This is a rare chance to own payroll and benefits at a growing defense manufacturer and shape how it's done. As our Senior Payroll & Benefits Specialist, you will run weekly payroll end to end, administer our benefits, manage leaves of absence, and serve as our go-to ADP Workforce Now (WFN) expert for payroll, deductions and the 401(k). You'll work independently and make the day-to-day calls, with the Head of People and our Finance team as close partners whenever you want a sounding board or a second set of eyes.
This is an on-site, individual contributor role reporting to the Head of People. As we continue to grow rapidly, you’ll build and implement scalable processes to support the company’s evolving needs. Your first key milestones will be taking full ownership of payroll administration in ADP and leading our February 2027 open enrollment.
Payroll
Own end-to-end payroll processing for weekly cycles covering exempt and non-exempt employees, including off-cycle runs, bonuses, and final pay.
Audit every payroll before submission: hours, overtime, earnings, deductions, garnishments and tax withholdings.
Partner with People Team and managers on new hire, job change and termination inputs so every payroll reflects accurate data.
Manage payroll tax filings and notices for North Carolina and Maryland, register new states as the team expands, and resolve agency correspondence.
Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end close with Finance, including accruals.
Prepare and support year-end processes, including W-2 review, corrections and annual reconciliations.
Maintain compliance with FLSA and state wage and hour laws, including accurate overtime calculations and exempt/non-exempt classification.
Prepare payroll reports and documentation for internal and external audits, and respond to auditor requests.
Partner with Finance to maintain DCAA-compliant timekeeping and labor-charging practices, reconcile time records to payroll, and support government audits of labor costs as needed.

Leave of absence
Manage all leave programs in-house, including FMLA, state family and medical leave, short- and long-term disability, military leave and parental leave.
Prepare and submit disability claim paperwork to our carrier, then stay in step with the carrier through the claim so leave status, pay and benefits stay aligned.
Track leave balances, eligibility and return-to-work dates accurately.
Keep benefits running for employees on leave: collect their premium contributions during unpaid leave, set up catch-up deductions on return, and prevent coverage gaps or lapses.
ADP Workforce Now administration
Serve as a system administrator for ADP WFN Core HR and Payroll.
Configure earnings and deduction codes (including benefit and 401(k) deductions).
Build and maintain reports and dashboards for Finance and leadership.
Maintain data integrity through regular audits of employee records.
Manage data flows between ADP WFN, the ADP 401(k) and benefit carriers.
Cross-functional
Serve as the primary contact for employee questions on pay, benefits and leave.
Coordinate payroll and benefits steps in onboarding and offboarding, including final pay, benefits termination and COBRA notices.
Conduct routine audits of payroll data, benefit elections and personnel records, and follow up on gaps promptly.
Create and maintain SOPs, job aids and employee self-service guides for payroll, benefits, leave and ADP WFN.
Keep payroll and benefits records organized, confidential and audit-ready in line with record-retention requirements.
5+ years of hands-on experience running payroll and administering benefits, ideally as the primary owner.
3+ years working with ADP Workforce Now, including configuration and custom reporting.
Working knowledge of multi-state payroll tax, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, ACA, ERISA and COBRA.
Experience managing leaves of absence and coordinating with disability carriers..
Exceptional accuracy and the judgment to handle confidential information with discretion.
Ability to manage competing deadlines independently with limited oversight.
Clear, empathetic communicator who can explain complex topics to employees at every level.
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC).
Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS), SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR.
Experience with ADP WFN implementations, integrations or module rollouts.
Experience in a government contractor environment, including DCAA-compliant timekeeping, labor distribution or DCAA audits.
Experience supporting a company through rapid growth, ideally scaling from roughly 100 to 200+ employees.

