As a Senior Software Engineer, Full-Stack at Payabli, you’ll own the interfaces that sit between complex financial infrastructure and the humans who use it every day – merchant dashboards, onboarding flow, embeddable components, and white-label experiences consumed by our platform partners and their end users.
You’ll work at the intersection of product, design, and backend engineering to ship a UI that is fast, bulletproof, and genuinely pleasant to use. Trust and precision are paramount in the products we build so balancing great Human Interface Design (HID) principles with robust, secure engineering isn’t a nice-to-have, it is the job.
What You'll Do
Build the product people touch. Design, develop, and maintain the frontend applications and reusable component libraries that power Payabli’s, and its partners, platforms.
Ship embeddable experiences. Build hosted payment forms, white-label components, and drop-in UI that third-party platforms integrated directly with their own products. Your code needs to be lean, flexible and rock-solid as it will be running inside other people’s software.
Bridge frontend and backend. Collaborate closely with other service owning teams to integrate via APIs and real-time data streams, ensuring seamless data flow across the stack & overall platform
Raise the bar. Lead code reviews, champion frontend standards, and drive architectural decisions that keep the codebase healthy as we scale.
Multiply the team. Mentor engineers around you and elevate frontend engineering quality across the organization through pairing, documentation and leading by example.
Own the full lifecycle. Work across requirements, implementation, testing, and deployment. We don’t throw things over the wall here.

What We're Looking For
We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements below. If you meet them, we encourage you to apply – your skills and trajectory matter more than checking every box.
5+ years of professional frontend engineering experience. You've shipped real products to real users.
React, Typescript and .Net, C# You don’t just use React, you understand its rendering model, know when to reach for which patterns, and can reason about performance at the component level.
Strong understanding of CSS and responsive design. You can build pixel-perfect, accessible interfaces without leaning on a framework for everything.
API integration experience. You’ve shipped products that rely upon APIs from multiple services and know to gracefully handle loading states, errors, and edge cases.
State management chops. Experience with Redux, Zustand, or similar frameworks. You have strong opinions on what is the right tool when.
Strong communicator. You enjoy walking your partners (design, PM, other engineers, leadership) through technical trade-offs.
Security awareness. Web security principles (XSS, CSRF, CSP, etc.) and build with them in mind from step on.
Nice to Haves
A degree in Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience – we care more about how you operate and what you can build).
Prior experience in fintech or payments technology. Especially as it relates to good payments UX: checkout flows, merchant onboarding, reconciliation dashboards, or similar financial interfaces.

As the CX Operations Manager at Payabli, you are the systems, data, and infrastructure engine behind our Client Experience organization. You'll build the reporting systems, data pipelines, QA infrastructure, and operational tooling that give leadership visibility into performance and give CX teams the tools and processes to work efficiently.
This role focuses on building and maintaining the operational infrastructure that the CX organization depends on — dashboards, health scoring, QA tooling, automation, and the CX tech stack. You'll surface insights and trends that inform decisions across Partner Success, Client Support, and Technical Support, and ensure CX leadership has the data needed for executive alignment and strategic planning.
Serve as the system administrator and super user of all CX systems and platforms — designing and configuring features that align with department KPIs and improve team productivity, accuracy, and efficiency
Manage the CX tech stack — Lead SaaS evaluations, vendor selection, implement, and maintain the tools that CX teams depend on (CRM, ticketing, knowledge platforms, analytics, QA).
Measure AI tool performance across CX — track impact, identify new use cases, and surface opportunities to expand AI-powered capabilities
Stay informed of technological developments, best-in-class tooling, and new feature launches to inform CX system strategy
Coordinate with Engineering, Product, and company Operations on cross-functional initiatives that impact CX tooling and workflows

