Nonprofits use Givebutter to replace multiple tools so they can launch fundraisers and events, use donation forms and donor management (CRM), send emails and text blasts—all in one place. Use of the Givebutter platform is completely free with a 100% transparent tip-or-fee model.\n\n\n\nGivebutter has been certified as a Great Place to Work® every year since 2021, and is the #1 rated nonprofit software company on G2 across multiple categories.\n\n\n\nOur mission is to empower the changemaker in all of us. We believe giving should be fun, so you’ll want to do it again, and we also believe that work should be fun, so that you’ll have the greatest impact. We are excited to hear from talented people who want to work with other talented people in making the world a butter place—and have fun along the way. \n\n\n\n\nROLE DESCRIPTION\n\nGivebutter is hiring a Design Engineer to join our Growth pod. It's a rare role for engineers who miss designing or designers who learned to code. You'll build the marketing experiences that make nonprofits fall in love with Givebutter at first click, partnering with our design team to turn prototypes into production-grade motion, interaction, and web craft. You'll ship real code on our Astro-based marketing site, and occasionally collaborate with our 3rd-party Webflow team on cross-cutting concerns like analytics and tracking.\n\n\n\nThis isn't a content-management or no-code-only role. You'll help shape how Givebutter looks, feels, and behaves on the internet, from the motion on a hero section to the logic behind a data-driven campaign page. Our marketing site should feel like Givebutter: fun, warm, alive. Not a separate world from the product. We care about your ideas, your taste, and the code you ship.\n\n\n\n\nWHY JOIN THE GIVEBUTTER ENGINEERING TEAM?\n\n - Democracy of code – We value equal contributions from all engineers and foster an environment of open discussion on architecture and ideas.\n\n - Autonomy in work – We keep meetings to a minimum. Engineers have the freedom to manage their own calendars and block out uninterrupted time for focused work.\n\n - Automated CI/CD – Our build and deployment processes are fully automated and hands-off, allowing engineers to focus on problem-solving through code.\n\n - Mission-driven, full stop – You’ll be working with inspiring nonprofits, charities, and organizations that are making a positive impact around the world.\n\n - Creative engineering culture – Motion, craft, and taste are engineering concerns here, not decoration. You'll have the autonomy to make the internet-facing expression of our brand feel as fun as the product does.\n\n - AI-native workflow – We vibe code with a plan and review the output. You'll help us keep that discipline tight.\n   \n   \n\n\nWE WANT TO HEAR FROM PEOPLE WHO…\n\n - Treat marketing surfaces like product surfaces — crafted, performant, interactive, and deeply intentional\n\n - Have strong visual and interaction taste, and can translate ambitious design direction into polished frontend experiences\n\n - Care about the details: motion curves, loading states, typography rhythm, accessibility, responsiveness, and performance\n\n - Like working across disciplines and can comfortably collaborate with Design, Growth, Marketing, and Engineering\n\n - Are excited by ambiguity and want to help define what modern AI-assisted marketing engineering looks like\n\n - Use AI tools thoughtfully in their workflow, with clear judgment about where automation helps and where human craft matters\n   \n   \n\n\nRESPONSIBILITIES\n\n - Build acquisition and marketing surfaces in our Astro-based site, where you're free from the constraints of our Webflow-hosted content pages to make things that are faster, more interactive, more personalized, and more fun\n\n - Partner with Design to translate Figma, prototypes, and AI-generated explorations into production-grade motion and interaction, and own the motion and interaction primitives that evolve across marketing and eventually product\n\n - Build data-driven marketing pages that bring our real campaign and cause data to life: per-cause hubs, per-campaign stories, per-vertical landing pages, with the kind of craft and taste that makes them feel hand-made even when they're templated\n\n - Wire our marketing surfaces into the same analytics and feature-flag plumbing our product team uses; we've got PostHog across the stack and LaunchDarkly in the dashboard, with real room to extend those patterns into how we ship marketing\n\n - Collaborate with our 3rd-party Webflow team on the cross-cutting work that spans our whole web presence (analytics and tracking instrumentation, SEO, technical decisions)\n\n - Partner with Growth, Marketing, Design, and the product engineering team as a natural translator between what each group needs\n   \n   \n\n\nREQUIREMENTS\n\n - 4+ years of professional frontend engineering experience building production web applications or marketing sites\n\n - Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript\n\n - Strong understanding of semantic HTML, modern CSS, responsive layouts, and browser rendering behavior\n\n - Production experience with modern frontend frameworks such as Astro, React, Next.js, or Svelte\n\n - Experience implementing advanced frontend animation systems using tools such as GSAP, Framer Motion, View Transitions API, Lottie, or scroll-linked animations\n\n - Experience integrating analytics, A/B testing, or feature flagging systems (e.g. PostHog, LaunchDarkly, Segment, Amplitude)\n\n - Experience building reusable frontend components and interaction systems with maintainable architecture\n\n - Strong understanding of Core Web Vitals, frontend performance optimization, and accessibility standards (WCAG, reduced motion support, semantic structure)\n\n - Experience collaborating in Figma-based design workflows and implementing pixel-accurate UI from design specifications\n\n - Comfortable reviewing, debugging, and refining AI-assisted code output before production deployment\n\n - Experience using Git-based workflows and collaborating within engineering teams using pull requests and code reviews\n   \n   \n\n\nNICE TO HAVE\n\n - Enough Webflow comfort to collaborate with a 3rd-party team on tracking, analytics, and technical decisions (this is not a content-management role)\n\n - Experience with data-driven page generation (CMS-driven templates, content collections, dynamic routing, and programmatic patterns that prioritize quality over volume)\n\n - Design systems or motion primitive library maintenance\n\n - Cloudflare Workers / edge routing / SEO / Core Web Vitals\n\n - Background in a designer-first environment (agency, studio, or former designer)\n\n - A personal site with personality (we will absolutely click through)\n\n - Experimentation and product-analytics experience: you've run A/B tests, instrumented your work in tools like PostHog, Amplitude, or Mixpanel, and can help us think about what good infrastructure would look like here\n\n - Nonprofit or mission-driven experience\n   \n   \n\n\nABOUT THE BAR\n\nThis role is reviewed by our VP of Design, VP of Growth, and CTPO. Nonprofits use Givebutter to replace multiple tools so they can launch fundraisers and events, use donation forms and donor management (CRM), send emails and text blasts—all in one place. Use of the Givebutter platform is completely free with a 100% transparent tip-or-fee model.\n\n\n\nGivebutter has been certified as a Great Place to Work® every year since 2021, and is the #1 rated nonprofit software company on G2 across multiple categories.\n\n\n\nOur mission is to empower the changemaker in all of us. We believe giving should be fun, so you’ll want to do it again, and we also believe that work should be fun, so that you’ll have the greatest impact. We are excited to hear from talented people who want to work with other talented people in making the world a butter place—and have fun along the way. \n\n\n\n\nROLE DESCRIPTION\n\nGivebutter is hiring a Commercial & Product Counsel to own Givebutter's commercial contracting function and serve as a trusted legal partner to teams across the company. You will be the first lawyer our cross-functional teams turn to on a daily basis, and you will have the autonomy to run the contracting motion end-to-end. Your work directly enables the General Counsel to shift from day-to-day tactical execution to strategic leadership, so your ability to operate independently and at speed is the single most important quality we're looking for.\n\n\n\nThe Legal team at Givebutter manages a steady flow of vendor agreements, customer contracts, partnership deals, and product questions that need sharp legal judgment, fast.\n\n\n\nThis is a high-ownership role. You will build and refine the playbooks, templates, and workflows that define how Givebutter contracts. You will counsel product teams on legal risk before features ship. You will negotiate deals that protect our reputation with the nonprofits who trust us. And you will do all of it using modern tools, including AI-powered contract review and agentic workflows, because we believe legal teams should build leverage through technology, not headcount.\n\n\n\nIf you want to be a business partner who happens to have a law degree (not the other way around), and you thrive when you own problems end-to-end, this role is for you.