POSITION SUMMARY
Location: On-site
We are seeking a highly motivated EHS Manager to lead Kraken Kinetics’ safety and compliance initiatives across four locations supporting operations that include light manufacturing, engineering, administrative functions, and explosives testing activities. In this role, you will lead the development, implementation, and oversight of comprehensive safety programs within a dynamic environment, continually drive compliance and risk management initiatives, and help foster a culture of operational excellence while ensuring adherence to applicable local, state, and federal safety requirements. This role will provide you with the opportunity to build and lead safety programs that support manufacturing and explosives testing operations, within a mission-driven, fast-paced operational environment. This position will report to Head of Compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement occupational safety and health policies, procedures, and training that are consistent with North Carolina Department of Labor (NC DOL) and Occupational Safety Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, across the Company’s operations.
Design and oversee a Hazard Control Program that includes routine hazard assessments and workplace evaluations to identify and classify hazards, improve controls, and maintain regulatory compliance.
Lead response efforts for safety incidents, near misses, and operational events, including root-cause analysis, corrective action tracking, and lessons-learned implementation.
Collaborate with operations, engineering, and training sections to incorporate safety planning and risk mitigation into daily operations, testing operations, and facility processes across all sites.
Work closely with the Company Explosives Operations Manager to support safe R&D explosives testing operations and ensure compliance with applicable NC DOL, OSHA, and related regulatory requirements.
Manage required safety records, regulatory reporting, permits, and compliance documentation in accordance with applicable NC DOL, OSHA, environmental, and other relevant federal, state, and local requirements.
Monitor evolving regulatory requirements and industry best practices and recommend improvements to strengthen Kraken’s safety posture and operational readiness
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in safety management within the manufacturing industry.
Current OSHA 30 certification (General Industry) required, with the ability to maintain certification throughout employment.
Extensive knowledge of OSHA standards, North Carolina Department of Labor standards, Workers' Compensation procedures, and compliance management practices.
Experience developing and managing hazard and safety programs, including conducting risk assessments, performing safety audits, and delivering effective training to employees across diverse operational environments.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite or management software for tracking safety metrics and reporting.
Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively train personnel on safety procedures, operational risk awareness, and regulatory compliance requirements.

Kraken Kinetics is committed to offering a competitive compensation package to attract and retain top talent. This full-time, exempt position offers an annual salary range of $120,000 - $135,000 depending on qualifications and experience.

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer 3 to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain embedded software for Kraken's kinetic systems and components. As an Electrical Engineer 3, you will be responsible for the design, development, and integration of embedded electrical systems within Kraken Kinetics’ defense product systems. You will ensure that all systems meet stringent performance, security, and reliability requirements.
Electrical System Design & Development: Lead the design, analysis, and testing of electrical systems and components for ESADs, and related systems, ensuring compliance with military and industry standards

QUALIFICATIONS
Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field with a focus on embedded systems.
Professional Experience: 3–5 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in the defense, aerospace, or related high-reliability industries., with a demonstrated ability to meet programmatic requirements and schedule. Proven experience with designing and developing embedded systems and hardware for military or safety-critical applications
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of electrical circuit design, analog and digital systems, and embedded systems. Familiarity with PCB design tools (e.g., Altium, Eagle).
Experience with signal integrity analysis, power management, and thermal design for high-performance systems.

Position Summary

Kraken Kinetics is seeking a PCB Layout / ECAD Designer to support the development and release of printed circuit boards for advanced defense products. This role will work closely with electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, firmware engineers, and manufacturing partners to turn circuit designs into manufacturable, testable, and configuration-controlled PCB assemblies.
The PCB Layout / ECAD Designer will provide additional layout capacity and help mature Kraken’s ECAD practices, including library management, layout standards, release documentation, and design-for-manufacturing feedback. This role is ideal for a hands-on designer who can work quickly and independently[BS1] while helping establish disciplined practices that support a growing engineering team.
Roles & Responsibilities
Perform PCB layout for digital, analog, mixed-signal, power, and safety-critical electronics.
Collaborate with electrical engineers to understand schematics, design intent, routing constraints, and critical circuit requirements.
Work with mechanical engineers to define board outlines, connector placement, keep-in / keep-out zones, mounting features, and packaging constraints.
Create and maintain PCB footprints, symbols, component libraries, and ECAD documentation.
Support design-for-manufacturing (DFM), design-for-test (DFT), and design-for-assembly (DFA) reviews.
Generate fabrication and assembly outputs, including Gerbers, ODB++, pick-and-place files, drawings, stackup notes, and assembly documentation.
Interface with PCB fabrication and assembly vendors to resolve manufacturing questions and improve board quality.
Participate in PCB design reviews and contribute to layout standards, checklist development, and release practices.
Support ECOs, revision updates, and configuration-controlled release packages.
Help improve Kraken’s ECAD workflows, library discipline, and documentation practices as the team scales.
Required Qualifications
3+ years of professional PCB layout or ECAD design experience.
Proficiency with Altium Designer or similar professional PCB design tools.
Experience laying out multi-layer printed circuit boards.
Strong understanding of PCB fabrication, assembly processes, component footprints, and manufacturing documentation.
Ability to interpret schematics and work closely with electrical engineers to implement design intent.
Understanding of PCB design principles, including component placement, routing strategy, grounding, power distribution, and layer stack-up development.
Understanding of signal integrity concepts including EMI/EMC considerations, coupling and crosstalk mitigation, impedance[BS2] control, shielding, and isolation.
Working knowledge of applicable IPC standards and guidelines, and the workmanship requirements associated with IPC Class 1, 2, and 3 electronic assemblies.
Experience creating fabrication and assembly output packages.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple board designs or revisions concurrently.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional engineering environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with high-density, mixed-signal, high-reliability, or safety-critical PCB designs.
Experience with rigid-flex PCB design.
Experience with Altium library management, component lifecycle tracking, or ECAD standards development.
Familiarity with DFM/DFT practices, bed-of-nails test points, production test access, and panelization.
Experience with IPC standards related to PCB design, component creation & footprints, fabrication, or assembly.
Experience working with contract manufacturers, PCB fabricators, and assembly houses.
Background in defense, aerospace, medical device, robotics, or other high-reliability electronics environments.
Experience supporting ECOs, configuration management, and production release workflows.

