About the Role
As an Infrastructure Engineer at Mercor, you’ll build and scale the systems that power our rapid growth. You’ll ensure our infrastructure is highly available, cost-effective, and able to handle explosive traffic and compute demands. You’ll work closely with engineers across product, research, and operations to design scalable architectures, streamline deployments, and improve observability.

What You’ll Work On
Designing and maintaining core infrastructure across cloud environments.

About the Role
As a Software Engineer at Mercor, you’ll join a small, product-driven engineering team building modern backend systems that power critical workflows for some of the most advanced AI companies in the world. You’ll own projects end-to-end, designing, building, and shipping production systems that directly impact customers. In your first year you’ll ship analyses and experiments that move core product metrics, match quality, time-to-hire, candidate experience, and revenue. You’ll:
Define north-star and feature-level metrics for our ranking, interview analytics, and payouts systems.
Design/run A/B tests and quasi-experiments; turn results into product decisions the same week.
Build source-of-truth dashboards and lightweight data models so teams can self-serve answers.
Instrument events with engineers; improve data quality and latency from ingestion to insight.
Prototype quick models (from baselines to gradient boosting) to improve matching and scoring.
Help evaluate LLM-powered agents: design rubrics, human-in-the-loop studies, and guardrail canaries.
You have solid fundamentals (statistics, SQL, Python) and projects you’re proud to demo. Own agentic features end-to-end — from scoping with researchers/ops partners through implementation, launch, and iteration on real customer feedback.
Design and ship LLM agents, harnesses, and verifiers — including the tools, prompts, and policies that make them reliable.
Build the Python/FastAPI services and Temporal/Modal pipelines that orchestrate agent runs, human-in-the-loop review and iterations.
Build state of the art RL environments that expand the capabilities of frontier agents, with realistic enterprise apps, simulated coworkers, and rich company data rooms that support tasks spanning hours to days.
Build tooling that turns agent trajectories into insight, from statistical analysis to automated failure mode detection.
Build and refine the full-stack surfaces and data infrastructure — craft Next.js/React interfaces where operators and experts work with agents, evolve data models to give agents the structured context and audit trails they need.
Define agent quality and drive continuous improvement — build evals, instrument traces, analyze failure modes, and iterate on prompts, tools, and guardrails while raising the bar for reliability, cost, latency, and UX.

About the Role
We’re looking for someone who wants to bring a full-stack perspective to data. As a Software Engineer supporting our Data function, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining pipelines that enable our Data Science, Engineering, and Product teams, and the wider Mercor organization.
Your focus will be on data reliability, availability, and timeliness, with a focus on collaboration (and significant operational crossover with) our Data Science team and the many partner functions.
What You’ll Work On
Building robust pipelines to ingest, transform, and consolidate data from diverse sources (e.g., MongoDB, Airtable, PostHog, production databases).
Designing dbt models and transformations to standardize and unify many disparate tables into clean, production-ready schemas.
Implementing scalable, fault-tolerant data workflows with Fivetran, dbt, SQL, and Python.
Partnering with engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to ensure data availability, accuracy, and usability.
Owning data quality and reliability across the stack, from ingestion through to consumption.
Continuously improving pipeline performance, monitoring, and scalability.
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in data engineering, with strong knowledge of SQL, Python, and modern data stack tools (Fivetran, dbt, Snowflake or similar).
Experience building and maintaining large-scale ETL/ELT pipelines across heterogeneous sources (databases, analytics platforms, SaaS tools).
Strong understanding of data modeling, schema design, and transformation best practices.
Familiarity with data governance, monitoring, and quality assurance.
Comfort working cross-functionally with engineering, product, and operations teams.

As a Frontend Engineer at Mercor, you’ll join a small, product-driven engineering team designing and building the user-facing systems that define how customers interact with our core AI infrastructure. About the role
We're hiring an IT Operations Lead to own the reliability, security, and scalability of our identity, endpoint, and IT infrastructure systems. You'll partner directly with the Head of IT to transform reactive support into strategic, automated systems that prevent problems before they occur — balancing speed, security, and an exceptional user experience for technical teams building the future of AI.

