There will only be a small number of companies who will achieve this. Their ability to stack advantages and pull ahead will define the winners. These companies will move faster than anyone else. They will attract the world's most capable talent. They will be on the forefront of applied research, engineering, infrastructure and deployment at scale. They will continue to scale their training to larger & more capable models. They will be given the right to raise large amounts of capital along their journey to enable this. They will create powerful economic engines. They will obsess over the success of their users and customers.\n\nPoolside exists to be this company: to build a world where AI will be the engine behind economically valuable work and scientific progress. We believe the fastest way to reach AGI lies in accelerating software development itself, by reshaping the developer experience with agentic systems, coding assistants, and the frontier models that power them. We deploy these systems directly into the development environments of security-conscious enterprises.\n\n\n\nABOUT OUR TEAM\n\nWe were founded in the US and have our home there, but our team is distributed across Europe and North America. We get our fix of in-person collaboration (and croissants) in Paris each month for 3 days, always Monday-Wednesday, with an open invitation to stay the whole week. We also do longer off-sites once a year.\n\nOur team is a multidisciplinary blend of research, engineering, and business experts. What unites us is our deep care for what we build together. We’re in a race that requires hard work, intellectual curiosity, and obsession; to balance this intensity, we’ve assembled a team of low ego and kind-hearted individuals who have built the special culture Poolside has. By building collaboratively and with intention, we create a compounding effect that moves the entire company forward towards our mission: reaching AGI through intelligence systems built for software development.\n\n\n\nABOUT THE ROLE\n\nDesign and implement the build, CI/CD, and tooling infrastructure that Poolside's researchers and engineers rely on every day. You'll join our infrastructure team as the second engineer focused on developer experience, partnering closely with the person who owns this area today while sharing on-call, incident response, and platform ownership with the wider team. You'll make our monorepo fast, our builds reproducible, and our Python ecosystem coherent, leveraging automation to multiply your impact across every team at Poolside.\n\n\n\nYOUR MISSION\n\nMake it seamless for our researchers and engineers to build, test, and ship. You'll take on significant ownership of our build and CI/CD systems, with the support of an established infrastructure team behind you.\n\n\n\nRESPONSIBILITIES\n\nYou will be responsible for designing and managing the infrastructure required by Poolside's engineers and researchers. Today we focus on building for a developer-led increasingly AI-assisted world. We believe that current capabilities of AI lead to incredible tooling that can assist developers in their day to day work. We also believe that as we increase the capabilities of our models, we increasingly empower anyone in the world to be able to build software. We envision a future where not 100 million people can build software but 2 billion people can.\n\nView GDPR Policy https://poolside.ai/gdpr\n\n\n\n\nABOUT OUR TEAM\n\nWe are a remote-first team that sits across Europe and North America and comes together once a month in-person for 3 days and for longer offsites twice a year.\n\nOur R&D and production teams are a combination of more research and more engineering-oriented profiles, however, everyone deeply cares about the quality of the systems we build and has a strong underlying knowledge of software development. We believe that good engineering leads to faster development iterations, which allows us to compound our efforts.\n\n\n\n\nABOUT THE ROLE\n\nWe're looking for an Events Lead to take full ownership of every event poolside touches—the ones we host and the ones we show up to—across the world. From investor moments like Davos to developer activations to revenue-driving conferences we attend, you'll own production end to end: booth, materials, swag, logistics, vendors, and the run-of-show. You'll also be the person who makes sure every poolside team member traveling to an event is organized, briefed, and set up to make an impact.\n\n\n\nThis role is based in the US. The most complex and highest-stakes events we run happen here, for reasons of audience, partners, and logistics, so we need someone on the ground who can lead them with operational rigor.\n\n\n\nYou'll work across marketing, sales, product, developer relations, and leadership, and you'll be the connective tissue that turns a calendar of events into measurable awareness, demand, and model usage.