We are looking for a Plant Manager to run the floor of our microfactory and own the daily execution that turns our production plan into finished homes. This is the person the build team looks to every day, the one who holds the line between what the company has committed to and what actually gets built on the floor.
We are at a scaling inflection. Over the next year we move from our prototype facility in Andover to a 100,000 square foot factory in Billerica, grow direct labor from around 20 to 80 or more, and step up output from roughly 10 homes in the last year to 40 to 50 in the next, on a path to far higher volume after that. We need an operator who has built and run a production floor through exactly this kind of ramp, and who runs toward a floor that is short a leader rather than away from it.

Deliver a quality product. Own the in-process and line checks, catch and correct defects on the floor, and build every module to standard.
Lead safety on the floor day to day. Run safety walks, close out action items, and build a culture where working safely is how the floor operates.
Own schedule reliability and on-time module completion for active projects.
Build the supervision and shift structure the floor needs as the team grows from around 20 to 80 or more.
Recruit, onboard, and develop builders and leads, and grow technicians into leaders the way good operators do, through real scope and candid feedback.
Partner with HR and Recruiting on the high-volume hourly hiring and onboarding the ramp requires.
Set clear expectations and a floor culture that takes pride in what it ships.
Help stand up the Billerica facility, from floor layout and work cell design through commissioning and first article, and lead the production team through the move.
Establish the daily operating system at the new facility so it performs from the start rather than relearning what we already know.
Translate the production plan into staffing, training, and floor readiness on an accelerated timeline.
Be a power user and requirements partner for our internal factory software team. You set the floor's requirements and you live in the tools every day.
Run standard work and continuous improvement on the floor, and partner with our operational excellence function to make the factory more capable every week.
Manage from the data the floor generates. If it is not measured, it is not managed.
Build trust with the production team and current floor leads. Spend most of your time on the floor, not in a conference room.
Learn current-state performance (throughput, labor efficiency, quality escapes, safety, schedule reliability) and name the top three constraints holding back the build plan.

We are seeking a hands-on and inventive Construction Integration Engineer to master the intersection of digital design, manufacturing, and construction. This role is the critical link between our digital building models and our physical factory floor, ensuring that every design is optimized for our production system. You will champion Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) principles to create a seamless flow from design intent to a safely and efficiently assembled building module. Champion and implement Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) principles across the organization. Collaborate deeply with design and engineering teams to provide critical, hands-on feedback that ensures all components and systems are optimized for factory production.
Translate digital building models (BIM/CAD) and design intent into integrated work packages and detailed assembly sequences for the factory floor (our Process Definition Table, PDT), enabling efficient and repeatable production.
Develop and deploy highly visual, operator-centric work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for a range of manual and semi-automated tasks, leveraging graphic design where needed.
Lead hands-on process trials and prototyping on the shop-floor. Experiment with and iteratively improve assembly workflows, custom jigs, and workcell layouts to increase throughput, quality, and safety.
Define the requirements for fabrication-level shop drawings and coordinate with the modeling/design engineering team to ensure digital assets translate seamlessly to the physical build environment.

This role is responsible for measuring, cutting, and securely fastening drywall panels to wall and ceiling framing in a controlled manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has strong experience hanging drywall efficiently and accurately, with a commitment to tight seams, clean cuts, and production-grade quality.
Measure, mark, and cut drywall panels to fit walls, ceilings, and openings around windows, doors, outlets, and other penetrations.
Lift, position, and securely fasten drywall panels to wood or metal framing using screw guns, ensuring proper fastener spacing and depth.
Stagger and align seams to minimize finishing work and maximize structural integrity.
Install drywall on ceilings using lifts or with a partner, maintaining level and plumb surfaces.
Cut openings accurately for electrical boxes, HVAC penetrations, plumbing, and fixtures.

We are looking for a sharp, organized professional to support both field operations and executive leadership in a combined part-time role. What We're Looking For
We are seeking a Construction Supervisor with strong carpentry skills to manage our site work, home delivery, and finishing. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on supervisor who is excited to work with both traditional building methods and our innovative modular construction process.
Must have an active Unrestricted Construction Supervisor License (CSL) in Massachusetts.
Multifamily residential experience is preferred, but extensive ground-up residential home construction of any type will be considered.
Responsibilities
Subcontractor Management: You will be the primary point of contact on the jobsite, responsible for all subcontractors from the first shovel to the client move-in. This includes coordinating surveys, excavation, site utilities, foundation, cranes, rigging, carpentry, and final finishes.
Employee Management & Training: Lead and train our company carpenters, providing daily work lists and guidance to ensure quality and productivity.
Jobsite Safety: You are the designated Jobsite Safety Officer, responsible for maintaining a safe working environment for all personnel and visitors.