\n\n\n\nWe want to hear from people who…\n\n - Have deep commercial contracting experience: you've negotiated hundreds of agreements across SaaS, vendor, customer, and data processing contexts, and you can do it quickly without sacrificing quality\n\n - Have built contracting processes from scratch: templates, playbooks, fallback language, approval workflows, self-serve tools. You've done it before, and you can stand it up overnight if needed\n\n - Have hands-on experience with AI tools for legal work: you've used AI-powered contract review, AI agents, or agentic workflows in practice (not just read about them), and you have opinions about what works\n\n - Have strong product counseling skills: you can spot the legal issue in a product spec, explain the risk in plain language, and propose a path forward that doesn't kill the feature\n\n - Can operate independently at high speed: you don't need to be told what to do next, you manage your own queue, and you exercise sound judgment about when to escalate\n\n - Communicate clearly and directly with non-legal stakeholders: sales, PDE, finance, operations, people, and leadership\n\n - Understand that reputation is everything for a platform that nonprofits trust with their fundraising, and you factor that into every decision\n   \n   \n\nResponsibilities\n\nCommercial Contracting (Primary Focus)\n\n - First-chair all inbound vendor agreements: negotiate, redline, and close contracts with technology vendors, service providers, data processors, and other third parties across the full range of agreement types (SaaS, DPAs, NDAs, professional services, licensing)\n\n - First-chair all outbound customer and sales contracts: own the contracting process for Givebutter's revenue-generating agreements, including enterprise customer terms and service agreements\n\n - Build the contracting infrastructure: develop and maintain templates, playbooks, fallback positions, and self-serve tools that enable operations and sales teams to move faster with less legal bottleneck\n\n - Implement and optimize AI-powered legal workflows: use AI tools, AI agents, and agentic workflows for contract review, clause analysis, and negotiation support; continuously iterate on the legal ops tech stack to maximize throughput without sacrificing quality\n\n - Manage contract lifecycle: own the process from intake through execution, including tracking obligations, renewal dates, and key terms across the portfolio\n\nPartnerships\n\n - Second-chair partnership agreements: support the General Counsel on strategic partnerships, including payment processor relationships, platform integrations, and channel partnerships\n\n - Draft and negotiate ancillary partnership documents: handle the supporting agreements, amendments, and operational terms that flow from partnership relationships\n\nProduct Counseling & Compliance Support\n\n - Serve as day-to-day legal advisor to the product team: help drive our Product Roadmap by affirmatively suggesting opportunities for expansion and advise Product, Design & Engineering (PDE) on compliance-by-design for new features, payment flows, and data practices\n\n - Support the General Counsel and Security & Compliance Manager on compliance matters: assist with regulatory filings, licensing questions, privacy compliance, and consumer protection issues as they arise\n\n - Advise on marketing and commercial claims: review marketing materials, competitive positioning, and customer-facing disclosures for legal risk\n\nCorporate & General Support\n\n - Support the General Counsel on corporate work: assist with corporate governance, equity matters, and board-level projects as needed\n\n - Support claims and disputes: help manage claims, demand letters, and escalated customer disputes under the General Counsel's direction\n\n - Contribute to legal team development: help build the processes, documentation, and institutional knowledge that will scale with Givebutter's growth\n   \n   \n\nRequirements\n\n - A J.D. and active bar membership in at least one US jurisdiction\n\n - 5–7 years of legal experience, with meaningful time spent in-house at a growth-stage fintech company (experience at a payments company or fundraising platform strongly preferred)\n\n - High-volume commercial contracting execution\n\n - Contracting systems & infrastructure buildout\n\n - Product counseling in a high growth, tech environment\n\n - Applied use of legal technology and AI tools\n\n\n\n\nMORE ABOUT GIVEBUTTER\n\nBenefits https://givebutter.notion.site/Benefits-49d3a8c28f1b4bbc90509dd8d4db3312\n\n - Remote Work: Work remotely from one of our 10 hubs (Austin, Denver, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Salt Lake City, Minneapolis, Seattle, and Nashville).\n\n - Health Insurance: We offer Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance covered 100% for employees as well as HSA and FSA accounts.\n\n - Dependent Care Coverage: We offer coverage for dependents, with 50% of Medical, Dental, and Vision premiums covered for all eligible dependents.\n\n - Mental Health: Givebutter health insurance plans come with access to a TalkSpace membership.\n\n - 401k: We offer a 3% 401k match for all eligible employee's.\n\n - Vacation and Holidays: Givebutter offers a Flexible PTO policy with uncapped vacation days and company-recognized holidays.\n\n - Wellness Week: Givebutter closes for one week each summer to prioritize rest and recharge for the entire team.\n\n - Parental Leave: We offer 12 weeks of paid leave for all parents and comprehensive leave planning management through Aidora.