Primer's goal is simple: fix K–12 education in America. We build schools from the ground up — and we run them on something nobody's built before: a single operating system for the entire school. We call it PrimerOS.

As an Admissions Representative, you'll be the human face of Primer for prospective families — the person who meets them where they are, earns their trust, and helps them understand why Primer is different.
We're building education for every family in America, not just the ones who find us easily. You'll report to the Head of Admissions while working closely with the local GM to support campus growth from day one.

We're looking for a Product Manager to help build the software, AI, and data layer that powers how Primer operates.
As Primer grows, our biggest challenge is operating many more excellent schools without scaling people and bureaucracy alongside them. That efficiency is what keeps Primer affordable for every family. This role is about turning the messy, magical reality of schools into systems that make Primer more consistent, more scalable, and more human. Every minute we give back to a teacher is a minute spent with kids.
This role is based in our San Francisco office, working closely with product, engineering, operations, and academic teams — and spending time inside our schools with teachers, understanding how they actually work.

From the app parents use every day, to the signage they see when they walk into a school, you’ll help us define it all.
Most edtech companies stop at software. We run the schools, source the real estate, hire the teachers, and build the spaces where learning happens. The same person who designs the digital onboarding flow also has a point of view on how the classroom flows.

Your job is to harness this momentum and craft a brand that millions of families from all walks of life trust with the most important decision they make each year: their child’s school.
You will own the entire surface area of Primer’s brand — from our big-picture narrative to individual brand assets across visual design, photography, film content, and copy. You’ll inherit our existing brand systems, which you see today across Primer.com, and be tasked with growing this foundation into the future of Primer’s brand.
There are three unique challenges in this role:
First, our brand must be both aspirational and accessible. Most education brands opt for pure exclusivity or pure accessibility, but that won’t work for Primer.
Second, we are a central marketing & brand org with dozens (and soon hundreds) of local Primers. These campuses are the primary way families experience the Primer brand post-enrollment, and nailing the local manifestation of our brand will require systems that scale down to (and empower) those working at the campus level.
Finally, you’ll need to develop (or have) a nuanced intuition for how Primer should fit into the overall education ecosystem. Education is tough, riddled with many strong opinions, which presents both a challenge and an opportunity. If you shape our public perception with conviction — and succeed — you will have crafted one of the all-time great American brands.
Define what Primer stands for. Own our narrative — where we fit in the broader education ecosystem, how we show up, what we're for and what we're against.
Craft our brand norms. These are the standards that define our voice, language, and visual identity. The kind of thing a campus team or a writer can actually pick up and use, not a deck that sits in a drive.
Build the local engine. We have hundreds (and soon thousands) of local educators who are the face of Primer to our families. Creating a consistent brand experience is a unique challenge, and you will own it end-to-end.
Consistency without bottlenecks. Build the operating system that dials in every public-facing artifact we ship. Fight the approval-chain-by-vibes with clear standards and lightweight checks against them.
Partner with Growth, Admissions, and Product to establish the messaging, identity, and creative standards used across marketing, admissions, and the product experience, enabling each team to execute within those standards.
Lay the groundwork for employer brand and PR, so our story lands with parents, future staff, and the public alike.
A strong operator who loves building systems. You're clear-eyed about the complexity of a central brand function with dozens of local spokes.
Someone who's done a lot with a little. You've held a high bar in a resource-constrained environment.
A brand leader who’s done it before — you’ve built brands that feel both aspirational and accessible, and understand what it takes to connect with everyday American families.
A clear writer and editor with real taste. You can set the voice and language standards and enforce them.

You'll own the growth and operations of our work with two nascent programs — the Federal Scholarship Tax Credit Program and the Alabama School Choice Tax Credit. — that unlock access to Primer for thousands of working-class families.
One of our operating principles is 'Access is the constraint'. There are plenty of good schools in the US — there are very few that are truly accessible to the hard-working American families that are increasingly being left behind. These new tax credit programs present a tremendous opportunity to finally change that. The Federal program launches January 2027 and Alabama is live now — which means everything you test in Alabama this year becomes the playbook for Federal in January (and other state programs as we expand).
Your goal is simple: grow these programs as quickly as possible through every available channel — paid acquisition, local marketing, business developments (and many more ideas we haven't thought of yet). You'll own Primer's relationship with both national and state tax-credit Scholarship Granting Organizations (SGOs) end to end: negotiating final terms, setting state-by-state funding amounts and timelines, and acting as the bridge between their teams and Primer's internal teams (Bursar, Foundation). In Alabama, you'll drive corporate donors to state SGO partners — including outreach to corporate prospects who can utilize significant state income tax credits ($1m+) — and build individual donor growth through paid acquisition and Primer's network.
This will likely be the hardest work of your life. You will work across many states, partner closely with Primer's policy, legal, and marketing teams, and encounter many unknowns. But if you succeed, you will have built an engine that unlocks a trajectory-changing education for the next generation.
Federal Tax Credit Programs
Own Primer's Federal SGO relationships: negotiate final terms, set by-state funding amounts, establish timelines, and grow the relationship over time.
Liaise between SGO teams and Primer's internal teams (Bursar, Foundation, Legal, Finance).
Launch and run Primer's in-house SGO growth engine: paid acquisition, landing pages, and creative.
Alabama Tax Credit Programs
Run outreach to corporate prospects capable of utilizing $1M+/yr in state income tax credits, sourcing through Primer's Alabama network.
Build individual donor growth through paid acquisition and Primer's network.
Own growth end-to-end, including annual targets, creatives, and contractors.
A true, seasoned generalist who executes across operations, marketing, and external-facing work. You move fluidly between negotiating with a partner, drafting creative concepts for a paid campaign, and analyzing retention cohorts.
You've owned a number before. You've been measured on dollars generated, deals closed, or revenue grown — and you can walk us through exactly how you did it.