As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing a crew of builders and leading daily execution across our Andover microfactory. You will translate production plans into action, allocate labor across stations, and make sure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to specification.
This is a role for someone who thrives on the factory floor, leads by example, and takes pride in developing teams. You will be the key link between builders and leadership—keeping work moving, escalating blockers, and instilling a culture of accountability and craftsmanship.

We’re hiring a Construction Materials Procurement & Supply Chain Lead to own the flow of materials from design decision to installation, across both the factory and the field.
This is a player–coach role. You will roll up your sleeves to run a lot of the day‑to‑day work (RFQs, POs, expedites, supplier management) for active single- and multi-family residential projects. In parallel, design the simple, reliable procurement and inventory system that future projects and factories can run on.
Make sure materials never stall the schedule
Own material availability for both factory and jobsite, from permit set through installation.
Build and run a clear playbook for long‑lead items so projects are not delayed by materials.
Reduce stockouts in kitting and on the floor by setting and managing min/max levels and reorder logic for stocked parts.
Build the procurement & inventory “operating system”
Turn today’s bill of materials, purchase logs, and ad‑hoc processes into a documented, teachable process that goes from permit set → BOM → RFQs → POs → receiving → kitting → project closeout.

Turn lessons learned from the floor and jobsite into updated details, standards, and rules that prevent recurrence.
Manage and level‑up external partners
Coordinate with EORs and other consultants to align on performance criteria, details, and assumptions.
Push for designs that are safe and code‑compliant without unnecessary over‑design, and quantify trade‑offs in cost and manufacturability.
Contribute to platform‑level system studies
Co‑lead investigations into new structural concepts and their implications for cost, throughput, carbon, and field performance.
Work with systems and MEP engineering to rationalize penetrations, chases, and integrated assemblies.
Prototype automated structural optimization workflows
Work with modeling and software teams to design simple, repeatable optimization studies for key framing systems (for example: minimizing steel tonnage subject to drift limits, or comparing lateral systems across cost and constructability).
Help define how structural models, analysis tools, and modeling pipeline should interact so these studies can eventually be run automatically for both platforms and projects.
By your 90‑day mark, we’ll look to you to have driven tangible, system‑level progress. Specifically, you will:
Establish a baseline structural “kit of parts”
Document standard wall, floor, and roof assemblies (including spans, sheathing patterns, shear wall strategy, tie‑downs, and typical connections) for a selected product line (e.g., Triple Decker or comparable module set).
Identify where current details are over‑designed, under‑specified, or misaligned with factory reality, and propose targeted updates.
Close at least two recurring structural pain loops between design and factory
Partner with factory, modeling, and design teams to select two recurring issues with structural implications (for example: cracking during lifts, truss dimension mismatches, missing shear/nailing schedules, or wall fit problems).
For each, deliver:
A concise root‑cause write‑up, including structural and process contributors.
A concrete change to details, standards, or tolerances that is implemented in our drawings, models, or Sidekick documentation.
Define a repeatable collaboration model with our structural EOR
For at least one active project, lead the structural engagement with the EOR from internal concept through stamped package.
Produce a lightweight “playbook” for how we want to work with stamping engineers going forward (what we own, what they own, how we avoid unnecessary over‑design, and how we keep decisions synchronized with our models).
Embed structural logic in our digital toolchain
Work with modeling and software partners to get at least one important structural rule (for example: standard nailing schedule behavior, span checks, or connection rules) expressed in a way that can be encoded in our parametric modeling workflows.
Document the next 3–5 candidate rules that should follow, with a clear sense of impact and implementation difficulty.
Create a shared, practical definition of “structurally done”
Align with architecture, modeling, and factory engineering on what “structurally done” means at each stage (concept, permit, issued‑for‑modeling, issued‑for‑factory, issued‑for‑field).
Propose a simple checklist or gate for at least one stage that we begin piloting on live work.
Experience
7+ years of structural engineering experience on building projects, ideally including multifamily or high‑repeatability housing types.
Experience with modular, offsite, panelized, or other prefabricated systems is a strong plus.
Demonstrated track record of coordinating with architects, MEP engineers, fabricators, and field teams.
Technical depth
Strong grasp of structural behavior in wood/light‑gauge and mixed‑material systems (gravity, lateral, connections, deflection, movement, and creep).
Solid understanding of current building codes and standards, including IBC, ASCE 7, and relevant material-specific codes.
Familiarity with Massachusetts and/or California building codes, and comfort working with third‑party modular inspection agencies and local AHJs.
Proficiency with structural analysis and documentation tools; comfortable working from and back into Revit, and able to collaborate effectively with parametric CAD environments (Onshape, SolidWorks, Tekla, etc.).
Experience with or strong interest in API‑driven structural tools (for example SkyCiv, Dlubal RFEM 6, or similar), or a track record of using scripting/automation around more traditional tools (e.g., RISA, ETABS, SAP) to run repeatable studies and optimizations.