\n\n - Family Care Support: Access a company-paid UrbanSitter membership plus care credits to book trusted, background-checked caregivers for childcare, senior care, pet care, and household support when you need it most.\n\n - Home Office Stipend: Upgrade your home office with company-sponsored expenses, including high-quality laptops, monitors, and modern technology.\n\n - Coworking Stipend: Enjoy a monthly stipend that gives you the freedom to work from coworking spaces or cafés whenever you need connection, community, or a change of scenery.\n\n - Charitable Giving: Employees are encouraged to donate up to $50/month to any verified nonprofit they wish to support on Givebutter.\n\n - Professional Development: We offer learning and development reimbursement opportunities.\n\n - Love What You Do: We are a mission-driven company serving the charitable sector. Nonprofits use Givebutter to replace multiple tools so they can launch fundraisers and events, use donation forms and donor management (CRM), send emails and text blasts—all in one place. Use of the Givebutter platform is completely free with a 100% transparent tip-or-fee model.\n\n\n\nGivebutter has been certified as a Great Place to Work® every year since 2021, and is the #1 rated nonprofit software company on G2 across multiple categories.\n\n\n\nOur mission is to empower the changemaker in all of us. We believe giving should be fun, so you’ll want to do it again, and we also believe that work should be fun, so that you’ll have the greatest impact. We are excited to hear from talented people who want to work with other talented people in making the world a butter place—and have fun along the way. \n\n\n\n\nROLE DESCRIPTION\n\nGivebutter is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead our Treasury pod. You'll be directly responsible for delivering world-class financial infrastructure to our nonprofit users, maturing our engineering practices, and growing a team of skilled engineers.\n\n\n\nEngineering Managers at Givebutter are hands-on. You'll ship code, review PRs, make architectural decisions from a place of actual context, and stay close to production - monitoring systems, jumping into incidents, and understanding how your team's work actually behaves in the wild. We don't expect you to carry IC load like a senior engineer, but we do expect you to be in the editor regularly, pair when it helps the team, and prototype your way through ambiguity. If you've been fully out of the code for years and want to stay there, this probably isn't the right fit. The managers who thrive here earn trust on both the people side and the technical side.\n\n\n\nYou'll report directly to our VP of Engineering and carry out our product vision while building a scalable engineering culture that breeds innovation. You'll make sure we ship excellent user experiences on time without compromising on security, design, or performance. You'll cultivate a team of high performers by removing roadblocks, building processes that incentivize excellence, and bringing real expertise in fintech and financial systems. We've already built a strong foundation, powering hundreds of millions of donations to over 40k organizations, and you'll take that impact much further.\n\n\n\nWhy join Givebutter's Engineering team?\n\n - Code Democracy – Every engineer has a voice. We value diverse perspectives and foster an environment for open discussion on architecture and technical ideas.\n\n - Autonomy & Focus – Our engineers enjoy flexibility with minimal meetings and uninterrupted time to dive deep into problem-solving.\n\n - Seamless CI/CD – Our deployment pipelines are fully automated, enabling engineers to focus on creating impactful code rather than managing deployments.\n\n - Mission-Driven Work – You’ll be part of a team that supports nonprofits, charities, and organizations making a real difference around the world.\n   \n   \n\nWhat You’ll Bring to the Team\n\n - An execution mindset with a strong bias toward delivering and iterating\n\n - A product-oriented approach with a keen eye for consistency and user impact\n\n - A passion for leadership and the ability to scale engineering practices in a high-growth environment\n\n - Experience building financial products and a deep understanding of money movement, compliance, and financial infrastructure\n   \n   \n\nResponsibilities\n\n - Collaborate with the VP of Engineering to develop and execute the Treasury engineering strategy\n\n - Lead, manage, and mentor a talented team of full-stack engineers building Givebutter Wallet features, payment tools, and financial dashboards\n\n - Own the Treasury engineering function, setting technical direction and ensuring alignment with company objectives\n\n - Drive the development of same-day ACH transfer tools, card issuing systems, and QuickBooks integration that help nonprofits move money faster\n\n - Build and maintain financial infrastructure that enables nonprofits to earn rewards on their funds and put money to