Stay close to product developments so feature teams understand the legal implications of what they're building, and work directly with the ML and tech teams to ensure our data processing and server-side practices are compliant by design.\n\n - Stay ahead of privacy regulation and keep teams informed. Monitor developments under the GDPR and across the patchwork of foreign privacy laws that are relevant to our business, assess how they affect our work, and proactively brief the teams that need to act on them.\n\n - Grow into the DPO role. As the privacy program matures and you deepen your ownership of it, there's the opportunity to step into our Data Protection Officer role.\n\n\n\nCommercial:\n\n - Own commercial contracting day-to-day. Be the first port of call for the sales team's contract needs — reviewing, drafting, and negotiating sales agreements, and handling the steady daily flow of requests from business teams.\n\n - Support the Head of Legal on whatever the business needs - Managing trademark registrations, corporate, labour, public affairs and beyond - you’ll expand your skillset and knowledge as the business keeps expanding.\n\n\nABOUT YOU\n\n - You bring solid legal experience in data protection/privacy. You have 3 to 5 years under your belt (internships not included), either at a top-tier or tech-focused law firm, as an in-house counsel at a tech company (ideally a SaaS start-up or scale-up), or both. You have experience drafting compliance documentation (DPAs, DPIAs, LIAs…)\n\n - You are comfortable owning a steady volume of commercial and sales contracts, and confident reviewing, drafting, and negotiating independently.\n\n - You hold a Master's degree in law. Bar admission is a plus but not required.\n\n - You're fluent in French and English. You can draft, negotiate, and hold your own in both languages, written and spoken.\n\n - You think like a business partner. You read legal questions in their commercial context, propose workable options rather than theoretical ones, and know when good and clear beats perfect and late. You have the ability to work credibly with technical teams (ML, infrastructure, front-end/back-end).\n\n - You're comfortable with how we work. We're async, remote-friendly, and fast-moving. You manage multiple workstreams independently and keep stakeholders informed without being chased.\n\n - Ideally, you’re familiar with AI technologies and their legal implications, including the EU AI Act. We care more about your ability to learn fast than what you already know.If you think you have what it takes but don't meet every single point above, please still apply. We'd love to chat and see if you could be a great fit.\n\n\n\n\nBENEFITS\n\n - Regular team gatherings, including yearly company offsite and team retreat and social events like winter party and hackathons.\n\n - 25 days annual leave + RTT, and local public holidays\n\n - Competitive equity package with stock options/BSPCE, giving you ownership in our growing company\n\n - €1,000 annual learning and development budget for training, courses, books, and skill development\n\n - Private health insurance\n\n - Access to personalised mental health support, including 1:1 sessions with therapists or coaches, self-care tools, and well-being resources via MokaCare\n\n - Sports and cultural activities reimbursement\n\nNote: Visa sponsorship and relocation support are only available for positions based in France. We cannot sponsor visas for remote positions outside of France.\n\n\n\n\nHIRING PROCESS\n\n 1. Screening call with Talent Manager (30min)\n\n 2. Technical interview with Hiring Manager (45min)\n\n 3. Take-home assignment (duration varies by role) and live review with the team (45min)\n\n 4. Culture fit interviews and meet the team (~3h in total)\n\n 5. Reference check and offer\n\nSupport: We value diversity and aim to create an inclusive experience for all applicants. Please let us know if there’s anything we can do to make the process more accessible for you.\n\n\n\n\nDIVERSITY, EQUITY, INCLUSION, AND BELONGING\n\nWe're committed to enabling everyone to feel included and valued at work. We believe our company and culture are strongest when composed of diverse experiences and backgrounds.\n\nThat's also why we have flexible working hours, trust people to work remotely, and extended parental leave.\n\nAll qualified applicants receive consideration for employment without regard to age, color, family, gender identity, marital status, national origin, physical or mental disability, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, or any other characteristic protected by applicable laws."},{"id":"93fc05c2-63e0-422f-9501-3171be3be840","title":"Senior User Acquisition Manager","department":"GTM","team":"Paid Acquisition","employmentType":"FullTime","location":"Paris","secondaryLocations":[],"publishedAt":"2026-06-19T17:23:43.244+00:00","isListed":true,"isRemote":true,"workplaceType":"Hybrid","address":{"postalAddress":{"addressRegion":"Paris","streetAddress":"12 Rue Charlot, 75003","addressCountry":"France","addressLocality":"Paris"}},"jobUrl":"https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/photoroom/93fc05c2-63e0-422f-9501-3171be3be840","applyUrl":"https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/photoroom/93fc05c2-63e0-422f-9501-3171be3be840/application","descriptionHtml":"
About us

Founded in 2019 and part of Y Combinator's 2020 cohort, Photoroom is the leading visual solution for e-commerce.

We've raised Series B funding and reached 300+ million users worldwide, processing over 5 billion images annually and serving both small businesses and major enterprises like Amazon, DoorDash, and Decathlon through our mobile app, web platform, and API.