We are seeking a Senior Architect for a hands-on leadership role that will focus on project management and strengthening Reframe’s internal Project Delivery infrastructure. This role will focus on active projects, and include coaching and mentoring a team of designers to create best-in-class project delivery tools and processes. Prepare and/or review project deliverables for modular and jurisdictional permit submissions.

Collaborate with the DFMA team to ensure project designs and specifications are aligned with the Reframe Building System.
Conduct factory and site inspections as needed, including First Article reviews and punch lists.
Provide and/or manage Construction Administration during downstream project phases: Design Engineering (digital twin model), Factory Build, and Field Delivery.
Serve as a primary point of contact for internal project stakeholders: DFMA, Design Engineering, Factory Operations, Field Operations. Resolve project-based questions, RFIs, and technical constraints in real time.
Coordinate our modular Building System and standardized assemblies with project-specific requirements.
Continuously improve processes. Identify opportunities to improve design standards, coordination workflows, and production efficiency.

Bachelor's and Master’s degree in Architecture or a related field.
8–10 years of experience in architectural practice or an architectural management role.
4+ years of direct, construction-related experience (e.g., construction administration), with involvement across projects from early design through closeout. Bonus if focused specifically on offsite, modular, or prefabricated construction.
Experience with construction types III and V.
Professional Architectural License is preferred. In MA, CA, VT, NY, and/or Utah is a plus.
Advanced proficiency in Revit and BIM is a must. Familiarity with manufacturing-centric software (e.g., Onshape, SolidWorks, Inventor, or Catia) is a significant plus.
Experience with construction management software, Bluebeam, Wrike, Google Suite, Notion, and Figma is a plus.
Experience in small-to-medium scale multifamily residential construction is required; experience with light-frame wood construction and/or offsite/volumetric modular construction is a plus.
Significant experience with construction documentation and document control, including coordinating and managing inputs from external consultants.

The Building Systems team owns the definition of Reframe's repeatable building system: the standard assemblies, details, components, and interfaces that every project draws from, so project teams can move fast on decisions that have already been made well once.
As a Building Systems Engineer, you will define, document, prototype, and continuously improve that system. Your work is deliberately decoupled from day-to-day project execution: your job is to make the next ten projects easier, not to ship this month's modules. Over the next 12 months our product focus is Type 5 low-rise residential (single-family homes, ADUs, and townhomes), and you will help lock in the layered system of standards that supports shared components across those product types.
Define and maintain the standard assemblies and details that make up our building system: structural and envelope recipes, exterior wall assemblies, mate lines, floor cassettes, connection methods, and the interfaces between them
Decide where variation is allowed and where the system is frozen, and track project-specific deviations so exceptions are explicit and time-bound rather than tribal knowledge
Own system-level subsystems end to end, such as the MEPF module interconnect system (circuits, plumbing, and ductwork connections between finished modules) and a scalable electrical system, from research through prototyping with the factory floor to a defined standard detail set
Lead high-impact system optimization initiatives such as enclosed wall panels, exterior insulation strategy, and structural optimization
Translate building science and air-tightness goals into buildable details and repeatable processes
Set product requirement standards for off-the-shelf and finished components (windows, exterior doors, fixtures): what the factory can and cannot receive, communicated clearly to design and procurement
Serve as a manufacturability gate: review and approve new or changed panel types and assemblies before they enter the system
Build mockups and first-article prototypes on the floor or in the yard before design lock, and partner with Manufacturing to define the capabilities and workcells needed to produce what you design
Design for automation as a first principle, so the system we standardize is the system robots and software can build
Maintain change visibility across the organization: what changed, why, who it impacts, and when it should be adopted
10+ years of experience in construction products, prefab/modular construction, building envelope, or a related hardware product domain
Deep understanding of light wood-frame construction and at least one of: building science, MEP systems, or structural systems
A systems thinker who is energized by standardization, interfaces, and platform design rather than one-off problem solving
Hands-on: you prototype, you build, and you validate on the floor before you publish a standard
Fluent in CAD (Onshape experience a plus) and comfortable producing documentation that design, manufacturing, and field teams will actually use

