We're looking for a UI-focused product engineer to join the Horizon team and own how users experience an enterprise-grade MCP gateway. Horizon helps teams deploy, govern, and scale MCP servers. The buyers showing up today are security-minded and platform-minded enterprises who care about access control, auditability, and keeping sensitive data safe.
This is a UI-focused, front-end-leaning full-stack role. Your strength is the product surface: deep front-end craft plus strong opinions about how users interact with the product: the user flows and information architecture, the web app experience, and the framework and underlying technologies. We're explicitly not hiring a stylist or a pure UX researcher. We're hiring an engineer who understands the underlying technology well enough to guide AI tools rather than rely on them for technical judgment, and who can turn complex governance concepts into something legible and intuitive.

Own end-to-end UI and product features in Horizon — from user problem to information architecture to shipped, polished experience. You define what \"done\" looks like.
Set the bar for how users interact with Horizon — the web app experience, the flows, and how complex governance concepts are made legible.
Bring deep front-end craft — TypeScript, React, and the underlying web technologies — and the judgment to direct AI development tools rather than depend on them.
Be a thought partner to the team — collaborate closely so product and UX direction is a shared conversation, not a solo burden.
Translate enterprise signal into product — partner with GTM and customers to turn the \"enterprise-legible\" story (gateway plugins, PII filtering, audit logs, SCIM) into experiences buyers immediately understand.
Write maintainable, performant full-stack code — your center of gravity is the product surface, and you're capable across the stack when the feature demands it.
Develop deep product knowledge of the MCP ecosystem and AI/LLM tooling space.
Participate in on-call / incident response and help maintain production reliability standards.
5+ years of full-stack engineering experience with a front-end focus, and demonstrated success shipping user-facing products people find intuitive.
Track record of shipping in high-ambiguity, early-stage environments without a dedicated PM or design team. Senior enough to pull context from across the org and push back on the team — including on UX.
Deep front-end craft: strong proficiency in TypeScript, React, and modern UI libraries (e.g. TanStack), plus real understanding of the underlying web technologies — enough to guide AI tools, not lean on them for technical direction.
Strong product and UX judgment. You think in user flows, information architecture, and how a product is actually used, and you have opinions and the craft to back them up. (This is UI in the broad sense — UX thinking plus front-end engineering — not styling/CSS specialism or pure user research.)
Comfortable across the full stack, with your energy on the product surface.
Experience building with, or genuine interest in, the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and AI/LLM tooling. You follow the landscape closely.
Self-directed with strong judgment and clear communication.
Real fluency with AI development tools. You've shipped meaningful work with Claude Code, Codex, or their equivalents. You stay accountable for what they produce: you direct them with specs legible to humans and machines; and use them to create a high trust production environment for users. You can make them force multipliers and clearly say when they get in the way.
A formal design background is not required.

We are looking for an Account Executive (Technical Sales) to join our team. As an experience “hunter”, you will own and grow a book of business focused on net-new Prefect opportunities. You’ll combine product-led sales with targeted outbound to build pipeline, and partner closely with Sales Engineers pre-sale.
We’re looking for someone with a proven track record of closing six-figure deals with developer SaaS. Your mission is to meet or exceed revenue targets by landing new logos, running consultative evaluations, and translating technical adoption into business value. This is a high-impact role at the center of our go-to-market engine, ideal for a self-starter who thrives in remote-first, high-ambiguity environments
You'll report to Prefect's Director of Sales, Shane.
Own the full sales cycle for new logos—from prospecting and qualifying through discovery, evaluation, negotiation, and close.
Generate pipeline by blending inbound signals (OSS adoption, PQLs, self-serve Cloud users) with creative outbound; use Prefect’s brand awareness and market momentum to create new lead generation playbooks and channels; maintain ≥3× pipeline coverage quarter over quarter.
Run technical evaluations with Sales Engineers, setting success criteria, designing evaluation plans, and ensuring clear roles and responsibilities in every deal.
Deliver crisp handoffs to Solutions Engineers and CSMs after close, sharing goals, architecture notes, and risks to set customers up for adoption, renewals, and expansion.
Operate with rigor: maintain stage exit criteria, deliver accurate forecasts, keep CRM notes clean, and run disciplined close plans.
Share market insights with Product and Sales leadership to inform roadmap and GTM; contribute repeatable positioning, talk tracks, and case studies.

Denver, Chicago, Atlanta, & all other U.S. metros: $128,000-$150,000 (OTE $256,000-$300,000)

As a Senior Sales Engineer on the Go-to-Market team at Prefect, you will own the technical relationship with our most strategic customers and prospects. You will lead complex evaluations end-to-end — from discovery through architecture review, POC, and production deployment — partnering directly with platform engineering, data, and ML teams at enterprise organizations.

We expect our Senior Sales Engineer to operate with autonomy and ownership — shaping the SE playbook as much as running it. You will develop repeatable methodologies, contribute to product direction through customer signal, and help scale the GTM function beyond yourself.

Develop a clear, technical understanding of Prefect's platform — including durable execution, AI agent orchestration, MCP, and the broader ecosystem of competing solutions

Build and support long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with enterprise clients