Generate data-driven insights for QBRs, executive reviews, and board-level reporting
Analyze ticket trends, escalation patterns, and resolution data to surface product issues, process breakdowns, and resource gaps
Deliver regular performance reporting that supports executive alignment and strategic planning
Enhance and manage the partner health scoring methodology — ensuring scores are accurate, actionable, and consistently maintained across the partner portfolio
Help build predictive churn and expansion models that enable proactive intervention by Partner Success Managers
Monitor partner health indicators across the portfolio and flag at-risk accounts to CX leadership before issues escalate
Build and maintain the data infrastructure required to analyze processing volumes, merchant concentration, approval rates, and revenue trends — ensuring the right data is accessible and structured to surface growth and retention opportunities
Maintain the operational cadence of CX — recurring reports, metric reviews, process documentation, and operational housekeeping
Execute on strategic initiatives directed by CX leadership — from new tool rollouts to process redesigns to cross-functional projects
Coordinate cross-functional initiatives with Operations, Product, and Engineering that require CX operational input or alignment
Build and configure QA scoring rubrics within support tooling, collaborating with CX Training & Knowledge Specialist.
Generate and maintain QA reports that CX team leads use to coach their teams
Track QA trends over time and surface patterns that inform training priorities and process improvements in collaboration with CX Training & Knowledge Specialist.
5-8+ years of experience in CX operations, revenue operations, business operations, or analytics roles, preferably in payments, fintech, or B2B SaaS
Proven track record of building dashboards, reports, and operational infrastructure that drive decision-making
Strong analytical skills — comfortable with data architecture, trend analysis, and translating data into actionable insights
Experience implementing and migrating CX tools and platforms (Preferably Intercom)
Experience as a system administrator or super user of CX or support platforms (CRM, ticketing systems, analytics platforms) (Preferably Intercom)
Proficiency with data and reporting tools — Excel/Sheets at an advanced level, plus experience with BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Metabase, or similar)
Experience designing and optimizing workflows and processes in a fast-paced, scaling environment
Strong communication skills — ability to present data clearly to leadership and translate operational needs across technical and non-technical teams
Self-starter mentality with the ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and build systems from the ground up
Experience with partner or customer health scoring models and predictive analytics

Payabli is looking for a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to set the technical direction for ML at Payabli. A few models are already live and driving real decisions: reducing time-to-clear for risk reviews and scoring transactions and merchants. But that's the starting line, not the destination. We want to build a broad portfolio of models that make payments smarter and easier: automatically choosing the best payment method, reducing disputes and chargebacks, improving authorization rates, forecasting payouts, and more. We need a technical anchor who can both raise the bar on what's live today and stand up many new models from scratch, owning evaluation, monitoring, feature development, retraining, and a clear line from model performance to business impact.
The decisions you make in your first quarter (how we build and ship models here, what \"good\" looks like for ML) will be foundational for years as the function scales. You'll partner closely with product, engineering, and risk operations to find where models create the most leverage across the payments lifecycle and define what \"good\" means for ML at Payabli.
Set the technical direction for Payabli's model portfolio - both maturing what's live (transaction risk, merchant risk) and building new models across the payments lifecycle (payment method optimization, dispute/chargeback reduction, authorization rate improvement, payout forecasting, and beyond)
Establish the ML foundations the team will build on: experimentation workflows, model monitoring, drift detection, performance benchmarking, and incident response
Translate ambiguous payments problems into well-scoped modeling opportunities, and model performance into business terms (loss rates, approval/auth rates, dispute rates, review efficiency)
Raise the technical bar through influence and example: mentor ML engineers and set practices the future team inherits

This Principal Payments Engineer is the founding hire for Payments Core - a dedicated team we're standing up to centralize the parts of the platform that cannot fail: the movement of money itself, from rails to batching/funding to reconciliation to ledgering, across hundreds of partners and hundreds of thousands of paypoints. This work happens today, distributed across the org and coupled to lower-blast-radius concerns. This role owns pulling it into one place, drawing a hard line around it, and holding it to the reliability and correctness standards money movement demands at scale. You'll be the most senior IC on the team and report to the CTO on an interim basis while we build out the org around you.
The test for what belongs in this org is simple: does it stop the movement of funds? If yes, it's core, and it's yours to own. We're looking for a bar-raiser who's operated payments infrastructure at $10s to $100s of billions in GMV and knows what that scale actually breaks - someone who looks around corners, finds trouble before it finds us, and isn't afraid to challenge orthodoxy, including ours, when the evidence says we're wrong. This role rewards an entrepreneurial mindset: comfort with ambiguity, making calls with incomplete information, and taking ownership of outcomes rather than waiting to be told what to build. The choices you make early will be load-bearing for years, and you'll set the technical foundation both for the payments engineers we hire after you and for the engineers already working in these areas today.
What You'll Do
Guarantee correctness at scale. Define how the platform guarantees a payment executes exactly once, even under partial failure, retries, and cross-service races - and make that guarantee a first-class, testable property of the system, not a convention people are trusted to follow.
Set the API contract. Design the internal/external API surface partners and internal teams both build against - versioning, backward compatibility, webhook delivery guarantees - so there's no split between what we use internally and what partners get.
Direct money-movement architecture. Set the direction for multi-rail orchestration (ACH, wire, RTP/FedNow, card networks) across multiple financial institutions, including direct connections to our sponsor banks and networks like Visa Direct, and how the platform routes, retries, and fails over rails and FIs.
Own batching, funding, and reconciliation. These are the functions where a broken promise gets noticed fastest - partners feel it directly when funding is late or reconciliation doesn't match. Bring the same rigor here as anywhere else in the platform: accurate matching against external settlement data, fast exception handling, and no surprises.
Build reliability and observability from day one. Establish the architecture-review and RFC standards, plus the monitoring and alerting, that let us catch trouble before it takes down live payment processing - not after.
Set the bar for the team. Establish the practices, review standards, and technical hiring criteria the payments engineers who join after you will be held to. You're setting the bar, not just clearing it.
What We're Looking For