About the Role
As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) at Mercor, you’ll own production reliability across our most critical systems, partnering directly with infrastructure leadership. You’ll play a foundational role in building our SRE function from the ground up and shaping how Mercor operates large-scale, high-availability systems.
What You’ll Do
Own reliability and production safety for core shared services and customer-facing systems.
Partner directly with infrastructure leadership to define SRE priorities, reliability standards, and production safety roadmap.
Repair and improve how our production systems are structured so they are stable, resource-efficient, isolated, and well-observed.
Introduce and champion modern SRE practices (e.g., incident response, postmortems, SLIs/SLOs) across engineering teams.
Collaborate with leverage engineering and applied AI teams to ensure sustainable growth.
Represent SRE best practices internally and help teams onboard onto production in a way that is safe, scalable, and consistent with SRE principles.
What We’re Looking For
Experience doing true SRE work (not just operations) across multiple roles or companies.
Deep familiarity with SRE practices as popularized by Google (e.g., error budgets, reliability vs. risk trade-offs, large-scale distributed systems).
5+ years of SRE experience; 15+ years of overall experience is ideal for this first SRE hire.
Proven success operating systems at scale, with a strong understanding of the challenges of large, distributed production environments.
Strong collaboration skills; able to work efficiently with cross-functional engineering teams.
Ability to drive cultural change around reliability while remaining hands-on in building and fixing systems.
Comfort working in high-intensity, high-availability environments where uptime and production quality are critical.

As a Research Engineer at Mercor, you’ll work at the intersection of engineering and applied AI research. You’ll contribute directly to post-training and RLVR, synthetic data generation, and large-scale evaluation workflows that meaningfully impact frontier language models.
Your work will be used to train large language models to master tool use, agentic behavior, and real-world reasoning in real-world production environments. You’ll shape rewards, run post-training experiments, and build scalable systems that improve model performance. You’ll help design and evaluate datasets, create scalable data augmentation pipelines, and build rubrics and evaluators that push the boundaries of what LLMs can learn.

About the Role
As a Software Engineer on the Automations team at Mercor, you’ll join a small, high-leverage engineering group building the autonomous systems that run Mercor’s internal operations — and eventually, operations at scale for the companies we serve.
This is not a research role. You’ll design and ship production agents that take real actions: scheduling interventions, executing operational playbooks, managing talent pipelines, and surfacing decisions that previously required hours of manual click-ops. From day one, you’ll own systems end-to-end — from MCP server design to evaluation frameworks — working directly with operators and platform engineers to turn repeatable human workflows into reliable, autonomous ones.
You’ll reason about correctness, rollback, observability, and trust in systems that touch payments, contracts, and people’s livelihoods. This is greenfield agentic infrastructure with immediate real-world impact.

Build and maintain MCP servers that give agents structured access to Mercor’s platform reading project state, taking management actions, and triggering communications.
Design and implement evaluation frameworks to measure agent decision quality and drive continuous improvement through feedback loops.
Develop action queues and playbook orchestration systems that allow agents to execute multi-step workflows with conditional logic.
Instrument agent systems end-to-end — capturing outcomes, closing feedback loops, and enabling hill-climbing on eval metrics.
Collaborate directly with operators to identify high-leverage automation opportunities and translate them into robust agent behaviors.
Debug and harden agent systems in production, designing for reliability at scale.