work faster\n\n - Bring technical expertise to the evolution of Givebutter's financial systems; ensure architecture and stack are optimized for security, reliability, and growth\n\n - Improve internal engineering workflows, continually refining best practices\n\n - Champion code quality across the team and uphold a high standard for maintainable and scalable solutions\n\n - Evaluate and apply AI and machine learning tools to drive innovation in financial product development\n   \n   \n\nRequirements\n\n - 7+ years of experience in full-stack development with expertise in modern web technologies (e.g., React, JavaScript, TypeScript, PHP/Laravel)\n\n - Hands-on experience designing and building scalable financial or fintech systems, ideally including payment processing, ACH, card issuing, or accounting integrations\n\n - At least 2+ years of experience managing a team of 5+ engineers\n\n - Strong understanding of financial compliance, security requirements, and data integrity in regulated environments\n\n - Proven experience in people management, mentorship, and clear communication\n\n - Demonstrated success in hiring and developing remote engineering teams\n\n - Experience in a product-led growth environment is a strong plus\n\n\n\n\nMORE ABOUT GIVEBUTTER\n\nBenefits https://givebutter.notion.site/Benefits-49d3a8c28f1b4bbc90509dd8d4db3312\n\n - Remote Work: Work remotely from one of our 10 hubs (Austin, Denver, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Salt Lake City, Minneapolis, Seattle, and Nashville).\n\n - Health Insurance: We offer Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance covered 100% for employees as well as HSA and FSA accounts.\n\n - Dependent Care Coverage: We offer coverage for dependents, with 50% of Medical, Dental, and Vision premiums covered for all eligible dependents.\n\n - Mental Health: Givebutter health insurance plans come with access to a TalkSpace membership.\n\n - 401k: We offer a 3% 401k match for all eligible employee's.\n\n - Vacation and Holidays: Givebutter offers a Flexible PTO policy with uncapped vacation days and company-recognized holidays.\n\n - Wellness Week: Givebutter closes for one week each summer to prioritize rest and recharge for the entire team.\n\n - Parental Leave: We offer 12 weeks of paid leave for all parents and comprehensive leave planning management through Aidora.\n\n - Family Care Support: Access a company-paid UrbanSitter membership plus care credits to book trusted, background-checked caregivers for childcare, senior care, pet care, and household support when you need it most.\n\n - Home Office Stipend: Upgrade your home office with company-sponsored expenses, including high-quality laptops, monitors, and modern technology.\n\n - Coworking Stipend: Enjoy a monthly stipend that gives you the freedom to work from coworking spaces or cafés whenever you need connection, community, or a change of scenery.\n\n - Charitable Giving: Employees are encouraged to donate up to $50/month to any verified nonprofit they wish to support on Givebutter.\n\n - Professional Development: We offer learning and development reimbursement opportunities.\n\n - Love What You Do: We are a mission-driven company serving the charitable sector. Nonprofits use Givebutter to replace multiple tools so they can launch fundraisers and events, use donation forms and donor management (CRM), send emails and text blasts—all in one place. Use of the Givebutter platform is completely free with a 100% transparent tip-or-fee model.\n\n\n\nGivebutter has been certified as a Great Place to Work® every year since 2021, and is the #1 rated nonprofit software company on G2 across multiple categories.\n\n\n\nOur mission is to empower the changemaker in all of us. We believe giving should be fun, so you’ll want to do it again, and we also believe that work should be fun, so that you’ll have the greatest impact. We are excited to hear from talented people who want to work with other talented people in making the world a butter place—and have fun along the way. \n\n\n\n\nROLE DESCRIPTION\n\nWe're looking for a hands-on, solutions-oriented Senior IT & Business Continuity Manager to own Givebutter's IT operations and compliance program and become a true operational partner across the business. As our first in-house IT hire, you'll report to our VP of Engineering and work closely with our Sr. Platform Engineering Manager), and our Chief of Staff and our People team to ensure every Butter Slice has the tools, access, and support they need to do their best work.\n\nThis role has a clear scope: approximately 70% IT operations (device management, SaaS administration, identity lifecycle, onboarding/offboarding) and 30% GRC and compliance project management. We're also hiring a dedicated Security Engineer who will own the technical security posture of our production systems — cloud infrastructure hardening, fraud prevention, and incident response. Your lane is the IT and GRC layer: keeping the business tooled up, access controls clean, and our compliance certifications (SOC 2, ISO 27001, and PCI) moving forward through Vanta, our GRC platform.