There are plenty of good schools in the US — there are very few that are truly accessible to the hard-working American families that are increasingly being left behind. These new tax credit programs present a tremendous opportunity to finally change that. The Federal program launches January 2027 and Alabama is live now — which means everything you test in Alabama this year becomes the playbook for Federal in January (and other state programs as we expand).\n\nYour goal is simple: grow these programs as quickly as possible through every available channel — paid acquisition, local marketing, business developments (and many more ideas we haven't thought of yet). You'll own Primer's relationship with both national and state tax-credit Scholarship Granting Organizations (SGOs) end to end: negotiating final terms, setting state-by-state funding amounts and timelines, and acting as the bridge between their teams and Primer's internal teams (Bursar, Foundation). In Alabama, you'll drive corporate donors to state SGO partners — including outreach to corporate prospects who can utilize significant state income tax credits ($1m+) — and build individual donor growth through paid acquisition and Primer's network.\n\nThis will likely be the hardest work of your life. You will work across many states, partner closely with Primer's policy, legal, and marketing teams, and encounter many unknowns. But if you succeed, you will have built an engine that unlocks a trajectory-changing education for the next generation.\n\n \n\n\nRESPONSIBILITIES\n\nFederal Tax Credit Programs\n\n - Own Primer's Federal SGO relationships: negotiate final terms, set by-state funding amounts, establish timelines, and grow the relationship over time.\n\n - Liaise between SGO teams and Primer's internal teams (Bursar, Foundation, Legal, Finance).\n\n - Launch and run Primer's in-house SGO growth engine: paid acquisition, landing pages, and creative.\n\nAlabama Tax Credit Programs\n\n - Run outreach to corporate prospects capable of utilizing $1M+/yr in state income tax credits, sourcing through Primer's Alabama network.\n\n - Build individual donor growth through paid acquisition and Primer's network.\n\n - Own growth end-to-end, including annual targets, creatives, and contractors.\n\n \n\n\nWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR\n\n - A true, seasoned generalist who executes across operations, marketing, and external-facing work. You move fluidly between negotiating with a partner, drafting creative concepts for a paid campaign, and analyzing retention cohorts.\n\n - You've owned a number before. You've been measured on dollars generated, deals closed, or revenue grown — and you can walk us through exactly how you did it.\n\n - Comfort negotiating with external partners.\n\n - Experience running or directing paid acquisition — you don't need to run the ads yourself, but you need to know what a well-performing paid acquisition channel looks like..\n\n - Steep slope. Primer is seeking an enthusiastic and responsible Aftercare Program Guide to manage and engage students during the after school program.
The ideal candidate is passionate about working with children between kindergarten to 8th grade, fostering a safe and fun environment, and contributing positively to the school community.
Part-Time
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 3:15 PM - 6:00 PM, during the school year
Compensation: $26.67 per hour
Student Safety Commitment: Student safety is Primerʼs most important responsibility to families. It is critical that Aftercare Guides know where students are at all times, understand emergency procedures, and ensure that every student is safely picked up by an authorized person.
Supervise and engage all students enrolled in the Aftercare program.
Ensure student safety at all times by knowing the location of all students and following authorized pick-up protocols.
Implement structured daily programming aligned to the aftercare schedule.
While schedule is subject to change, it may include:
Opening Circle: snack time and daily connection
Physical Activity: staff-led activities that supports healthy movement and teamwork
Academics: student-choice academic time (e.g., educational boardgames, reading, book clubs)
Skill-Building Activities: games and challenges that promote real-life skills
Adapt activities to meet the needs of your group and the space available
Build positive relationships and maintain respectful communication with students, families, and school staff
Understand and follow emergency and safety protocols outlined by the school leadership
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming aftercare environment
High school diploma or higher
Prior experience working with children and creating engaging, age-appropriate activities
Communicates clearly and professionally with students, families, and school staff
Demonstrates responsibility, reliability, and a positive attitude
Can effectively manage time and resources to create a smooth and enjoyable aftercare experience
Willing and able to complete state database fingerprinting, a background check and Mandatory Abuse Reporting training