POSITION SUMMARY
Location: On Site — based out of Pinehurst, NC area facility
Kraken Kinetics is seeking an experienced U.S. Export Control Lead to head the company's quickly growing U.S. export compliance program. This high-impact role is for an experienced practitioner who has operated as the primary export compliance owner for a regulated business. Reporting to the Head of Legal, this individual serves as the company’s principal point of contact on U.S. export controls, working with outside counsel and experts when needed, and partnering closely with executive leadership, security, HR, manufacturing, and training.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the company’s Export Control Officer, overseeing the company’s export control compliance program.
Determine export jurisdiction and classification for hardware and technology under the ITAR and EAR.
Identify licensing requirements and manage export licenses, exemptions, and agreements, including TAAs and MLAs.
Conduct end-use, end-user, and restricted-party screening, including sanctions and diversion-risk due diligence.
Manage deemed export compliance and maintain Technology Control Plans (TCPs).
Maintain auditable export records and support internal audits, gap assessments, and corrective actions.
Develop and deliver export control training across the organization.
Partner with Sales, Engineering, Training, Business Development, and Supply Chain to integrate export requirements into daily operations.
Monitor regulatory developments and engage with industry groups and government agencies on emerging requirements.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in International Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field or JD from an accredited law school and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
3-5+ years of relevant experience in U.S. export controls and related compliance matters; ITAR experience strongly preferred but not required.
Proven proficiency building, implementing, and owning an export compliance program.
Strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and a high level of organization and attention to detail in regulatory scenarios.
Excellent communication skills and comfortable advising senior leaders.
Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, high growth environment.
Experience with Global Trade Management (GTM) software or ERP-integrated compliance tools preferred.