What We're Looking For
We're looking for a Mechanical Engineering Co-op to join our team at FAB1, our first full-scale microfactory in Billerica, MA, this fall. This role is built for someone who loves the full loop of engineering: sketch it, model it, build it, test it, and fix it — fast. You'll rotate across active projects on our Mechanical Engineering team, working alongside engineers designing the workcells, fixturing, and production infrastructure that make our factory run.
This is a hands-on role. You'll spend real time in the shop — cutting, welding, printing, and machining your own parts — not just handing drawings off to someone else. We move quickly here, so we need someone who can take a rough idea, iterate on it in CAD, get a physical version in hand, and improve it based on what they learn, on a tight timeline.
What You'll Do
Design and Iterate Fast: Take on real mechanical design problems across FAB1 projects — fixtures, workstations, material handling, tooling — and move quickly from concept to CAD to working prototype.
Build What You Design: Fabricate and assemble your own prototypes and production hardware using mills, lathes, laser cutters, welders, 3D printers, and standard shop tools.
Rotate Across Projects: Work across multiple active workstreams on the ME team rather than a single fixed project, picking up context quickly and contributing wherever the team needs hands and ideas.
Test and Improve: Validate your designs on the shop floor, troubleshoot what doesn't work, and iterate toward a production-ready result.
Support Documentation: Produce clear CAD models and basic technical drawings that a teammate or vendor could build from.
Learn the Full Stack: Get exposure to how mechanical design connects to robotics, automation, and factory operations in a live manufacturing environment.
Qualifications

We’re looking for a Head of Operations to join the Reframe executive team and lead the scaling of our manufacturing and field operations. Reporting directly to the CEO and working alongside leaders in Design, Technology, Field Construction, and Revenue, you will own the transition from single-site prototype operations to a high-volume, multi-facility scaling model.
As Head of Operations, you are a proven operational leader who thrives at the intersection of physical systems, automation software, and high-velocity teams. We are not managing a steady-state operation—we are building the infrastructure, culture, and playbook to scale from one factory to many. We need a technology-forward leader who brings deep rigor, systems thinking, and execution discipline to a genuinely novel manufacturing challenge.
1. Factory Operations & Multi-Site Scaling
Launch & Facility Transition: Lead the transition and launch from our Andover prototype facility (FAB0) to our new 100,000 sq. ft. production facility in Billerica, MA (FAB1)—from floor layout, work cell design, and equipment commissioning through full production capacity.
P&L & Target Ownership: Own factory P&L, throughput targets, labor efficiency, quality metrics, and unit cost reductions.
The \"1 → 2 → N\" Playbook: Build the organizational playbook, standard operating procedures, and management infrastructure to scale from our current team to a multi-facility production network.
2. Plant Leadership & Floor Operations Management
Direct Management of Plant Leadership: Oversee the Plant Manager (who owns daily huddles, floor takt time, and direct shop supervision) to ensure production plans reliably translate into finished, high-quality homes.

