As a Scientific Solution Consultant, you are the primary scientific/technical solution lead who presents the capabilities, value and benefit of Cradle’s platform and services to key scientists, experimental and computational biologists, IT, and executives at prospects and customers.
You partner closely with Account Executives and other teammates on the Go-To-Market team throughout the entire buying journey. You stay up-to-date on Cradle's latest technical capabilities and proof points, and provide feedback to the product and technical teams on ways to improve Cradle's demo and offering.
You will own and manage scientific and technical ‘discovery’ to understand the customer’s current landscape, uncover and identify customer projects, capabilities and challenges.

Scientific academic degree (MS, PhD) in biology or biochemistry. Eg. structural or molecular biology, bioinformatics, pharmaceutical sciences, biochemical engineering, or other.
Minimum 2 years of professional experience (post-degree), preferably in a solution consultant type role, and/or in related customer facing roles.
Experience with scientific/informatics software (LIMS, ELN, etc.) or other technical solutions sold/delivered into research and discovery functions is helpful. Especially if you demonstrated such solutions to research and computational scientists.
Ability to quickly understand various wet lab experimental workflows relevant to design of enzymes and therapeutic proteins is a must. Hands-on experience with designing and executing a variety of (high throughput) wet lab experimental workflows is a plus.
Experience with computational protein design (either as a grad student or professional), potentially involving use of AI/ML techniques, is helpful.

As a Scientific Advisor within our Customer Success team, you will play a key role in ensuring our customers achieve success with Cradle’s software and services. We are looking for a (Senior) Scientist to join our Large Libraries team and drive the development of novel high-throughput screening capabilities for protein-protein interactions. In this role, you will work on developing novel methods to screen protein variant libraries (e.g. antibodies) for measurement of protein interaction binding affinities. You will develop innovative methods to explore sequence-function landscapes, generating large-scale datasets. These datasets will power the Cradle AI/ML platform models, strengthen design recommendations, accelerate protein optimization, and deepen understanding of protein performance. Your efforts will enable our customers to engineer better proteins, faster across biotechnology applications.
Method Development & Execution
Develop and optimize novel workflows for high-throughput protein-protein interaction library screening
Build and optimize in vitro or cell-based assay pipelines across multiple display and screening modalities (yeast, phage, mRNA, ribosome display, or mammalian display)
Design, build, and execute molecular biology and biochemistry frameworks for library construction, screening, and data generation at scale
Establish robust and repeatable assays with the statistical rigor required for ML model training, evaluation and optimization
Technical Leadership
Drive and lead projects from experimental design through data delivery
Identify opportunities to improve throughput, data quality, repeatability, and workflow efficiency.
Collaborate with a cross-functional team to troubleshoot complex technical challenges and iterate on solutions.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Partner with the ML team to define data requirements and integrate experimental outputs into the ML pipeline.