Kraken Kinetics is seeking a PCB Layout Designer to support the development and release of printed circuit boards for advanced defense products. This role will work closely with electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, firmware engineers, and manufacturing partners to turn circuit designs into manufacturable, testable, and configuration-controlled PCB assemblies.
The PCB Layout Designer will provide additional layout capacity and help mature Kraken’s ECAD practices, including library management, layout standards, release documentation, and design-for-manufacturing feedback. Kraken Kinetics is seeking Legal Counsel, Subcontracts and Supply Chain to own subcontracting, ensuring the terms of our government contracts and subcontracts, ensuring required FAR/DFARS flow-down terms and sound commercial terms are properly incorporated into our supplier and manufacturer agreements. As Kraken rapidly scales, this role will partner closely with Supply Chain and Program Management to ensure contractual obligations, flowdowns, and risk allocation carry through consistently to our suppliers. You'll be drafting and negotiating our subcontracts and supplier agreements day to day, as well as building the templates and playbooks that let Supply Chain and the subcontracting team handle routine agreements themselves.
Key Responsibilities
Draft, review, negotiate, and administer a high volume of supplier and vendor-facing agreements — subcontracts, statements of work, purchase orders (POs), master supply/services agreements, teaming agreements, and amendments — with speed, precision, and a bias toward closing.
Review prime contracts, customer POs, OTAs, and program agreements to identify obligations that must flow down, and map and maintain FAR/DFARS/OTA flowdown requirements across the supply base.
Negotiate scope, pricing, IP and data rights, indemnities, liability, insurance, and termination terms that appropriately allocate legal and commercial risk.
Partner directly with Supply Chain, Program Management, Engineering, Finance, and Business Development to avoid deal delays and support timely program execution.
Partner with the Export Compliance Officer on ITAR/EAR, sanctions, customs, and sourcing restrictions (e.g., domestic preference, counterfeit parts, specialty metals) as applied to subcontracts.
Develop and maintain supplier-facing representations and certifications in coordination with Legal, Supply Chain, and Finance.
Build and continuously improve playbooks, templates, clause libraries, and self-service tools so business partners can handle routine contracting independently.
Support supplier disputes, performance issues, claims, and corrective actions.
Brief the Head of Legal and company leadership on material risks, negotiation positions, and issues requiring executive decision-making.
Establish, refine, and scale subcontracting legal processes and standard operating procedures as Kraken grows.
REQUIREMENTS
JD from an accredited law school and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience with a strong transactional focus on subcontracts, procurement, supply chain, commercial contracts, or government contracts.
Direct, hands-on experience analyzing and implementing FAR/DFARS flowdowns, representations and certifications, and other government-contracting compliance requirements.
Demonstrated ability to manage a high volume of agreements, prioritize competing demands, and drive transactions to timely closure.
Experience working with or supporting a defense manufacturer, government contractor, aerospace company, prime contractor, or Tier 1/Tier 2 subcontractor.
Sound judgment and the ability to provide concise, actionable recommendations to stakeholders and company leadership.
Ability to operate independently, take ownership of matters, and demonstrate initiative in a fast-moving, ambiguous, growth-stage environment.

Position Summary

Roles & Responsibilities
Develop, capture, decompose, allocate, and maintain system-level requirements derived from customer needs, operational use cases, internal product objectives, statements of work, applicable standards, and engineering constraints.

Identify requirement gaps, conflicts, assumptions, dependencies, and technical risks early and work with stakeholders to drive resolution.
Coordinate with test and verification personnel to define verification methods, acceptance criteria, test coverage, and traceability between requirements and objective evidence.
Support design reviews, test readiness reviews, production readiness reviews, failure investigations, and other technical reviews.
Support development of compliance matrices, verification evidence, customer-facing technical documentation, and other controlled engineering artifacts.
Help maintain alignment between requirements, system architecture, detailed engineering development, verification, and configuration-controlled product baselines.
Provide technical mentorship to less-experienced systems engineering personnel, including guidance on requirements development, traceability, interface definition, verification planning, and system-level problem solving.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, or another relevant technical discipline.
5+ years of relevant engineering experience, including meaningful hands-on experience performing systems engineering activities on complex products or systems.
Demonstrated experience developing, decomposing, allocating, and managing technical requirements.
Working knowledge of requirements traceability, interface management, verification planning, technical baselines, and engineering review processes.
Experience working across multiple engineering disciplines, including some combination of mechanical, electrical, firmware/software, test, manufacturing, and program functions.
Experience applying systems engineering practices in a defense, aerospace, high-reliability, safety-critical, or similarly structured engineering environment.
Ability to translate ambiguous customer, operational, or technical needs into clear engineering requirements and actionable technical work.
Strong technical communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with engineers, program personnel, leadership, customers, and external technical stakeholders.
Ability to independently execute systems engineering work while also coordinating effectively across a multidisciplinary engineering team.