Own daily/weekly plan attainment for your area: throughput, minutes/SF, schedule attainment, and rework hours

This is a cross-functional program management role. You are Reframe's risk management and decision-forcing layer across all active construction projects.
You maintain the single source of truth on where every project stands across Design, Permitting, Engineering, Factory Production, Field Operations, Software, and Procurement. This role reports to the Head of Systems Design and Engineering. You will own a portfolio of 5+ concurrent projects from contract through field delivery.
Interface with team leads across Design, Engineering, Factory Production, Field Operations, Software, and Procurement to understand requirements, constraints, and dependencies
Translate those inputs into a unified, end-to-end plan with clear owners, dates, and handoff criteria
Drive execution: track progress, surface blockers, hold teams accountable to commitments
Serve as the primary point of contact for leadership on program health — translate complexity into clear, actionable status and risk summaries
Maintain the cross-project schedule in Jira/BigGantt, integrating timelines across all functions
Track factory capacity allocation against project demand; flag conflicts before they hit the critical path

We are seeking a highly talented, detail-oriented, and experienced Design Engineer to join our dynamic and multidisciplinary AEC team. This role is crucial for transforming the traditional design process by developing and implementing advanced parameterized designs and automated design logic for residential and low-rise multi-family buildings.
The right candidate will serve as a technical leader, bridging the gap between design ideation and final fabrication. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for the following areas, with an emphasis on automation and process improvement:
Expert CAD Modeling and Detailing: Serve as the technical authority for creating detailed and parameterized CAD models using Onshape. 7+ years of progressive experience as a Mechanical Engineer or a similar role focused on detailed product design, preferably within the AEC, high-tech manufacturing, or related construction industries.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, Architecture or a closely related technical field.
Expert-level proficiency in a major parametric CAD system (e.g., Onshape, SolidWorks, CATIA).

CAD Management: Organize and maintain controlled documentation of 3D models and work instruction files, in a highly collaborative cloud environment, to ensure that the latest versions are readily accessible.
Quality Assurance: Own the modeling and work instructions review process, ensuring 3D models are accurate, complete, and compliant with project standards and regulations. Make revisions as necessary to address design changes or discrepancies.
2+ years of experience as a Design Engineer is required for this role. Bachelor's degree in an engineering field is required. Background in the construction industry is a plus.
Proficiency in Onshape (or similar - CATIA, Solidworks, CREO). Knowledge of Revit is a plus.

The DFMA Project Engineer is the person who makes sure what we design is what our factory can build, and that the people building it have everything they need.
You will be embedded with our Design Engineering team and own buildability for your projects from early design through module release and field set. You bring real construction knowledge into the room when design decisions are being made, map the build information into our models alongside our modelers, and stand behind every module released to the floor. This is a hybrid role: part builder, part engineer, part translator. You will spend time at a desk in the model, in design reviews with architects, and on the factory floor and project sites with your tools.
Evaluate horizontal and vertical assemblies for compliance with our automation systems, cost, and shape the factory vs. field split for each project

This is a factory-focused, individual contributor HRBP role. However, you'll be the primary HR presence for our production workforce — embedded in the operation, trusted by the floor, and accountable for keeping our People practices compliant, consistent, and human as we scale. You'll own employee relations, high-volume onboarding, hourly workforce compliance, and the day-to-day people experience for a workforce that includes skilled tradespeople, machine operators, and production leads.

Factory People Operations
Own the HR function for all factory employees and frontline managers — the go-to for anything people-related on the floor
Support high-volume onboarding targeting 4–6 new hires per month, accelerating from there as the ramp intensifies
Own the day-to-day employee experience on the factory floor — visible, accessible, and trusted
Partner with factory ops leadership on workforce planning, shift structures, and headcount decisions
Manage employee relations with care, consistency, and good judgment
Conduct investigations and document ER matters per policy and legal requirements
Support PIPs and disciplinary actions for hourly employees
Be a consistent, grounded presence on the floor — not just a back-office resource
Hourly & Manufacturing Workforce Compliance
Ensure compliance with FLSA, OSHA, and state-specific wage and hour regulations

Own recordkeeping for hourly employees — I-9 compliance, personnel files, and related documentation
Monitor multi-state employment law changes as new factory locations come online
Support workers' compensation claims management

Partner with safety and ops on injury prevention, incident reporting, and return-to-work programs

Partner with recruiting vendors and the Head of People to build the factory candidate pipeline
Own the factory onboarding experience — Day 1 logistics, orientation, safety training
Develop and maintain onboarding materials for production roles
Track early attrition and surface patterns to inform sourcing and selection
Support internal mobility and career pathing for high-performing factory employees
What We're Looking For
4–6 years of HR experience with meaningful time supporting hourly or manufacturing workforces
Strong working knowledge of FLSA, OSHA, wage and hour law, and multi-state compliance
Experience managing employee relations in a fast-paced physical work environment
Comfortable with high-volume onboarding and the operational rigor it requires
Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
Hands-on HRIS experience with Rippling HRIS

