About the role

Ray aims to provide a universal API for building distributed applications. To achieve this goal requires a distributed system with high levels of performance and reliability. We're looking for engineers with systems software experience that are interested in contributing to the Ray backend.


About the Ray Core Team

The Ray Core team develops and maintains the Ray C++ backend (e.g., distributed scheduler, language runtime integration, I/O and memory subsystems). We are responsible for the reliability, scalability, and performance of Ray as well as ensuring that Ray provides the right feature set to support higher level libraries and use cases. The team works on a balance of new features / distributed libraries, test infra improvements, debugging, and longer-term architectural improvements to Ray.

About the role

The Customer Support Engineer will play a crucial role in the customers’ post-sale journey - helping them to onboard, adopt and grow on Anyscale, troubleshooting and resolving open customer tickets and driving consumption.

Anyscale is an ever evolving platform and hence will require close co-ordination with our engineering teams to debug complex issues. This is an exciting role for those who are technically curious and passionate about ML/AI, LLM, vLLM and the role of AI in next generation applications. As a Member of Technical Staff, Field Eng at Anyscale, you will be the technical face of our company and biggest advocate for our customers. You’ll work closely with sales, product management, and engineering to ensure that our product has the right experiences and shape to drive value in customer engagements. 


The ideal candidate will be a scrappy executor, able to work independently, and lead complex POVs with our users as they adopt Anyscale and Ray. You’ll be on point for demoing our product, scoping POVs, making users successful, and amplifying the voice of our customers. You’ll work closely with sales, product management, and engineering to ensure that our product has the right experiences and shape to drive value in customer engagements. \n\n\n\n\nThe ideal candidate will be a scrappy executor, able to work independently, and lead complex POVs with our users as they adopt Anyscale and Ray. The ML Developer Experience team is responsible for creating the suite of tools and services that enable users to create production quality applications using Ray. The product is the user’s primary interface into the world of Anyscale and by building a polished, stable, and well-designed product, we are able to enable a magical developer experience for our users. 

This team provides the interface for administering Anyscale components including Anyscale workspaces, production and development tools, ML Ops tools and integrations, and more. About the role

As a Member of Technical Staff, Field Eng at Anyscale, you will be the technical face of our company and biggest advocate for our customers. You’ll work closely with sales, product management, and engineering to ensure that our product has the right experiences and shape to drive value in customer engagements. 


The ideal candidate will be a scrappy executor, able to work independently, and lead complex POVs with our users as they adopt Anyscale and Ray. Ray aims to provide a universal API for building distributed applications (e.g. a machine learning pipeline of feature engineering, model training, and evaluation). Data is usually a core element connecting these different stages, and therefore plays a critical role in Ray’s usability, performance, and stability. We are looking for strong engineers to build, optimize, and scale Ray’s Datasets library and data processing capabilities in general.

About the Ray Data team:

The Ray Data team currently develops and maintains the Ray Datasets library, which is already powering critical production use cases (e.g. large scale data compaction at Amazon, and ML pipeline at Alibaba).