Position Summary
Kraken Kinetics is seeking a hands-on Test & Verification Engineer II/III to help develop and mature the testing and verification capabilities needed to support product development, design verification, qualification, production acceptance, and continuous product improvement.
This is not a narrowly scoped test execution or data-analysis role. We are looking for an engineer who can take ownership of the broader testing problem: understanding what needs to be proven, determining whether requirements are practically testable, developing the test approach, selecting and configuring equipment, instrumenting the device under test, collecting and analyzing data, troubleshooting failures, documenting the work, and helping turn successful approaches into repeatable test methods.
The Test & Verification Engineer will work closely with systems, mechanical, electrical, firmware, manufacturing, and program teams throughout the product-development lifecycle. Early in development, this engineer will participate in requirements and design reviews and provide practical input on testability and verification feasibility. As designs mature, the engineer will help develop test plans, procedures, fixtures, instrumentation, automation, data-analysis methods, and verification documentation.
Kraken’s test infrastructure and processes are still developing, but this role will not operate in isolation. To date, engineers across the organization have collectively supported many of Kraken’s testing and verification needs and will continue to provide specialized technical expertise and design knowledge. The Test & Verification Engineer will help bring greater focus, ownership, consistency, and repeatability to that work.
We do not expect one engineer to fill every gap or be an expert in every test discipline. We do expect this person to identify important gaps, take ownership of the problems they can solve, bring in the right expertise when needed, and steadily improve Kraken’s overall verification capability.
As Kraken grows, we expect the Test & Verification function to expand into a broader multidisciplinary team with deeper specialization in areas such as electronics and embedded systems testing, environmental and mechanical qualification, shock and vibration, weatherproofing and ingress protection, automated test systems, and production acceptance testing. This position offers the opportunity to make an immediate individual contribution while helping establish the foundation for that future team.
Roles & Responsibilities
Participate in requirements and design reviews to evaluate whether requirements are objective, measurable, and practically verifiable.
Work with systems and design engineers to translate requirements into appropriate verification methods, test approaches, and acceptance criteria.
Develop, refine, and execute test plans and procedures for development, design verification, qualification, regression, and production acceptance testing.
Design, build, configure, and integrate test setups, fixtures, instrumentation systems, data-acquisition systems, and supporting test hardware.
Bring new laboratory and test equipment online, including setup, configuration, software integration, validation, and documentation.
Instrument devices under test and select appropriate sensors, test equipment, sampling methods, and measurement techniques.
Develop scripts, tools, and automated test methods for instrument control, data acquisition, analysis, visualization, and reporting where appropriate.
Personally execute electrical, mechanical, firmware, environmental, subsystem, and integrated system-level testing.
Collect, analyze, interpret, and clearly document test data, results, anomalies, and conclusions.
Troubleshoot unexpected behavior and test failures in collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams.
Support root-cause investigations by developing diagnostic tests and experiments that help isolate failure mechanisms and verify corrective actions.
Distinguish between product failures, test-system issues, instrumentation limitations, fixture problems, software issues, and procedural errors.
Develop clear test reports, verification records, and supporting documentation that capture test configuration, procedure, results, and conclusions.
Improve test repeatability, data quality, procedural clarity, fixture usability, automation, and configuration control.
Support the transition of engineering test methods into repeatable production acceptance and manufacturing test processes.
Advocate for product testability, including appropriate access to signals, diagnostics, test points, interfaces, and fixture provisions.
Help establish practical standards for test planning, test readiness, documentation, data retention, verification traceability, and test infrastructure.
Support testing at external laboratories, supplier facilities, customer locations, field sites, or ranges as required.
Identify future test-equipment, tooling, facility, and personnel needs as Kraken’s products and verification requirements continue to expand.
Required Qualifications