What We're Looking For
We're looking for a Mechanical Shop & Lab Manager to own FAB1's machine shop, a fully equipped space with mills, lathes, laser cutters, welding equipment, and 3D printers that supports engineering and prototyping across the company. This is a hands-on, full-time role for someone who wants a shop to actually be theirs: maintaining the equipment, running point on tooling and consumables, and building a real training program so employees across the company can get certified on machines safely and confidently.
What You'll Do
Own the Space: Be the single point of accountability for the machine shop and lab — layout, organization, cleanliness, and day-to-day operations.
Maintain the Equipment: Run preventive maintenance schedules, troubleshoot and repair machine issues, and manage relationships with service vendors and suppliers.
Manage Tooling and Consumables: Track inventory, reorder consumables before they run out, and make purchasing decisions on new tooling and equipment.
Formalize Training and Access: Help build structured trainings so employees can safely get checked out on mills, lathes, laser cutters, welding, 3D printing, and other equipment. Define who's allowed to use what, and enforce it.
Set the Safety Standard: Establish and enforce shop safety protocols — PPE requirements, machine-specific safety procedures, emergency procedures — and keep the space compliant and audit-ready.
Make the Shop Accessible: Act as the go-to resource for anyone in the company who wants to use the space, from experienced engineers to first-timers, and remove the friction that currently keeps people out.
Support Projects: Develop functional electro-mechanical prototypes, fixture-building, and fabrication for active FAB1 projects when shop operations allow.
Qualifications
3+ years of hands-on experience in a machine shop, fab shop, or similar environment.
Deep working knowledge of mills, lathes, laser cutters, welding, and 3D printing — comfortable both operating and maintaining this equipment.
Experience training others on shop equipment and safety procedures, or strong instinct for how to build that kind of program from scratch.
Highly organized, with a track record of bringing structure to a space that didn't have it.
Comfortable owning a space independently — this role has a lot of autonomy and needs someone who takes initiative rather than waiting for direction.
Strong communicator who can set and hold boundaries on safety and access without being a bottleneck.

As our Financial Analyst, you will serve as a core engine for Reframe’s FP&A, operational finance, and strategic planning. You won't just be tracking numbers—you will help define the unit economics of our modular microfactories, track Bill of Materials (BOM) cost reductions, and build financial visibility as we scale from 1 → 10.

1. FP&A & Corporate Financial Modeling
Financial Planning & Budgeting: Own and maintain the company’s 3-statement financial model, rolling forecasts, and annual budgeting process.
Variance Analysis: Track monthly and quarterly actuals vs. budget (BvA), analyzing key drivers behind revenue, operating expenses, and capex.

Our mission hinges on being able to create building designs with 10x more detail than typical architectural sets in 1/10th the time. We're looking for the software engineer to build the CAD automations that power that workflow. You'll write custom features in and around Onshape (FeatureScript and API driven), and back them with real engineering practices, so the tools you ship run reliably in production and take repeated manual work off the team's plate. Your work sits downstream of architectural design and feeds our CAD-to-fab pipeline all the way to the factory floor.
This is a hands-on role. The best candidate is a software engineer who enjoys living in CAD and learning new domains. You're comfortable using coding agents and modern AI tooling to prototype fast, work closely with the team, and ship something people actually use day to day rather than a demo that never leaves the shelf.
Design, develop, and maintain custom Onshape features in FeatureScript that run in production and hold up to daily use.