\n\n\n\n\nYOUR MISSION\n\nYou'll be obsessed with how poolside shows up to the world—every booth, every dinner, every keynote moment—and with turning each one into mindshare, model usage, brand and pipeline.\n\n\n\n\nRESPONSIBILITIES\n\nYou'll own the full lifecycle of poolside's events, which fall into three broad categories, each with its own goals:\n\n - Commercial — revenue-generating events designed to create and accelerate pipeline. You'll align audiences, invites, and follow-through with go-to-market & partnerships so each event drives measurable commercial impact.\n\n - Activation events — events built to grow mindshare, model usage, and token consumption. You'll design experiences that get developers to try, adopt, and build with poolside.\n\n - Corporate events — All the other moments where poolside needs to show up with precision and polish.\n\n\n\nAcross all three, you'll:\n\n - Own the entire show. From budget to booth design, swag to A/V, on-site ops to run-of-show, you'll be the person who turns a blank slate into an event people remember. Nothing ships without your fingerprints on it.\n\n - Be the reason it runs flawlessly. Every traveling team member looks to you for briefings, schedules, logistics, and prep. When the poolside contingent walks in sharp, organized, and ready, that's you.\n\n - Connect events to real outcomes. Work shoulder-to-shoulder with go-to-market, partnerships, marketing, product, and developer relations to tie every event to targets that matter: attendance, pipeline, model usage, content reach. You won't just run events, you'll prove they moved the needle.\n\n - Own the money story. Track spend, reconcile invoices, and model ROI so the business knows exactly what's working and why. Your story shapes where we invest next.\n\n - Set the bar for partners. Build the relationships with agencies, production partners, sponsors, and vendors that make great events possible, and hold every one of them to the standard poolside is known for.\n\n - Take poolside global. As we scale our presence across regions, you'll be the one building programming that works anywhere in the world.\n\n - Make every event better than the last. Own the KPIs for reach, engagement, pipeline, and brand lift, then turn the data into insights that sharpen everything we do.\n\n\n\n\nSKILLS & EXPERIENCE\n\n - 5+ years in event planning and execution, including hands-on experience running conferences, product launches, or activations with large audiences.\n\n - Based in the US, with the operational skill to lead complex, high-stakes events on the ground here like AWS re:Invent or NVIDIA GTC.\n\n - Deeply detail-oriented: run-of-show documents, vendor management, A/V coordination, swag and booth logistics, and traveler prep are where you shine.\n\n - Commercial awareness: you understand how events connect to pipeline, sponsorship value, model adoption, and ROI, and can report on it clearly.\n\n - A strong cross-functional collaborator who can manage external partners and internal stakeholders to a high standard.\n\n - Developer empathy: you ideally know how to design experiences that resonate with technical audiences—engineers, CTOs, and product leaders – and you can partner with marketing and our field engineering team to support their vision.\n\n - Operational rigor: a proven ability to deliver complex events on time and on budget, with solid contingency planning.\n\n - Comfortable with frequent travel and with the ambiguity of a fast-moving, early-stage environment.\n\n\n\n\nPROCESS\n\n - Intro call \n\n - Working session on event strategy and execution with the marketing team\n\n - Cross-functional interviews\n\n - Team fit call with the People Team\n\n - Final interview\n \n \n\n\nBENEFITS\n\n - Fully remote work & flexible hours\n\n - 37 days/year of vacation & holidays\n\n - Health insurance allowance for you and dependents\n\n - Company-provided equipment\n\n - Wellbeing, always-be-learning and home office allowances\n\n - Frequent team get togethers\n\n - Great diverse & inclusive people-first culture"},{"id":"fbedf9a3-d3f4-4311-8ffd-70def97a5b62","title":"Member of Engineering (Experiment Platform)","department":"Engineering","team":"Engineering","employmentType":"FullTime","location":"Remote (EMEA/East Coast)","secondaryLocations":[],"publishedAt":"2026-07-21T18:25:44.795+00:00","isListed":true,"isRemote":true,"workplaceType":"Remote","address":{"postalAddress":{"addressCountry":"United Kingdom"}},"jobUrl":"https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/poolside/fbedf9a3-d3f4-4311-8ffd-70def97a5b62","applyUrl":"https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/poolside/fbedf9a3-d3f4-4311-8ffd-70def97a5b62/application","descriptionHtml":"
ABOUT POOLSIDE

In this decade, the world will create artificial intelligence that reaches human level intelligence (and beyond) by combining learning and search.