POSITION SUMMARY
Location: On-site at our Pinehurst area facilities
The Inventory Associate is a hands-on operational role responsible for building and continuously improving our inventory tracking systems, managing outbound shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring materials move efficiently throughout the facility. This position plays a critical role in supporting Kraken Kinetics’ manufacturing and program execution by ensuring production materials and customer shipments are properly documented, organized, and transferred to the appropriate internal teams.
The role works closely with cross-functional team members, production staff, program managers, and supply chain personnel to collaboratively design, implement, and maintain smooth material flow from fabrication to final shipment. This position reports to the Warehouse and Logistics Manager and helps ensure that customer shipments and internal shipment of materials and components required for fabrication, testing, and program delivery are handled efficiently and documented accurately.
This is a hands-on operational role, and candidates should be comfortable working in a warehouse or production environment and performing physical shipping and material handling tasks on a daily basis. We are looking for someone who takes pride in building organized, efficient operations and maintaining good communication and accurate material flow in support of critical manufacturing work.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
System Development & Continuous Improvement
Build, structure, and optimize inventory tracking systems to enhance warehouse organization and material flow.
Collaborate closely with team members across production and supply chain to design and implement inventory architecture.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives for existing inventory systems to eliminate inefficiencies and adapt to scaling manufacturing needs.
Establish standardized processes and documentation protocols for how inventory data is captured and updated.
Inventory & Material Tracking
Maintain accurate inventory records using Fishbowl/NetSuite inventory management software to move inventory between locations and confirm outbound shipments.
Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts and periodic inventory checks.
Maintain shipment logs and tracking information for internal reference.
Assist with movement of finished goods from production areas to shipping preparation areas.
Ensure proper labeling and identification of materials within staging areas.
Support receiving responsibilities when needed.
Shipping & Outbound Logistics
Package and prepare outbound shipments across three local Kraken Kinetics locations including packaging, labeling, documentation, and carrier coordination.
Ensure products and materials are packaged appropriately to prevent damage during transport.
Generate and maintain shipment documentation including packing slips, shipment logs, and tracking records.
Inform internal customers (sales, customer service, etc) of shipment delays or issues due to carrier delays.
Coordinate shipment pickups with commercial carriers and customer’s carriers (e.g., UPS, FedEx, customer required freight providers).
Verify shipment contents against internal documentation prior to release.
Operational Support & Facility Coordination
Maintain shipping work areas in a clean and organized condition.
Assist production staff with packaging and staging requirements when needed.
Identify and report shipment discrepancies or damaged goods.
Follow all company safety procedures and proper material handling practices.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
2+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, logistics, or inventory management.
Proven experience participating in the creation, setup, or continuous improvement of inventory tracking systems.
Experience with inventory management systems or warehouse tracking software (Fishbowl experience preferred).
Basic proficiency with spreadsheets and standard office software.
Strong collaborative communication skills and the ability to coordinate system designs and operational logic with production staff and program managers.
Ability to maintain accurate documentation and tracking of materials and shipments.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.

Key Responsibilities
Shipping & Outbound Logistics
Package and prepare outbound shipments across three local Kraken Kinetics locations including packaging, labeling, documentation, and carrier coordination.
Ensure products and materials are packaged appropriately to prevent damage during transport.
Generate and maintain shipment documentation including packing slips, shipment logs, and tracking records.
Inform internal customers (sales, customer service, etc) of shipment delays or issues due to carrier delays.
Coordinate shipment pickups with commercial carriers and customer’s carriers (e.g., UPS, FedEx, customer required freight providers).
Verify shipment contents against internal documentation prior to release.
Maintain accurate inventory records using Fishbowl/NetSuite inventory management software to move inventory between locations and confirm outbound shipments.
Maintain shipment logs and tracking information for internal reference.
Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts and periodic inventory checks.
Assist with movement of finished goods from production areas to shipping preparation areas.
Ensure proper labeling and identification of materials within staging areas.
Support receiving responsibilities when needed.
Maintain shipping work areas in a clean and organized condition.
Assist production staff with packaging and staging requirements when needed.
Identify and report shipment discrepancies or damaged goods.
Follow all company safety procedures and proper material handling practices.
Driving a company vehicle will be necessary for inventory management across the three local facilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
2+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, logistics, or inventory management.
Experience with inventory management systems or warehouse tracking software (Fishbowl experience preferred).
Basic proficiency with spreadsheets and standard office software.
Ability to maintain accurate documentation and tracking of materials and shipments.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with production staff and program managers.
Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.

POSITION SUMMARY
Kraken Kinetics is seeking an Engineering Configuration Management Specialist to coordinate and administer the release, control, and maintenance of engineering documentation throughout product development, production, and sustainment.

