THE ROLE
This is a new role in a new practice. You’ll help enterprise clients take their work apart and put it back together using tools from our partners, Anthropic and OpenAI.
Workflow Engineers discover, design, build, and teach AI-enabled workflows. You walk into an organization, run a training session that changes how they work, help them redesign the workflows that matter most, and build the skills, plugins, and playbooks that let their teams keep going after you’re gone.
We expect you to own things: curriculum, methodology, delivery approach. Proactively problem-solve when the approach isn’t working.
WHAT YOU GET TO DO
Four areas. The mix flexes by engagement and by quarter as the practice scales.
Enablement Delivery
Design and deliver training — from half-day leadership sessions to multi-week engagements.
Facilitate workshops that help technical and non-technical teams build real confidence with the tools, then measure whether it stuck.
Coach client champions through adoption, not just tool proficiency.
Spot follow-on opportunities during and after training. Surface them to Account Leads with enough context to scope and close.
Workflow Design & Build with Champions
Take work apart. Understand what's actually happening before you redesign anything.
Redesign workflows around partner tools, with the human in the loop.
Build skills, plugins, playbooks, and connector patterns alongside clients — not for them.
Document the redesign so it can be replicated across teams and departments.
Discovery & Use Case Development
Partner with clients to identify high-value AI use cases and build the business case.
Lead discovery workshops and use case prioritization sessions using our Blueprint scoring framework.
Collaborate with Account Leads to scope engagements and define success metrics.
Practice Development
Own our partner enablement methodology: curriculum, session playbooks, assessment tools, certification pathways.
Create reusable workflow patterns and training assets so we don't rebuild every engagement from scratch.
Define what good looks like: quality standards, client outcomes, adoption signals we can track and feed back into the curriculum.
Support pre-sales: scoping, proposal development, helping Account Leads explain what an engagement actually delivers.
WHAT WILL HELP YOU SUCCEED
Required
5+ years in service design, user experience, product, strategy consulting, change enablement, or a similar client-facing role where you helped people work differently.
Demonstrable human-centered design mindset — you start with the work and the humans doing it, not the tool.
Hands-on fluency with Claude Cowork, ChatGPT, or similar agentic platforms. You understand prompt design, skill building, and how these tools actually change work. If you've built skills, plugins, or custom workflows, even better.
Experience designing and delivering workshops or enablement sessions. You know the difference between a session that felt good and one that changed behavior.
Strong written and verbal communication. You can talk to an executive and to an engineer in the same meeting without losing either.

THE ROLE
The AI Product Leader sits at the intersection of product delivery, engagement leadership, and applied AI strategy. In practice it looks like: ~40% product delivery, ~40% client leadership, ~20% AI strategy. You will lead 2–3 concurrent engagements and be accountable for shipping, adoption, and measurable impact.
WHAT YOU GET TO DO
1) Product delivery and execution
Own backlogs, prioritization, and sprint execution across 2–3 engagements.
Run standups, planning, retros, and cross-team coordination with engineering/design/data.
Write crisp user stories and acceptance criteria; make trade-offs under real constraints.
Ensure production readiness: security, compliance, data governance, deployment, and operational runbooks.
Drive post-launch iteration using user feedback, telemetry, and KPI performance.
2) Client and engagement leadership
Lead client working sessions and check-ins; steer decision-making with exec and practitioner stakeholders.
Translate ambiguity into clear plans, milestones, and measurable outcomes.
Own delivery health: scope, risks, dependencies, and expectation management.
Partner with the engagement lead/account team on renewals/expansions and executive readouts (no hard sales quota).
3) Applied AI strategy (GenAI-heavy)
Help clients choose the right approach: workflow redesign, retrieval, tool use, evaluation strategy, rollout.
Design evaluation and measurement: rubrics, golden datasets, offline/online testing, and monitoring plans.
Make practical architecture-level recommendations with engineers (you don’t have to be the architect).
Stay current on model capabilities/limits and translate that into realistic product decisions.
WHAT WILL HELP YOU SUCCEED
You have shipped software to production and can point to what you built, what changed, and how it performed.
You can run delivery: budget, backlog, sprints, trade-offs, and stakeholder alignment (without hiding behind process).
You are fluent in modern GenAI patterns (prompting, RAG basics, evaluation, iteration) and have hands-on experience using tools to build prototypes or workflows.
You thrive in ambiguity: starting with incomplete requirements, making decisions with imperfect information, and adapting as you learn.
What we’ll accept as equivalent
Client leadership can be external clients or internal “enterprise clients” where you owned budget, outcomes, timelines, and executive stakeholders.
Experience with AI-powered low-code platforms (V0, Bolt, Lovable) for rapid prototyping and stakeholder demos
AI experience can be GenAI product work or adjacent data/ML product work plus clear hands-on GenAI experimentation in the last 12 months.

AI/GenAI Product Manager who has also led enterprise delivery and exec stakeholders.
Engagement Manager/Delivery Lead from a SaaS/AI product company who has shipped software and can do product thinking.

As a Forward Deployed Engineer you'll turn advisory conversations into shipped software, closing the gap between a promising demo and a system that runs in production, where most enterprise AI initiatives stall. You embed with a client, earn trust at the executive level, and stay hands-on from the first scoping session through the live deployment. You are equal parts technical leader and trusted advisor: you shape what gets built, you build it with a lean team of AI engineers, and you own whether it actually works in production.
The playbook for this practice is still being written, and you will write a lot of it: how we embed, how we prove value, and what we bring back from each engagement.
Forward deployed means what it says. Expect roughly 25 to 40% travel to client sites, heavier during kickoffs and go-lives. The rest of the time you work wherever you work best.
This is a senior, high-autonomy role with real ownership: you carry a small number of accounts deeply, and you are measured on outcomes clients can see.

Typically 7+ years building and shipping software, including real time as a technical leader who executives actually trusted

AI Architecture Expertise: Deep understanding of production AI systems design, scalability, and reliability
Production AI Leadership: Extensive hands-on experience building, deploying, and operating AI systems
System Design Mastery: Can architect complex AI integrations that scale, handle edge cases, and provide excellent observability
AI Tooling Depth: Expert knowledge of LLM APIs, vector databases, prompt engineering, agents, and emerging AI tools
Full-Stack Fluency: Advanced development skills across frontend, backend, and infrastructure
AI Observability & Evals: Experience building evaluation frameworks and monitoring for AI systems
Technical Leadership: You mentor others, set technical standards, and drive architectural decisions
Strategic Thinking: You connect technical decisions to business outcomes
Learning Mindset: You stay current with the rapidly evolving AI landscape
At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience, with a demonstrated ability to deliver production‑ready AI features that real users depend on
Proven record of shipping complex, mission‑critical software
Strong full‑stack and/or backend development skills applied to real projects
Experience designing and leading technically challenging work from concept through delivery
Shown ability to guide others, share knowledge, and influence technical direction
Experience building RAG systems at scale
Deep experience with vector databases and semantic search
Background in AI observability, evaluation frameworks, or monitoring
Experience with agent-based architectures and agentic AI systems
Understanding of inference optimization and model serving
Previous mentorship or technical leadership roles
Contribution to AI-focused open source projects