What We're Looking For
We're looking for a Mechanical Engineering Co-op to join our team at FAB1, our first full-scale microfactory in Billerica, MA, this fall. This role is built for someone who loves the full loop of engineering: sketch it, model it, build it, test it, and fix it — fast. You'll rotate across active projects on our Mechanical Engineering team, working alongside engineers designing the workcells, fixturing, and production infrastructure that make our factory run.
This is a hands-on role. You'll spend real time in the shop — cutting, welding, printing, and machining your own parts — not just handing drawings off to someone else. We move quickly here, so we need someone who can take a rough idea, iterate on it in CAD, get a physical version in hand, and improve it based on what they learn, on a tight timeline.
What You'll Do
Design and Iterate Fast: Take on real mechanical design problems across FAB1 projects — fixtures, workstations, material handling, tooling — and move quickly from concept to CAD to working prototype.
Build What You Design: Fabricate and assemble your own prototypes and production hardware using mills, lathes, laser cutters, welders, 3D printers, and standard shop tools.
Rotate Across Projects: Work across multiple active workstreams on the ME team rather than a single fixed project, picking up context quickly and contributing wherever the team needs hands and ideas.
Test and Improve: Validate your designs on the shop floor, troubleshoot what doesn't work, and iterate toward a production-ready result.
Support Documentation: Produce clear CAD models and basic technical drawings that a teammate or vendor could build from.
Learn the Full Stack: Get exposure to how mechanical design connects to robotics, automation, and factory operations in a live manufacturing environment.
Qualifications
Currently pursuing a BS in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; junior or senior standing preferred.
Solid CAD skills (Onshape, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar) and the ability to go from a rough idea to a modeled part quickly.
Comfortable and safe operating shop tools and equipment — mills, lathes, laser cutters, welding, 3D printing, hand and power tools.
A fast learner who can pick up new tools, processes, and project context with minimal ramp-up.
Bias toward action: you'd rather build a rough prototype and learn from it than perfect a design on paper.
Strong communicator who works well within a team and can take direction from multiple engineers across rotating projects.
Available for a full-time, semester-length co-op in Billerica, MA this fall.

The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing modular construction projects from concept through installation. This includes managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, internal cross-functional teams, and client relationships. Unlike traditional construction PM roles, this position requires working within an evolving product ecosystem, contributing to process development, and supporting continuous improvement efforts across design, manufacturing and field operations.
Support the project lifecycle from preconstruction and design coordination through factory production, site preparation, installation, and project closeout.
Help the PMs develop and manage project budgets, schedules, logistics plans, and resource allocations.
Work in conjunction with PMs to oversee procurement, contracts, subcontracts, and change management workflows.
Help to coordinate between manufacturing teams, design/engineering, robotics teams, and field installation crews to ensure alignment.
Work closely with product, engineering, and operations to integrate project requirements into modular building systems.
Provide feedback on design for manufacturability (DFM) and installation processes.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
We are seeking a skilled Drywall Finisher to join our factory team and play a critical role in producing high-quality modular housing components. This role is responsible for taping, mudding, sanding, and finishing drywall seams, joints, corners, and fastener heads to create smooth, market-ready surfaces. The ideal candidate has strong experience with drywall finishing in a manufacturing or production environment, with a commitment to precision, clean work, and production-grade quality that minimizes rework downstream.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Apply joint compound (mud) to drywall seams, joints, and fastener heads using taping knives and appropriate techniques for each coat.
• Tape seams and joints with joint tape, feathering compound edges to create seamless transitions and minimize visible lines.
• Finish corners, both inside and outside, using corner bead and compound to achieve straight, clean lines.

• Identify and repair imperfections, voids, and damage in drywall panels before mudding begins, coordinating with framers as needed.

• Mix, manage, and maintain joint compound at proper consistency to ensure quality application and minimize waste.
• Inspect finished work against specifications and quality standards, addressing touch-ups or rework promptly.

QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience finishing drywall, preferably in manufacturing, commercial construction, or production environments.
• Proficiency with drywall finishing techniques that produce smooth, defect-free surfaces ready for paint or final finishes.
• Strong understanding of joint compound types, tape selection, and application methods for different seam conditions.
• Familiarity with tools and equipment used in drywall finishing (e.g., taping knives, mud pans, sanders, corner tools, lifts).
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and finish specifications.