12+ years building production payments or financial systems, with direct experience operating at $10s to $100s of billions in GMV and a track record of owning architecture and seeing big decisions through to production.
Direct experience designing or operating a double-entry ledger in production - you can speak fluently to derived balances, hot-account partitioning, and schema evolution under load.
Direct experience building idempotent, exactly-once payment flows in real-time, high-throughput systems, and can describe concretely how you held correctness under load - when a retry landed on a different instance than the original request, or when a database write failed after a payment had already been authorized.
Experience designing distributed data architecture and petabyte-scale storage systems, and building high-throughput services that hold sub-50ms latency under real production load.
Deep experience with settlement and reconciliation against real external data - bank files, card network settlement, ACH returns - treating mismatch detection as core system design, not an afterthought.
Experience with multi-rail money movement (ACH, wire, RTP/FedNow, card networks) and multi-FI orchestration, including direct integrations with sponsor banks and networks like Visa Direct rather than only processor intermediaries.

The Senior Solutions Engineer at Payabli is a pivotal role that drives the post-sales integration projects for new Payabli vertical software partners, and integration enhancements for existing partners. Technical Expertise
Have 5+ years of experience Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Solutions Consulting, Product Management, Technical Support, or similar role for a Payments or Fintech company
Proven track record of creating and implementing complex technical solutions for software partners
Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, webhooks, and modern integration patterns
Experience with payment processing concepts including tokenization, PCI compliance, and transaction flows
Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, JavaScript, Ruby, or similar)

About the Role
As a Senior Software Engineer, Platform at Payabli, you'll own the infrastructure and developer experience that every engineer at the company builds on top of. You won't be handed a task list—you'll define the vision for how we build, test, deploy, and operate our platform on AWS, then execute against it. From CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code to local development and Cloud/Agent development environments, you'll be the person who makes every other engineer faster, safer, and more productive.
This is a high-ownership role. We're looking for someone who sees a gap, builds a plan, and drives it forward—not someone who waits to be told what's next.
Own the infrastructure. Design, build, and operate Payabli's cloud infrastructure. You'll make the architectural decisions around networking, compute, storage, and security that determine how our platform scales, performs, and stays resilient as transaction volume grows.
Build the deployment backbone. Own and evolve our CI/CD pipelines end-to-end. Every push to production should be fast, safe, and repeatable. You'll design the release process that lets engineers ship with confidence—automated testing, staged rollouts, rollback strategies, and deployment observability baked in.
Make local development exceptional. Engineers should be able to clone a repo and be productive in minutes, not days. You'll own the local development experience and make sure it mirrors production closely enough to catch real problems early.
Enable AI-assisted development. As the team adopts AI coding agents and assistants, you'll build the environments that let engineers leverage these tools safely and effectively within a PCI-compliant infrastructure.
Define and drive the platform roadmap. Assess where we are, define where we need to be, and build the plan to get there. You'll partner with engineering leadership to prioritize infrastructure investments and communicate the \"why\" behind them.
Harden everything. Infrastructure in payments means PCI-DSS scoping, network segmentation, secrets management, access controls, and audit trails are your daily work. You'll ensure our infrastructure posture keeps pace with compliance requirements as we scale.
Instrument and observe. Build the monitoring, alerting, and observability stack that gives the team real-time visibility into system health. When something goes wrong at 2 AM, the infrastructure should tell us what happened before we have to ask.
Multiply the team. Document patterns, write runbooks, and establish infrastructure standards that make the entire engineering organization more self-sufficient. The best platform engineering is invisible—things just work.

Familiarity with the .NET ecosystem and how it runs on AWS (ECS, App Runner, Lambda, etc.).
Experience building developer platforms or internal tooling that improved developer velocity in a measurable way.
Background with observability stacks (Datadog, Grafana, CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry) and on-call/incident response processes.