\n\n\n\nWe want to hear from people who…\n\n - Take ownership and love building from zero. You’re energized by creating structure where none exists and setting a strong foundation for scale.\n\n - Are deeply curious and proactive. You don’t wait for problems to surface; you anticipate needs and continuously improve systems and processes.\n\n - Balance security with usability. You care about protecting the business but also understand how to keep tools fast, accessible, and frictionless for teammates.\n\n - Communicate clearly and empathetically. You can translate technical concepts into plain language and build trust across all levels of the company.\n\n - Embrace new technology thoughtfully, especially AI, and are excited to help teams adopt tools responsibly while maximizing their impact.\n\n - Can meet anyone where they are whether you're talking to an engineer or an account executive, you make the technical stuff land.\n   \n   \n\nResponsibilities\n\n - Own all IT operations end-to-end: device procurement & management, SaaS administration, and identity & access management.\n\n - Administer our Mobile Device Management (MDM) platform and maintain a healthy, secure fleet of Mac and Windows devices.\n\n - Manage core business tools like Google Workspace, Slack, Notion, 1Password, and more — and evaluate new ones as we grow.\n\n - Lead IT onboarding and offboarding so every new hire has a great Day 1 (and every departure is handled cleanly).\n\n - Own our Notion workspace as a core IT system: manage permissions and access controls, maintain structural integrity as we scale, and partner with teams to ensure it stays organized, useful, and secure.\n\n - Stay ahead of AI tooling: evaluate, pilot, and govern AI tools across the business, establish guardrails for responsible use, manage access, and help teammates get the most out of tools like Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT, and others as they enter our stack.\n\n - Build and maintain IT documentation and self-service resources that actually empower teammates to help themselves.\n\n - Implement and maintain IT security fundamentals in close partnership with the Security Engineer: endpoint protection, MFA enforcement, and access controls — you own the IT and SaaS layer; the Security Engineer owns the production and cloud security layer.\n\n - Own Vanta, our GRC platform — manage our compliance posture, track controls, coordinate evidence collection, and project manage our SOC 2, ISO 27001, and PCI certification programs end-to-end.\n\n - Manage our current third-party IT partner (Mann) while building toward transitioning support in-house over time.\n\n - Serve as the go-to for troubleshooting and support, not as a ticket-closer, but as a genuine partner to the team.\n\n - Think proactively: identify gaps before they become problems and build the infrastructure for where we're going, not just where we are.\n   \n   \n\nRequirements\n\n - 5+ years of IT experience, ideally at a high-growth startup or remote-first SaaS or fintech company.\n\n - Proven ability to build from scratch — you don't need a playbook to get started, and you know how to prioritize in ambiguous environments.\n\n - Hands-on experience with a GRC tool — Vanta strongly preferred; Drata or similar is acceptable. You've project-managed a compliance audit, not just supported one.\n\n - Familiarity with SOC 2 and at least one of ISO 27001 or PCI DSS — the three certifications we're targeting over the next year or two.\n\n - Strong project management instincts — you know how to keep a compliance program on track without it becoming a fire drill at audit time.\n\n - Hands-on experience administering Notion at scale — including permissions management, workspace governance, and working cross-functionally to keep it structured and useful.\n\n - Familiarity with AI tools and how they're being adopted in the workplace — you understand the productivity upside and the security/compliance considerations that come with them.\n\n - Strong communicator who can translate technical concepts without making anyone feel out of the loop.\n\n - Security-minded and pragmatic — you understand the tradeoffs and make smart, practical decisions (note: deep technical security expertise lives with the Security Engineer; this role partners, not leads, on that front).\n\n - Experience managing a Mac-heavy, fully remote team and the SaaS stack that comes with it.\n\n - Someone who genuinely cares about the people they support, not just the tickets they close.\n\n\n\n\nMORE ABOUT GIVEBUTTER\n\nBenefits https://givebutter.notion.site/Benefits-49d3a8c28f1b4bbc90509dd8d4db3312\n\n - Remote Work: Work remotely from one of our 10 hubs (Austin, Denver, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Salt Lake City, Minneapolis, Seattle, and Nashville).