About the Role
At Pika, we are pioneering the next generation of creative infrastructure built around real-time, multimodal generation and intelligent agentic platforms. We are seeking accomplished Research Scientists in Foundation Models with expertise in pre-training and mid-training large-scale multimodal foundation models to advance our mission of making agentic, real-time generative technology accessible and transformative for millions of creators. This is a staff and lead-level opportunity.
As a key member of our research team, you will design and implement core technologies, develop new methodologies for large-scale multimodal pre-training/mid-training (text, image, audio, and video), and drive innovative approaches for foundational model architecture. You will collaborate closely with engineering and product teams, shaping the future of real-time creative and agentic platforms at scale.
What You’ll Do
Lead research and development on pre-training and mid-training of multimodal foundation models at scale.
Design and prototype novel algorithms and architectures for high-fidelity, real-time multimodal synthesis and interaction across modalities.
Focus on scalable data pipeline curation and model training strategies for broad, diverse, and sensory-rich datasets.
Advance state-of-the-art techniques in diffusion, autoregressive, and other generative models for large-scale pre-training and fine-tuning.
Identify, create, and leverage large, high-quality cross-modal datasets.
Bring research advancements into production-ready systems in collaboration with engineering and product teams.
Publish work in top-tier conferences and journals, and clearly communicate research both internally and externally.
Stay at the forefront of foundational model and real-time multimodal AI research.
What We’re Looking For
5+ years of research experience in large-scale pre-training/mid-training of multimodal foundation models (LLMs, VLMs, Audio LMs, or similar), ideally at the staff or lead scientist level.
Track record as a first author on major publications in top conferences or journals (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR).
Extensive hands-on experience with large-scale multimodal model design, training, and deployment.
Deep understanding and implementation experience with generative architectures (diffusion, autoregressive, cross-modal, etc.).
Expertise in high-throughput, scalable dataset curation and model pipeline optimization for multimodal applications.
Strong programming and prototyping skills (Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc.) and experience deploying research into production systems.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, and a passion for building creative enabling technology.

What You’ll Do
Design, develop, and maintain scalable GPU infrastructure for training and serving state-of-the-art AI models
Architect and optimize high-throughput, low-latency APIs for AI model serving and inference
Lead the orchestration, scheduling, and efficient utilization of heterogeneous GPU resources across clusters
Build and support robust systems for model deployment, monitoring, scaling, and reliability in production environments

What We’re Looking For
Strong experience (5+ years) as a software engineer working on systems infrastructure, including hands-on work with ML serving and GPU orchestration
Deep knowledge of distributed systems, Kubernetes (or similar orchestration frameworks), and cloud-native infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure)
Proven expertise in building and optimizing APIs for large-scale AI model serving (TensorFlow Serving, Triton, TorchServe, or similar)
Familiarity with the challenges of high-throughput, scalable GPU fleet management, scheduling, and efficient model execution
Proficiency in backend languages such as Python, Go, or C++, and experience optimizing for performance and reliability

We're looking for a Product Marketing Manager who’s passionate about creativity, technology, and shaping culture. What You'll Do
Lead the end-to-end launch journey, from crafting compelling narratives to activating the boldest channels and learning from every campaign.
Develop positioning and messaging that transforms frontier AI into stories creators love and remember.
Partner with product and research teams to translate technical magic into creator-driven go-to-market strategies.
Orchestrate cross-functional launch plans with content, social, PR, and community—all moving as one, with peak creativity and timing.
Track, analyze, and report on the pulse of each launch, ensuring every insight lights the way for what's next.
What We’re Looking For
2–5 years of experience in product marketing, GTM, or a related role—ideally at an inventive tech startup or creative consumer company.
Stellar storyteller: You turn complex tech into inspiring, accessible narratives.
Launch leadership: You’ve driven end-to-end launches and rallied teams toward ambitious goals, even under tight timelines.
Data-driven creator: You measure what matters and evolve fast.
Energized by fast pace: You thrive in creative chaos and frequent ship cycles.
Nice to Have
Experience launching AI or creator-focused tools.
Familiarity with creator/community-led growth and PLG strategies.

About the Role
At Pika, we are shaping the future of creative infrastructure with real-time, multimodal generation and intelligent agentic platforms. We are looking for passionate Research Interns at the BS, MS, or PhD level with significant experience working on Videogen to join our team and make an immediate impact. In this role, you will directly contribute to mid-training and post-training efforts for Videogen models and support advanced generative systems. Familiarity with multimodal large language models (MLLMs) is valued as a bonus.
This internship is ideal for students and researchers who have hands-on Videogen experience, are excited to work at the intersection of generative AI and multimedia, and are eager to make meaningful contributions alongside top AI talent. Flexible part-time and full-time internship terms are available.
What You’ll Do
Work directly on large-scale mid-training, post-training, and optimization efforts for Videogen models.
Design, prototype, and refine algorithms for high-throughput video and multimedia data pipelines.
Collaborate with experienced researchers and engineers on advanced AI and video generation technology.
Apply new research techniques and production-scale workflows to deploy Videogen advancements into real-world applications.
What We’re Looking For
BS, MS, or PhD-level backgrounds, with demonstrated Videogen experience strongly preferred.
Expertise in video generation models or frameworks.
Proficiency in Python and ML toolkits (such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc.).
Prior exposure to multimodal LLM inference, generative models, or related areas is a bonus.
Fast learner who can adapt to new research and technologies quickly.
Excellent communicator and effective team collaborator.