We're hiring an Engineering Lead, PayIn - the team that owns how money comes into Payabli. PayIn powers everything our partners use to accept payments from their customers: payment APIs, recurring billing and autopay, invoices and payment links, hosted pages and the virtual terminal, embedded checkout and digital wallets, surcharging, card-present devices, and check rails like lockbox and remote deposit. 10+ years building and operating production backend systems, including 3+ years leading engineering teams responsible for business-critical services.

Payabli’s docs are how partners integrate with us. We want Payabli to be the easiest payments company to integrate with, and documentation is a big part of that. We’re a small, high-ownership team situated alongside the Product and Engineering teams. We treat documentation as a product, and we write for humans and for the AI agents developers now build with.
As Docs Team Lead, you’ll set the direction for our developer and product docs. You’ll lead a team of two technical writers and stay hands-on. You’ll write, review, build tooling and own the API reference. This is a player-coach role. Expect to spend about three quarters of your time on your own technical work and a quarter leading the team.
You’ll report to CTO. This role is remote.
Lead the team
Manage and mentor two skilled technical writers. Hold 1:1s, develop careers, and keep ownership areas clear.
Trust people to own their work. Unblock them fast, and protect the team from burnout.
Run the team’s rituals, including quarterly goal setting, backlog grooming, the PTO and coverage plan, and the culture work, such as writing workshops and blog posts.
Own the developer docs
Own the API reference for our embedded payments API across Pay In, Pay Out and Pay Ops. It’s a multi-file OpenAPI 3.1 source.
Own information architecture, docs CI/CD, and our style guide and linting rules.
Use AI agents in your own daily workflow, with human review gates on everything they produce.
Help review PRs that touch the docs before they go to subject matter experts. You’re the last human gate on quality.
Run docs operations
Triage incoming engineering and product work every day, and turn it into docs tickets with priorities and ship dates and delegate to the team.
Ship docs with every monthly production release, including the API changelog, release notes and the docs each feature needs to launch.
Hold the team to its published SLAs and release tiers, and keep stakeholders informed when something slips.
Own our agentic resources
Own our public agent skills plugin, which partners install in their coding agents. Keep it accurate as the API changes, using the evals that test it across several agents.
Own the skills, agent instructions, and agent tooling our Docs team depends on.
Measure and report
Publish a monthly State of the Docs report from product analytics, AI chat and search data.
Track team velocity, post-release docs work and AI answer coverage, and set targets for each.
Must have
8+ years in technical writing or developer documentation, with real API reference experience
Experience leading or mentoring technical writers
Deep OpenAPI experience, plus docs-as-code workflows with Git, pull requests, CI and Markdown/MDX
Ability to read API responses, write scripts (TypeScript or Python) and build docOps tools
Hands-on experience using AI coding agents in a docs workflow, and judgment about where they fail
A habit of verifying everything, and saying “I don’t know yet” instead of guessing

We want Payabli to be the easiest payments company to integrate with, and documentation is a big part of that. We’re a small, high-ownership team situated alongside the Product and Engineering teams. We treat documentation as a product, and we write for humans and for the AI agents developers now build with.\n\n\n\nAs Docs Team Lead, you’ll set the direction for our developer and product docs. You’ll lead a team of two technical writers and stay hands-on. You’ll write, review, build tooling and own the API reference. This is a player-coach role. Expect to spend about three quarters of your time on your own technical work and a quarter leading the team.\n\nYou’ll report to CTO. This role is remote.\n\n\n\n\nWHAT YOU’LL DO\n\n\n\nLead the team\n\n - Manage and mentor two skilled technical writers. Hold 1:1s, develop careers, and keep ownership areas clear.\n\n - Trust people to own their work. Unblock them fast, and protect the team from burnout.\n\n - Run the team’s rituals, including quarterly goal setting, backlog grooming, the PTO and coverage plan, and the culture work, such as writing workshops and blog posts.\n\nOwn the developer docs\n\n - Own the API reference for our embedded payments API across Pay In, Pay Out and Pay Ops. It’s a multi-file OpenAPI 3.1 source.\n\n - Own information architecture, docs CI/CD, and our style guide and linting rules.\n\n - Use AI agents in your own daily workflow, with human review gates on everything they produce.\n\n - Help review PRs that touch the docs before they go to subject matter experts. You’re the last human gate on quality.\n\nRun docs operations\n\n - Triage incoming engineering and product work every day, and turn it into docs tickets with priorities and ship dates and delegate to the team.\n\n - Ship docs with every monthly production release, including the API changelog, release notes and the docs each feature needs to launch.\n\n - Hold the team to its published SLAs and release tiers, and keep stakeholders informed when something slips.\n\nOwn our agentic resources\n\n - Own our public agent skills plugin, which partners install in their coding agents.