As a Research Engineer at Mercor, you’ll work at the intersection of engineering and applied AI research. You’ll own benchmarking pipelines, evaluation systems, and failure analysis workflows that directly inform how we train and improve frontier language models.
Your work will define how we measure tool use, agentic behavior, and real-world reasoning. You’ll design and run evals, build rubrics and scorers, and turn failure analysis into actionable improvements for post-training, RLVR, and data pipelines.
Benchmarking: Design, implement, and maintain benchmarks and metrics for tool use, agentic behavior, and real-world reasoning; ensure benchmarks scale with training and stay aligned with product and research goals.
Evaluation systems: Build and operate LLM evaluation systems end-to-end runs, scoring, dashboards, and reporting, so researchers and applied AI teams can track model performance and compare runs at scale.
Failure analysis: Run systematic failure analysis on model outputs (e.g., wrong tool use, reasoning errors, safety/alignment issues); categorize failure modes, quantify prevalence, and feed findings into reward design, data curation, and benchmark design.
Rubrics and evaluators: Create and refine rubrics, automated evaluators, and scoring frameworks that drive training and evaluation decisions; balance rigor with scalability (human vs. model-as-judge, calibration, agreement).
Data quality and usability: Quantify data usability, quality, and impact on key benchmarks; use evals and failure analysis to guide data generation, augmentation, and curation.
Cross-team collaboration: Work with AI researchers, applied AI teams, and data producers to align evals with training objectives and to prioritize benchmarks and failure analyses that matter most.
Ownership in a fast-paced environment: Operate in a high-iteration research setting with strong ownership of benchmarks, evals, and failure-analysis workflows.
Strong applied research background, with focus on model evaluation, benchmarking, and/or failure analysis.
Strong coding skills and hands-on experience with ML models and evaluation code.
Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms, and backend systems.
Comfort with APIs, SQL/NoSQL, and cloud platforms for running and storing eval results.
Ability to reason about model behavior, experimental results, and data quality from evals and failure analyses.
Excitement to work in person in San Francisco five days a week in a high-intensity, high-ownership environment.
Industry experience on a post-training or evaluation/benchmarking team (highest priority).
Publications at top-tier venues (NeurIPS, ICML, ACL), especially in evaluation or benchmarking.
Experience building or running LLM evaluations, benchmarks, or failure-analysis pipelines.
Experience with synthetic data generation, rubric design, or RL-style workflows that use evals for reward shaping.
Work samples or code (e.g., eval frameworks, benchmark suites, failure-analysis reports or tooling) that demonstrate relevant skills.

You’ll be a core member of Mercor’s Recruiting Operations team, supporting hiring across multiple functions. This role is focused on high-quality coordination, ATS (Ashby) management, and ensuring a seamless candidate experience at scale.

This role exists to help build the financial backbone that supports the next 1000x. We are looking for a senior engineer to help harden and scale Mercor’s payments platform.
You will work on:
Flow-level observability across payout → settlement → reconciliation
Reliability engineering for distributed payment systems
Instrumentation and monitoring of financial primitives (ledger, payout orchestration, settlement ingestion)
Automation to eliminate manual treasury and payout workflows
Root-cause driven system redesign
This role requires someone who understands that payments infrastructure is both a technical and financial system, where correctness matters as much as uptime.

Experience & Domain Expertise: 5+ years in building scalable backend systems, with a strong preference for experience in high-stakes domains such as payments, fintech, billing, or financial infrastructure.

About the role
As Healthcare Data Partnerships Lead, you'll build and own Mercor's data partnerships engine in healthcare from the ground up. An integral part of our strategy is partnering with health systems, payers, EHR vendors, and other organizations that hold large, high-quality healthcare datasets to access new kinds of data at scale.
You'll identify, reach out to, and close partnerships with a wide range of organizations, then manage those relationships long-term. You'll create the playbooks, build the pipeline, and define how we measure success. This is a high-ownership role for someone who has done healthcare data partnerships before.
What you'll do
Identify and prioritize potential data partners: health systems, payers, EHR vendors, life sciences companies, and other organizations with large, structured healthcare datasets
Own the full partnership cycle, outbound prospecting, pitch development, deal negotiation, and close
Structure and negotiate data licensing and data sharing agreements, including pricing, access terms, compliance requirements, and usage rights
Build repeatable processes, playbooks, and metrics for the partnerships function from scratch
Manage ongoing partner relationships to expand scope, renew agreements, and maintain trust over time
Work cross-functionally with product, engineering, and legal to ensure smooth data integration and regulatory compliance (HIPAA, de-identification, FHIR/HL7)
Represent Mercor at digital health conferences and industry forums to build brand and relationships in the HLS ecosystem
Segment the healthcare market across provider, payer, BioPharma, and medical devices — and develop differentiated partnership strategies for each
What we're looking for
3–7 years in partnerships, BD, or enterprise sales with exposure to the healthcare or health tech ecosystem
Track record of sourcing and closing complex healthcare deals, ideally in a role where you built something from scratch or operated with significant autonomy
Existing relationships in the provider, payer, or BioPharma data ecosystem
Familiarity with data licensing, IP deal structures, or de-identification frameworks is a must