\n\n - Health Insurance: We offer Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance covered 100% for employees as well as HSA and FSA accounts.\n\n - Dependent Care Coverage: We offer coverage for dependents, with 50% of Medical, Dental, and Vision premiums covered for all eligible dependents.\n\n - Mental Health: Givebutter health insurance plans come with access to a TalkSpace membership.\n\n - 401k: We offer a 3% 401k match for all eligible employee's.\n\n - Vacation and Holidays: Givebutter offers a Flexible PTO policy with uncapped vacation days and company-recognized holidays.\n\n - Wellness Week: Givebutter closes for one week each summer to prioritize rest and recharge for the entire team.\n\n - Parental Leave: We offer 12 weeks of paid leave for all parents and comprehensive leave planning management through Aidora.\n\n - Family Care Support: Access a company-paid UrbanSitter membership plus care credits to book trusted, background-checked caregivers for childcare, senior care, pet care, and household support when you need it most.\n\n - Home Office Stipend: Upgrade your home office with company-sponsored expenses, including high-quality laptops, monitors, and modern technology.\n\n - Coworking Stipend: Enjoy a monthly stipend that gives you the freedom to work from coworking spaces or cafés whenever you need connection, community, or a change of scenery.\n\n - Charitable Giving: Employees are encouraged to donate up to $50/month to any verified nonprofit they wish to support on Givebutter.\n\n - Professional Development: We offer learning and development reimbursement opportunities.\n\n - Love What You Do: We are a mission-driven company serving the charitable sector. Nonprofits use Givebutter to replace multiple tools so they can launch fundraisers and events, use donation forms and donor management (CRM), send emails and text blasts—all in one place. Use of the Givebutter platform is completely free with a 100% transparent tip-or-fee model.\n\n\n\nGivebutter has been certified as a Great Place to Work® every year since 2021, and is the #1 rated nonprofit software company on G2 across multiple categories.\n\n\n\nOur mission is to empower the changemaker in all of us. We believe giving should be fun, so you’ll want to do it again, and we also believe that work should be fun, so that you’ll have the greatest impact. We are excited to hear from talented people who want to work with other talented people in making the world a butter place—and have fun along the way. \n\n\n\n\nROLE DESCRIPTION\n\nGivebutter is hiring an SEO Manager to help scale our organic growth and discovery efforts. In this role, you'll partner closely with the Manager of Content Marketing to identify high-impact opportunities, drive strategic SEO initiatives, and help shape how people discover Givebutter across search and emerging discovery channels. You'll play a key role in translating insights into action, bringing forward recommendations, leading initiatives, building scalable systems, and helping the team adapt to an evolving search landscape. This is a high-impact individual contributor role for someone who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution and thrives on turning opportunities into measurable growth.\n\n\n\nWe want to hear from people who…\n\n - Think holistically about SEO. You understand how content, technical foundations, site experience, and authority-building work together, and how to prioritize them to drive long-term growth.\n\n - Balance obsession with perspective. You sweat the details that matter (and ignore the ones that don’t), knowing when to go deep and when to zoom out to keep long-term growth on track.\n\n - At home in both planning and execution. You’re comfortable setting direction and rolling up your sleeves, shifting seamlessly between strategy and hands-on work.\n\n - Build scalable ways of working. You enjoy turning successful ideas and workflows into repeatable processes that help the team move faster and operate more effectively over time.\n\n - Care deeply about quality and results. You take pride in doing things well and creating work that delivers meaningful impact, for both the business and the people we serve. You care about creating genuinely useful content that earns trust, builds authority, and helps people solve real problems, all while driving measurable business outcomes and long-term growth.\n\n - Experiment with intention. You embrace emerging search opportunities and new technologies, but always with a clear hypothesis, a plan, and a way to measure success. You use data, user behavior, and market insights to evaluate opportunities and inform decisions.\n\n\n\nResponsibilities\n\n - Partner with the Manager of Content Marketing to identify, evaluate, and prioritize opportunities that support Givebutter's organic growth and discovery goals.\n\n - Lead keyword research, content gap analysis, competitive intelligence, audience research, and search trend monitoring to uncover high-impact opportunities.