Solutions Engineers at Axle build the integrations and technical infrastructure that enable our customers to connect distributed energy devices, orchestrate them, and participate in electricity markets.
This is a generalist engineering role, encompassing core software engineering, customer implementation, and solution design. We are looking for someone to develop a deep understanding of flexibility markets across the UK, who can collaborate cross-functionally, crunch numbers, and own critical daily and monthly operational processes.
Owning daily operations means sitting at the heart of the ‘Axle control room’. This involves running and optimising the most critical operations processes in the business: asset management, trading across UK flexibility markets, and ultimately ensuring our clients and end customers get paid for the flex they deliver.

This is a role that spans both sales and go to market. You’ll be responsible for both winning new partners (OEMs, utilities, platforms, etc.) and making those partnerships succeed over time.

Software Engineers at Axle build the core infrastructure for connecting to distributed energy devices, orchestrating them, and allowing them to participate in electricity markets.

This role is for someone who can drive growth, generate demand, and build a repeatable marketing engine as Axle scales. You'll be our first Growth Marketing hire and be responsible for shaping our growth marketing strategy from the ground up, experimenting with channels, campaigns and messaging to find what works and scale it.