About the Role
As a Backend Engineer on the Marketplace team, you will build the core systems that govern how talent and opportunities meet on Mercor. You’ll work on search, matching, allocation, and workflow infrastructure at the heart of the marketplace, where system quality directly affects fill rate, hiring speed, and revenue.

Fraud is one of Mercor's most important business challenges. Every day, we process enormous volumes of applications, assessments, identity verifications, and work activity across a global talent network. Protecting that ecosystem requires sophisticated systems that can identify fraudulent behavior, evaluate risk, and make accurate decisions at scale — and the playbooks for doing it on an AI-native expert marketplace don't yet exist.
Fraud is an adversarial problem. The solutions that work today may not work six months from now. You'll lead engineering efforts focused on:
Fraud detection and platform integrity — identity verification, abuse prevention, risk scoring, and the LLM-powered decision engines and evaluation pipelines that catch fraudulent behavior as attackers adapt
Compliance and operational infrastructure — the reliability, scalability, and core foundations that allow Mercor to operate globally and meet the obligations of working with the world's leading AI organizations
You'll be responsible for building systems that sit at the center of the AI ecosystem and protect the trust that makes expert knowledge usable at scale.
What You'll Do
Lead and grow a high-performing team of engineers responsible for fraud detection, identity verification, abuse prevention, and platform integrity
Define and execute Mercor's fraud and compliance engineering roadmap in partnership with product, operations, and company leadership
Build systems that generate fraud signals, evaluate risk, make automated decisions, and continuously improve through human review and feedback loops
Drive the development of AI-powered detection systems, including LLM-based decision engines, scoring models, and review workflows

Mercor is bringing on our first dedicated Revenue Operations hire to build the foundation of our billing and operational infrastructure. You'll own the end-to-end revenue operations workflow and build scalable, sustainable systems that drive Mercor’s rapid growth. This is a high-impact, foundational role: you won't just be running existing systems, you'll be designing them from scratch. You'll work at the intersection of Finance, Operations, and Engineering, with direct exposure to how our business scales. About the Role
As a Fraud Engineer at Mercor, you'll help build the systems that protect the integrity of our platform at scale. About the Role
As a Machine Learning Engineer on the Marketplace team, you will build the models and decision systems that power Mercor’s hiring engine. This includes search and ranking, candidate-job matching, marketplace recommendations, personalization, and allocation decisions across a rapidly growing talent network.
This is an applied ML role with direct product and revenue impact. You will work on problems shaped by real marketplace constraints: sparse and delayed labels, cold start, noisy feedback, heterogeneous supply and demand, and the need to optimize across speed, quality, and conversion simultaneously.
What You’ll Build
• Ranking and matching systems that determine which candidates and opportunities are surfaced
• Models for recommendation, personalization, and marketplace optimization

• Strong track record of shipping ML systems into production

About the Role
As an Enterprise AI Lead, you will work directly with our VP of Enterprise AI to build and scale Mercor's enterprise business. This is a senior, high-ownership role that sits at the intersection of commercial and operational work, designed for someone who moves fast, communicates well, and has a genuine interest in what AI can do for large organizations.
Responsibilities
Own relationships with enterprise customers from initial engagement through renewal and expansion

We're hiring our first IT Operations Lead to own the reliability, security, and scalability of our identity, endpoint, and IT infrastructure systems. You'll partner directly with the Head of IT to transform reactive support into strategic, automated systems that prevent problems before they occur — balancing speed, security, and an exceptional user experience for technical teams building the future of AI.