\n\n - Translate search insights, performance data, and market trends into actionable recommendations that inform content strategy, optimization priorities, and future investments.\n\n - Partner closely with Content, Brand, Growth, and Product Marketing teams to shape content plans, optimization initiatives, and scalable workflows that improve discoverability and performance.\n\n - Drive the execution of strategic SEO initiatives, ensuring projects move forward effectively and deliver measurable impact.\n\n - Collaborate with the Technical SEO Manager to identify, prioritize, and evaluate technical opportunities that improve organic visibility, discoverability, and user experience.\n\n - Coordinate and collaborate with external SEO agencies and partners, providing direction, reviewing deliverables, and ensuring work aligns with strategic priorities and quality standards.\n\n - Build and refine frameworks, documentation, and operating processes that make SEO and discovery efforts more scalable, consistent, and effective over time.\n\n - Champion experimentation across traditional search, AI-powered discovery, and emerging channels, using structured testing and data-driven decision making to identify new opportunities.\n\n - Stay ahead of changes in search behavior, platform evolution, and industry trends, translating emerging opportunities into recommendations that help Givebutter adapt and grow.\n\n\n\nRequirements\n\n - 5+ years of SEO experience with demonstrated ownership of strategic initiatives and measurable impact on organic growth.\n\n - Strong expertise across content-driven SEO, on-page optimization, keyword strategy, and search-driven content planning.\n\n - Working knowledge of technical SEO concepts and the ability to collaborate effectively on technical recommendations and prioritization.\n\n - Proficiency with leading SEO and analytics tools (e.g., GSC, GA4, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Looker, etc.).\n\n - Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize data, identify opportunities, and communicate actionable recommendations.\n\n - Experience working cross-functionally and influencing priorities across content, marketing, product, and technical stakeholders.\n\n - Excellent communication, organization, and project management skills.\n\n - Experience building workflows, frameworks, documentation, or systems that improve team effectiveness and scalability.\n\n - Curiosity about emerging search behaviors, AI-powered discovery, and evolving opportunities beyond traditional search engines.\n\n\n\n\nMORE ABOUT GIVEBUTTER\n\nBenefits https://givebutter.notion.site/Benefits-49d3a8c28f1b4bbc90509dd8d4db3312\n\n - Remote Work: Work remotely from one of our 10 hubs (Austin, Denver, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Salt Lake City, Minneapolis, Seattle, and Nashville).\n\n - Health Insurance: We offer Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance covered 100% for employees as well as HSA and FSA accounts.\n\n - Dependent Care Coverage: We offer coverage for dependents, with 50% of Medical, Dental, and Vision premiums covered for all eligible dependents.\n\n - Mental Health: Givebutter health insurance plans come with access to a TalkSpace membership.\n\n - 401k: We offer a 3% 401k match for all eligible employee's.\n\n - Vacation and Holidays: Givebutter offers a Flexible PTO policy with uncapped vacation days and company-recognized holidays.\n\n - Wellness Week: Givebutter closes for one week each summer to prioritize rest and recharge for the entire team.\n\n - Parental Leave: We offer 12 weeks of paid leave for all parents and comprehensive leave planning management through Aidora.\n\n - Family Care Support: Access a company-paid UrbanSitter membership plus care credits to book trusted, background-checked caregivers for childcare, senior care, pet care, and household support when you need it most.\n\n - Home Office Stipend: Upgrade your home office with company-sponsored expenses, including high-quality laptops, monitors, and modern technology.\n\n - Coworking Stipend: Enjoy a monthly stipend that gives you the freedom to work from coworking spaces or cafés whenever you need connection, community, or a change of scenery.\n\n - Charitable Giving: Employees are encouraged to donate up to $50/month to any verified nonprofit they wish to support on Givebutter.\n\n - Professional Development: We offer learning and development reimbursement opportunities.\n\n - Love What You Do: We are a mission-driven company serving the charitable sector. A recent study from LinkedIn https://business.linkedin.com/content/dam/me/business/en-us/talent-solutions-lodestone/body/pdf/Gender-Insights-Report.pdf showed that most women apply to jobs only when they meet 100% of the requirements, whereas men will hit the apply button if they hit 60%. So to the women and nonbinary folks out there feeling unsure if you're a perfect fit, we strongly encourage you to apply!"}],"apiVersion":"1"}