Key Responsibilities
Coordinate the preparation, review, approval, formal release, and archival of engineering documentation, including drawings, BOMs, firmware releases, specifications, test procedures, and related technical records.
Help establish, standardize, and improve engineering release, document control, and configuration management practices as the organization grows.
Assemble and administer engineering release packages, verifying completeness of documentation, revision consistency, and required approvals before formal release.
Administer engineering change request (ECR) and engineering change order (ECO) workflows, including change documentation, review coordination, approval routing, and formal closure.
Work with responsible engineers to ensure affected technical documentation is appropriately updated and released following approved engineering changes.
Maintain accurate, traceable product configurations, including relationships between part numbers, revisions, BOMs, firmware versions, and supporting documentation.
Track provisional or limited production releases, coordinating outstanding documentation requirements and closure activities with responsible stakeholders.
Maintain controlled engineering records and administer release and change management activities within Arena PLM.
Coordinate the communication and handoff of released engineering information to Operations, Production, Supply Chain, and other downstream stakeholders.
Identify documentation gaps, configuration discrepancies, incomplete change records, and process breakdowns, coordinating resolution or escalation as appropriate.
Support technical review, change review, and engineering approval processes.
Collaborate with Engineering and Operations to improve the accuracy and flow of engineering information into downstream business systems, including NetSuite ERP.
Coach engineers and operations associates on how the various procedures work and advise them as to which procedures are applicable to the current task.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
Experience in engineering document control, configuration management, product data management, manufacturing documentation, or a related technical support role.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously.
Familiarity with revision-controlled documentation, engineering change processes, or structured technical document workflows.
Ability to read and navigate engineering drawings, BOMs, specifications, and other technical documentation.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to coordinate effectively across engineering, manufacturing, and other functional teams.
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, Word, SharePoint, and Teams.

Key Responsibilities
Own the architecture, governance, and continuous development of the Strategic Partnerships Department's customer relationship management (CRM) environment

Establish CRM standards, data-entry requirements, and operating procedures that ensure accurate, consistent, and actionable information across the department

Maintain data integrity and drive consistent CRM adoption across the Strategic Partnerships team

QUALIFICATIONS
Required
Bachelor's degree in business, operations, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

Demonstrated ability to design, implement, or improve organizational processes and workflows
Experience working with CRM platforms, databases, or comparable business information systems
Strong analytical skills with the ability to organize complex information into clear, actionable outputs

POSITION SUMMARY
Location: On-site at our West End, NC area facility
Kraken Kinetics is seeking an experienced NetSuite ERP Business Systems Analyst who will partner with our NetSuite Administrator and share responsibility for the system's success: implementation, ongoing maintenance, and continuous enhancement, including warehouse management (WMS) and transportation management (TMS).
You will work with finance, supply chain, production, and shipping teams to turn business needs into working processes, test and roll out changes, build reporting, train users, and keep the system running well as the company grows. This is an execution role, not a requirements-only role.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with the NetSuite Administrator to configure and implement NetSuite across quote-to-cash, purchasing, inventory, work orders, assembly builds, fulfillment, and financials.
Translate requirements from finance, supply chain, production, and shipping into documented processes and system configuration.
Plan and run user acceptance testing, data validation, cutover, and post-launch support for new modules and changes.
Support the Administrator on master data (items, assemblies, bills of materials) under the existing ownership rules.
Provide ongoing user support: triage issues, find root causes, and escalate configuration changes to the Administrator.
Monitor data quality across transactions and inventory, and correct the underlying process, not just the record.
Build and maintain saved searches, reports, and dashboards for finance, supply chain, and production, including reporting that supports audited financials.
Support month-end close and inventory valuation by reconciling system data with the Controller and Staff Accountant.
Maintain user guides and SOPs; train new and existing users.
Identify and prioritize enhancements with process owners; design, test, and release them with the Administrator.
Lead the business side of NetSuite-integrated warehouse management (WMS) and transportation management (TMS), including barcode scanning, bin locations, and lot and serial tracking.
Review NetSuite releases and new features for impact and opportunity, and test them before they reach users.
Track issues, enhancement requests, risks, and schedules, and report status to the project sponsor.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
3+ years hands-on NetSuite experience in a manufacturing or distribution company, including inventory, assemblies, work orders, and fulfillment.
Experience on at least one full NetSuite implementation through design, testing, cutover, and post-launch support.
Ability to build NetSuite saved searches, reports, and dashboards without developer support.
Working knowledge of inventory accounting and how operational transactions flow to the general ledger.
Clear process documentation and user training skills.
Ability to meet export-control requirements for access to ITAR-controlled technical data (final wording from Legal).
Preferred
Hands-on implementation of a NetSuite-integrated WMS, TMS, or barcode scanning solution.
RF SMART Warehouse Management System
Experience setting up lot and serial tracking and bin management.
Defense, aerospace, or other regulated manufacturing experience.
NetSuite certification (for example, Administrator or ERP Consultant). Verify current certification names with Oracle NetSuite before posting.