Handle day-to-day operations and incident response
Triage and resolve Tier 2/3 tickets with a focus on automation and improving response and resolution times

As a Fullstack Software Engineer on the Applied AI team, you'll own Studio end-to-end: the React frontend used daily by thousands of expert contributors and internal Strategic Project Leads, and the backend services powering data pipelines and delivery of outputs to customers. About the Role
Mercor is bringing on a Business Operations hire to drive high-quality execution across the company. You'll sit at the center of Delivery, Finance, Product, and GTM, owning the connective tissue that turns revenue potential into realized revenue. This is a high-leverage generalist role: you'll identify what's blocking the business, build the operating rhythms to surface it, and program manage the teams that fix it.
You'll work directly with leadership and have visibility into how every part of the business runs. If you like owning outcomes end-to-end, operating in ambiguity, and seeing your work show up directly in the company's growth trajectory, this is the role.
What You'll Do
Unblock Revenue: Partner with delivery teams to identify, prioritize, and manage the blockers standing between us and our revenue potential. Support the blocker process end-to-end — from surfacing issues to driving them to resolution with named owners and dates.
Operationalize Plans: Work with Finance to translate forecasts and growth levers into operational reality. Connect the financial plan to what teams are actually executing against, and flag gaps early.
Drive Product Velocity: Translate delivery blockers into clear, well-scoped product requirements, and program manage product teams to ensure timely delivery. You're accountable for making sure the most commercially important work ships on time.
Run the Operating Cadence: Support the company's business review rhythm — monthly business reviews, weekly execution check-ins, and the dashboards and trackers that keep leadership informed and teams accountable.
Shape Company Strategy: Work on initiatives that help shape and improve Mercor’s market positioning across offerings, product functionality, business lines, and talent
Special Projects: Take on a wide range of high-priority projects across GTM, Finance, and Operations as the business needs. The mandate is broad by design; you'll go wherever the leverage is.
What We're Looking For

About The Role
Mercor’s Head of People Ops will own the operational backbone of our people function. This role combines traditional HR leadership with operational problem solving across a global workforce.
You will design and implement the systems, policies, and processes that allow Mercor to scale rapidly while maintaining a high-performance culture. This includes supporting employees across jurisdictions, building compliant employment structures internationally, and ensuring our team has the support needed to operate effectively in a demanding environment.
This role reports directly to the executive team and will work closely with finance, legal, and operations leadership.
Core Responsibilities
Systems & Infrastructure – manage and optimize Mercor’s HR systems (HRIS, payroll, benefits administration, and internal data infrastructure)
Own the employee lifecycle – onboarding, offboarding, promotions, role changes, and performance review cycles
Policies and procedures – establish reliable and scalable HR processes as the company grows
Reporting & analytics – headcount, retention, attrition, performance, and planning
Compliance – ensure compliance with local employment laws and requirements; partner with legal and finance on international payroll compliance and immigration matters, manage employment documentation, policies and internal compliance processes
Additional Responsibilities
Mercor is scaling quickly, and focused on building and developing a world-class people organization. This role will support Mercor employees across a number of HR topics while we build the HR team.
Benefits administration: oversee benefits programs and implementation with Mercor’s benefits partner
HR business partnership: work with leadership teams on performance management, planning, and organizational design
Employee relations: serve as point of contact for employee relations matters
What We’re Looking For
8 - 10+ years of experience in People Operations, HR, or related operational roles in fast-paced, and hyper-growth technology companies
Experience supporting international workforces (e.g. India)
Exceptional ability to manage ambiguity and instituting structure in a dynamic environment with multiple parallel priorities
Strong understanding of employment compliance and HR operations
Systems-oriented – you enjoy building processes and infrastructure that scale.
Possesses high integrity and discretion when managing sensitive employee data and situations
Strong partner to leadership teams and comfortable operating with significant ownership
Compensation
Base compensation of $180 - 250k
