As a Senior Interactive Designer at Persona, you’ll join our growing Brand Studio and help define the next chapter of our brand across every digital touchpoint.
With a primary focus on our marketing website, you’ll lead design exploration and guide how the site grows — working from early concepts through iteration and production, and setting the bar with thoughtful, well-crafted digital experiences. We are looking for passionate engineers who are excited to build the data foundation for the identity layer of the internet. As an engineer on the Data Platform team at Persona, you'll design, build, and operate the systems that move and store data at massive scale — a datalake, the streaming and batch pipelines that feed it, a multi-provider warehouse layer, and the services built on top of it all. You'll work the full depth of that stack, from raw ingestion through storage layout and compute all the way to the query layer — owning the performance, reliability, and cost of each. Build and scale our datalake — the pipelines that feed it and the storage design that keeps it fast and efficient.
Develop high-throughput data-movement and ingestion services that bring data into the platform reliably and at scale.
Own streaming and batch ingestion and the change-data-capture pipelines that absorb billions of records and terabytes of data per day.
Build new query and analytics capabilities directly on the datalake — for use cases that don't fit a traditional warehouse.
Operate the low-latency serving layer for real-time, high-concurrency access to platform data.
Partner with infrastructure and product teams to provision, secure, and scale the platform.
3+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on data infrastructure or large-scale distributed systems.
Proficiency in Python — our primary language across pipelines. Our newest services are written in Go, so you either work in Go today or are excited to ramp into it.
Hands-on experience with big-data or streaming technologies such as Spark, Kafka, or Flink, and interest in lakehouse table formats like Iceberg.

About the role
We’re looking for a technical, resourceful, and strategic individual to join Persona’s growing Finance team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of finance and Go To Market, working directly with the rest of the finance team, as well as Sales and Post-Sales leadership to build, manage, update, and explain our compensation structures internally. What you'll do at Persona
Design, build, and maintain incentive pay models for Sales and Post-Sales teams, tracking performance against plans and ensuring data accuracy, timely updates, and clean documentation throughout.
Own recurring comp review cycles end-to-end — validating data integrity, calculating attainment, and ensuring payouts go out accurately and on time.
Coordinate with and manage our external comp consultant to keep systems configured correctly, data in sync, and deliverables on track.

About the Role
Persona builds identity verification infrastructure where security isn't a layer we add later, it's core to everything we ship. When security fails at most companies, systems go down. At an identity verification company, real people's identities are compromised.
As AI tooling expands what engineers can build and how fast they can build it, the attack surface grows with it. Someone proactively needs to own that problem.
What you'll work on
This is a product security role embedded in a generalist security team. Right now that means:
Drive the full vulnerability lifecycle and how Persona responds to external threats.
Design and build autonomous systems and AI tooling that scale security across every team and product
Partner with product engineers to shape how new features and systems get built securely
Shape Persona's presence in the security research community — running the bug bounty program that powers it
Must-haves
4+ years of software engineering experience
2+ years in product security
You've translated security risk into product decisions with non-technical stakeholders
You've embedded security into an eng team's SDLC without becoming the team that says no to everything

The Edge team exists because networking kept losing the prioritization battle inside a broader infrastructure team. As we've grown, that became the wrong tradeoff, and we fixed it by giving networking its own home, its own roadmap, and its own definition of done.
This team owns the full traffic path — from the first packet leaving clients through our through our (Cloudflare-backed) ingress and then onward across the service mesh — as a product, not a service desk.
You'll be one of the first engineers on a team with a clear, narrow mission and real ownership. You'll help define what good looks like for a traffic layer that Persona's engineers can configure, observe, and extend without filing a ticket. The changes you make to improve performance will result in meaningful client outcomes.
Own edge networking configuration: routing, WAF policy, rate limiting, certificate management, driving toward a model where engineers ship traffic changes without waiting on infra. We use Cloudflare extensively but not exclusively.

Build tools and automation to scale security controls and monitoring without scaling headcount

About the role
We’re looking for a technical, resourceful, and strategic individual to join Persona’s growing Finance team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of finance and Go To Market, working directly with the rest of the finance team, as well as Sales and Post-Sales leadership to build, manage, update, and explain our compensation structures internally. The data you work with will be sensitive and important to shaping the right incentives to fuel Persona’s next stage of growth, so good judgment paired with accurate and responsible data management is essential. While Persona is based in San Francisco, the Infrastructure team is fully remote, with team members across the US and Canada.
What you'll do at Persona
Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable, and secure data stores used across our application stack.
Collaborate with infrastructure, platform, and application teams to optimize data storage solutions for performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
Implement and advocate for best practices for data modeling, access patterns, monitoring, and incident response.
Contribute to automation, observability, and proactive capacity planning to ensure operational excellence.
Participate in code reviews, contribute to architectural discussions, and mentor junior engineers.
Partner with other engineering teams to deliver on complex initiatives together.
Develop simple, elegant solutions to complex problems.
Embrace and champion engineering best practices within the product engineering teams.
Work closely with product teams to plan and build scalable, resilient and cost-effective infrastructure systems that meet launch goals, reach new markets and scale with product demand.
Directly shape system design, development methodologies, and implementation technologies
What you'll bring to Persona
BA/BS in computer science, software engineering or equivalent experience
5+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on large-scale, distributed data systems.
Strong technical expertise in designing and operating scalable data storage solutions, ideally with the technologies we use (MySQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Redis).
Experience with cloud-native architectures and technologies, particularly Google Cloud (or equivalent cloud providers).
Deep understanding of data consistency, replication, partitioning, and high availability strategies.
Experience with infrastructure-as-code and container orchestration systems like Kubernetes.
Software development experience in general-purpose programming languages (Ruby, Go, Python, Java) with a preference for experience in Ruby on Rails and ORMs.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on cross-functional teamwork.
Knowledge of and expertise in software engineering best practices for software development life cycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