Position Summary
We are seeking an IT Manager to lead Kraken Kinetics' IT function: setting the policies, procedures, priorities, and plans that our IT team works from, and making sure IT supports where the business is headed.
Kraken is a rapidly growing defense manufacturer working in a Microsoft 365 GCC High environment. We're looking for an experienced technical professional to lay the groundwork and help shape the documented IT policies, standards, and clear decision-making structure that enable our company to operate efficiently in a compliant environment. You will design the IT operating model, own the IT roadmap and budget, and lead a team of two: a Systems Administrator who owns infrastructure and systems, and an IT Support Specialist who owns Tier 1–2 support.
This is a leadership and governance role, not a hands-on administration role. Day-to-day infrastructure work sits with the Systems Administrator, front-line support sits with the IT Support Specialist, and cybersecurity strategy and CMMC/NIST compliance sit with the Cybersecurity & Compliance Manager and Analyst. The IT Manager makes sure all of that work is prioritized, documented, and moving in one direction.
Key Responsibilities
IT Governance, Policies & Procedures
Develop, document, and maintain Kraken's foundational IT policies, including acceptable use, access control, account provisioning and deprovisioning, password and MFA standards, device management, data backup and retention, change management, incident response, and other security-related policies in coordination with the Cybersecurity & Compliance Manager.
Own the library of IT standard operating procedures (SOPs), assigning the Systems Administrator and IT Support Specialist to draft procedures for their areas and approving the final versions.
Define the IT service model: support tiers, escalation paths, ticket priorities, and service level targets.
Establish an approval process for IT purchases, new software, system changes, and policy exceptions.
Review and update policies at least annually, or as the business, contracts, or regulatory requirements change.
IT Strategy & Planning
Build and maintain a multi-year IT roadmap aligned with company growth, contract requirements, and leadership priorities.
Approve infrastructure standards and major architecture decisions proposed by the Systems Administrator, including the design and rollout of the on-premises server environment.
Lead IT planning for enterprise systems (ERP, MRP, IMS) with business stakeholders, from selection through integration.
Act as IT's point of contact for company leadership and department heads, translating business needs into IT projects and priorities.
Team Leadership
Supervise, mentor, and evaluate the Systems Administrator and IT Support Specialist.
Set team priorities and manage the IT project and request backlog so that above-tier work does not land on the help desk.
Resolve priority conflicts, cross-department requests, and non-technical escalations so the team can stay focused on technical work.

Work with the Cybersecurity & Compliance Manager and Analyst to make sure IT policies, procedures, and projects support Kraken's security requirements.
Coordinate IT's part in readiness for future handling of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), including NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC, as directed by compliance leadership.
Make sure the IT team produces the documentation and evidence needed for audits and assessments.
Vendor, Budget & Contract Management
Develop and manage the annual IT budget, including hardware refresh cycles, software licensing, and infrastructure projects.
Own relationships and contracts with IT vendors, internet and telecom providers, and software publishers, and coordinate with the MSCP alongside the Cybersecurity & Compliance Manager.
Oversee license, contract, and renewal tracking, using the asset registry maintained by the Systems Administrator.
Evaluate and recommend technology that supports Kraken's business goals.
Requirements
7+ years of progressive IT experience, including at least 2 years leading an IT team or serving as the lead IT resource for an organization.
Demonstrated experience writing and implementing IT policies, standards, and procedures, ideally in an organization that had little or none in place.
Experience supervising and developing technical staff.
Experience building and managing IT budgets, vendors, and contracts.
Broad technical background across Microsoft 365, Entra ID (Azure AD), Intune, Windows Server, and networking, sufficient to direct and evaluate the work of a Systems Administrator.
Experience planning and managing IT projects from start to finish.
Strong written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical topics to leadership and non-technical employees.
U.S. citizenship may be required to access certain systems and data.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Microsoft 365 GCC or GCC High.
Prior experience in a defense, aerospace, or defense industrial base (DIB) environment.
Familiarity with NIST SP 800-171, CMMC, or ITAR requirements and how they translate into IT policy.
Experience leading an ERP, MRP, or IMS selection or implementation.
Certifications such as ITIL Foundation, PMP, CompTIA Security+, or Microsoft 365 Administrator Expert.
Experience building an IT function at a small or growing company.
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
