Pano is searching for a Electrical Design Engineer (Electrical/Computer Eng) to join our Hardware Engineering team. The Pano Station is a sophisticated integration of off-the-shelf hardware modules: components, cameras, radios, power systems, sensors, and enclosure components—assembled into a system that must operate reliably, autonomously, and continuously for long term deployments on remote mountaintops in extreme weather conditions.
This role spans the full hardware development lifecycle. You will own your subsystems end-to-end: evaluating and selecting the right components, integrating them together, validating and stress-testing those integrations, and driving readiness all the way through to production. At Pano, there is no narrow specialization, you will be the technical owner of your hardware from concept to shipping product.
Reporting to the Sr Manager of Hardware Engineering, you will be a key contributor to a small, experienced team and have a direct impact on the reliability and performance of hardware deployed in the field protecting communities from wildfire.
Component Selection & System Integration
Select and evaluate off-the-shelf hardware modules (compute, cameras, radios, power management, sensors) against performance, reliability, environmental, and supply chain requirements
Analyze datasheets to understand component limits and failure modes; design integrations that respect those boundaries across power, thermal, signal, and mechanical interfaces
Bring up integrated assemblies, characterize behavior across operating conditions, and validate against system requirements
Validation, Stress Testing & Reliability
Author and execute test plans for NPI gate reviews (PROTO, EVT, DVT, PVT) covering functional verification, environmental performance, long-term reliability, and certification/compliance (FCC, safety, cellular)
Execute stress and margin tests to find the edges of reliable operation; the Pano Station must operate unattended for 5+ years in harsh outdoor environments
Debug, Triage & Root Cause Analysis
Lead hardware triage from first symptom to verified fix—across engineering builds, production runs, and field deployments

We are looking for a Strategic Accounts Sales Manager / Senior Manager to lead our account growth and expansion organization. In this role, you will focus entirely on maximizing revenue retention and driving deep strategic partnerships within Pano's most valuable existing enterprise accounts. We're looking for a Technical Program Manager to manage schedules and lead field execution of installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting for Pano's camera systems across our Australian sites. What you’ll do

For the Platform Engineer role, we’re looking for somebody who will drive major projects in how we scale, secure, and monitor our systems and services throughout the entire organization. What you’ll do
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable infrastructure
Supporting and optimizing production systems as a Platform Engineer and development workflows as a DevOps Engineer
Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles to automate provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes

What you’ll bring
5+ years of professional experience in a fast-paced SaaS or a similar business environment
3+ years of hands-on experience supporting production systems as a Platform Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) or a DevOps Engineer
3+ years of hands-on experience with cloud services and technologies (GCP, AWS, Azure, etc.)
Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and methodologies (e.g. Terraform, Pulumi, Puppet, etc.)
Proven ability to manage, troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in distributed systems
Ability to communicate effectively within the team and across the organization while sharing insights and updates and collaborating to achieve project goals

The Role
Pano AI is looking for an experienced Hardware Product Manager to own the definition and execution of new hardware products, from concept through production and field deployment. Our proprietary 360-degree, ultra-high-definition cameras operate at high vantage points across millions of acres in demanding outdoor conditions, and advancing that hardware is central to our mission and our growth.
Embedded with our hardware engineering team, you'll serve as the product voice across each development cycle—owning requirements, managing tradeoffs, aligning cross-functional stakeholders, and ensuring every product ships to spec, on time, and ready for field deployment. What you’ll do
Own the product requirements and hardware specifications for Pano's hardware NPI initiatives—starting with our current flagship camera initiative—ensuring requirements are precise, complete, and traceable throughout each development lifecycle
Partner closely with hardware engineering, quality and manufacturing teams to define, prioritize, and refine product requirements based on cost, performance, reliability, and schedule tradeoffs
Lead customer and field discovery sessions to validate requirements, surface pain points from fire agency operators and field technicians, and translate insights into actionable specifications across current and future hardware products
Collaborate with supply chain, operations, and contract manufacturing partners to ensure new products are manufacturable, sourced sustainably, and deployable at scale across diverse environmental conditions
Drive NPI program milestones in partnership with hardware engineering—tracking EVT, DVT, and PVT build cycles, flagging risks early, and coordinating go/no-go decisions with leadership
Define hardware acceptance criteria, test coverage requirements, and field pilot success metrics to validate that each product meets deployment readiness standards
Partner with the software and AI teams to ensure firmware, connectivity, and platform integration requirements are captured, prioritized, and delivered in lockstep with hardware milestones
Manage BOM/launch cost targets, identify cost reduction opportunities, and drive tradeoff decisions in alignment with Pano's commercial and margin objectives
Establish and continuously improve Pano's NPI playbook—the repeatable processes, templates, and stage-gates that govern how new hardware products move from concept to field
Present hardware roadmap status, risks, and decisions clearly to senior leadership, operations, and go-to-market stakeholders
What you’ll bring
Required
8+ years of product management experience with at least 3 years focused on hardware products—cameras, sensors, IoT devices, embedded systems, or ruggedized field-deployed devices
A track record of taking multiple hardware products from concept or early development through mass production, including experience with EVT/DVT/PVT build cycles and manufacturing ramp
Strong technical fluency in hardware development—comfortable reviewing schematics, engaging with electrical and mechanical engineers, reading firmware requirements, and interpreting test data
Experience owning PRDs and hardware specifications in a cross-functional environment, including managing requirements changes and version control across design iterations
Familiarity with BOM cost management, supply chain tradeoffs, and contract manufacturing or ODM/OEM partnerships
Proven ability to operate with autonomy in a fast-paced, resource-constrained startup environment, managing multiple concurrent workstreams and establishing process where none exists
Strong communication and documentation skills—able to write crisp specs and status updates, and to translate technical hardware details for non-technical stakeholders
Comfort presenting to and collaborating with executive leadership in a high-stakes, high-visibility environment
Nice to Have
Experience with outdoor, ruggedized, or field-deployed hardware—particularly cameras, panoramic imaging systems, or remote sensing devices

For the Senior Software Engineer role, we’re looking for somebody who will drive major projects in unlocking new end-to-end capabilities for our users while building scalable, secure, and maintainable production systems. What you’ll bring
5+ years of hands-on experience as a Software Engineer
3+ years of professional experience in a fast-paced SaaS or a similar business environment
Experience with server-side Java software development, with modern frameworks and methodologies, such as Spring
Proficiency with SQL, RDBMS (ideally PostgreSQL), and familiarity with ORMs
Expertise in front-end technologies, including JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS3, HTML5, and third-party SPA frameworks such as React
Ability to visualize a proposed system and be able to build it
Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in complex systems
Ability to communicate effectively within the team and across the organization while sharing insights and updates and collaborating to achieve project goals

Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, such as GCP and AWS