We're a team of 100+ passionate builders giving e-commerce businesses superpowers to create visuals that help them grow, making the hardest parts of selling online disappear. Help review, draft, and negotiate sales, marketing, and IT agreements, and assist with the steady flow of contract requests from business teams.\n \n - Raise awareness among and support operational teams (Sales, Customer Success, etc.) on legal and contractual matters: sharing best practices, answering common questions, and upskilling business teams on contractual processes.\n\n - Regulatory/Compliance:\n \n - Support the legal team on GDPR compliance: update our ROPA, review DPAs…\n \n - Monitor and track compliance with applicable regulations: the AI Act, Data Act…\n \n - Help translate these regulations into internal processes and contractual clauses.\n\n - Legal Ops:\n \n - Keep the contract library up to date, reflecting legal developments and the company's practices.\n \n - Optimize legal workflows with AI to enhance the team's efficiency.\n\n\n\n\nABOUT YOU\n\n - You're currently enrolled in a Master's degree in law, ideally with a specialization in data protection/privacy, IT law, or business law, and your school can provide a convention de stage for the full internship.\n\n - You have a first successful experience in a law firm or in the legal commercial department of a company, for example, through a previous internship.\n\n - You're comfortable supporting a steady volume of commercial contract work and eager to learn to review, draft, and negotiate independently.\n\n - You're fluent in French and English, written and spoken.\n\n - You think like a business partner in training. You're curious about the commercial context behind legal questions, and you're comfortable proposing practical options rather than purely theoretical ones.\n\n - You're comfortable with how we work. We're async, remote-friendly, and fast-moving. You can manage several tasks independently and keep stakeholders informed without being chased.\n\n - Ideally, you have an interest in AI technologies and their legal implications, including the EU AI Act. We care more about your ability to learn fast than what you already know.\n\n\n\n\nDIVERSITY, EQUITY, INCLUSION, AND BELONGING\n\nWe're committed to enabling everyone to feel included and valued at work. We believe our company and culture are strongest when composed of diverse experiences and backgrounds.\n\nThat's also why we have flexible working hours, trust people to work remotely, and extended parental leave.\n\nAll qualified applicants receive consideration for employment without regard to age, color, family, gender identity, marital status, national origin, physical or mental disability, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, or any other characteristic protected by applicable laws."},{"id":"e3c89393-eed9-4784-8a48-c96b823a309a","title":"Senior Backend Engineer","department":"R&D","team":"Engineering","employmentType":"FullTime","location":"Paris","secondaryLocations":[],"publishedAt":"2026-08-13T13:12:08.365+00:00","isListed":true,"isRemote":true,"workplaceType":"Hybrid","address":{"postalAddress":{"addressRegion":"Paris","streetAddress":"12 Rue Charlot, 75003","addressCountry":"France","addressLocality":"Paris"}},"jobUrl":"https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/photoroom/e3c89393-eed9-4784-8a48-c96b823a309a","applyUrl":"https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/photoroom/e3c89393-eed9-4784-8a48-c96b823a309a/application","descriptionHtml":"

We focus on craft, innovation, and collaboration to create exceptional impact for e-commerce businesses worldwide.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nROLE SUMMARY\n\nWe're looking for a freelance Senior Recruiter to own end-to-end hiring across the business. You'll run searches across the full range of functions we hire for, build pipelines from scratch, and act as a real partner to hiring managers while collaborating closely with the Talent & People team and leaders across GTM, G&A, Product, and Engineering.\n\nOur Talent team works full-stack rather than by vertical, so nobody here is boxed into one function, although you may have a primary function to look after during a period of time. Your search list shifts as our hiring priorities do, keeping the work varied and giving you visibility across the whole company. In practice, a single quarter might have you running an Account Executive search, a Finance Manager role, and a Product Designer hire at the same time.\n\nMission: 3-4 month freelance mission running to the end of the year, 4-5 days a week, with the possibility of renewal\n\nLocation: Paris. The mission involves regular on-site collaboration with hiring managers, and we'd expect you on-site around 3 days a week.\n\nStart date: ideally early October, with some flexibility for the right person.\n\n\n\n\nABOUT THE ROLE\n\n - Own the full recruitment cycle, from kickoff and sourcing through to screening and offer. We hold a high bar for candidate experience here: timely, meaningful feedback at every stage, and nobody is left without an answer, no matter where they are in the process.\n\n - Take on searches across any part of the business, moving between GTM, G&A, Product, and Engineering depending on where our hiring priorities sit. You'd typically be running 5 to 7 live roles at a time.\n\n - Source actively for most of your roles, as that's where the majority of our pipeline comes from. We care about quality and personalised outreach rather than volume, and you'll balance that with inbound applications and referrals, ensuring your sourcing reaches a genuinely diverse candidate pool.\n\n - Partner closely with hiring managers to sharpen role scoping, calibrate on what good looks like, and guide them through selection and offer decisions.\n\n - Balance delivery with improvement. Filling roles comes first, but we expect you to leave our process better than you found it: use pipeline data to spot bottlenecks, and build the tooling and automations that take repetitive work off your plate. We're an AI company, so we encourage AI-native work here rather than something you squeeze in on the side.\n\n\n\n\nABOUT YOU\n\n - You have 5+ years of recruiting experience, in-house, embedded, or agency-side, with a proven range across very different functions rather than depth in a single vertical.