We are looking for a Material Handler to keep our production line moving. Your mission is simple to say and critical to do: make sure builders never have to leave their stations to find material. You'll run regular replenishment loops through the factory delivering lumber, panels, parts, fasteners, and consumables to the point of use, keep line-side stock bins full, stage and kit material for upcoming modules, and support receiving when trucks arrive.
This is a full-time, hands-on, on-site role at our factory in the greater Boston area, and it's a genuine entry point into factory operations — no prior experience required. We are looking for a Warehouse Manager to own everything that happens to material between the receiving dock and the point of use on the production line. That means receiving, inventory accuracy, storage and organization, replenishment, and material staging for a high-mix factory that builds complete homes indoors.
This is a hands-on role. You'll spend most of your day on the floor and in the yard, and you'll also own the systems behind the work: our inventory software, cycle counting, and the kanban replenishment program for stock items. You'll report to the Head of Supply Chain and work closely with procurement and production leadership. You'll give day-to-day direction to the receiving and material movement team.
NOTE: The position is full-time and based on-site at our factory in the greater Boston area.
Own receiving: verify inbound deliveries against purchase orders, resolve discrepancies with procurement, and get material put away and findable the same day
Own inventory accuracy: maintain the inventory system of record, run cycle counts, and keep on-hand quantities trustworthy enough that production and procurement can plan against them
Run the kanban replenishment system for stock items: set and tune reorder points, manage bin locations, and execute replenishment buying for consumables and shop supplies
Stage and kit material to the production line so builders never wait on material handling
Own warehouse and yard organization: layout, labeling, racking, and safe material flow, including forklift operations and outdoor storage
Prevent stockouts: flag shortages before they hit the line, and close the loop with procurement when they do
Support the move to our next factory: help plan the warehouse and yard layout in the new facility and execute the physical inventory transfer
Give day-to-day direction to receiving and material movement staff and keep the team's daily priorities clear
Support the EHS Manager with hazardous materials accountability and compliance per OSHA requirements.
You know where everything is. You've taken over receiving and daily replenishment, learned our inventory system, and identified the biggest gaps between what the system says and what's on the shelf.
Inventory accuracy is measurably improving. Cycle counting runs on a regular cadence, the kanban system covers our stock items with reorder points you've validated, and production stoppages caused by material handling are rare and documented when they happen.
You've stood up the warehouse and yard at our next facility and made steady-state material flow boring, in the best way: material arrives, gets received same day, and reaches the line without anyone chasing it.
4+ years in warehouse, inventory, or materials management in a manufacturing or construction environment
Hands-on experience with an inventory or ERP system as the person responsible for its accuracy, not just a user
Experience with lean replenishment methods (kanban, min/max, cycle counting)
Forklift experience; certification a plus, and we'll train and certify you if needed

As the Accounts Payable and Receivable Manager, you will own the end-to-end procure-to-pay process across our manufacturing microfactories and corporate operations. Working closely with procurement, supply chain, robotics engineering, and vendor partners, you will establish scalable AP controls, manage invoice matching, and maintain accurate inventory and vendor accounting as our production volume scales.
Invoice Processing & Matching: Manage daily intake, coding, and processing of vendor invoices, utility bills, subcontractor billings, and freight charges utilizing 3-way matching (PO, Receiving Receipt, Invoice).
Vendor & Supply Chain Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor inquiries, manage supplier onboarding, verify W-9/tax details, and maintain strong vendor relationships.
Payment Execution: Prepare weekly payment runs (ACH, wire transfers, and checks), ensuring optimal payment terms, early pay discounts, and cash flow management.

Come build it with us.\n\n\n\n\nTHE ROLE\n\nAs the Accounts Payable and Receivable Manager, you will own the end-to-end procure-to-pay process across our manufacturing microfactories and corporate operations. Working closely with procurement, supply chain, robotics engineering, and vendor partners, you will establish scalable AP controls, manage invoice matching, and maintain accurate inventory and vendor accounting as our production volume scales.\n\n\n\n\nRESPONSIBILTIES\n\n - Invoice Processing & Matching: Manage daily intake, coding, and processing of vendor invoices, utility bills, subcontractor billings, and freight charges utilizing 3-way matching (PO, Receiving Receipt, Invoice).\n\n - Vendor & Supply Chain Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor inquiries, manage supplier onboarding, verify W-9/tax details, and maintain strong vendor relationships.\n\n - Payment Execution: Prepare weekly payment runs (ACH, wire transfers, and checks), ensuring optimal payment terms, early pay discounts, and cash flow management.\n\n - Inventory & Manufacturing Integration: Partner with Supply Chain and Operations to resolve PO, price variance, and receiving discrepancies across microfactory raw materials and equipment.\n\n - Reconciliations & Month-End Close: Reconcile vendor statements, maintain subledger-to-GL accuracy, and prepare AP aging reports and accrual schedules for monthly financial close.\n\n - Process & Controls Optimization: Assist in setting up automated AP workflows, ERP system controls, and expense management tools to support high-growth manufacturing scaling.\n\n\n\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\n\n - Experience: 5+ years of dedicated Accounts Payable experience, preferably in manufacturing, hardware, construction, or deep-tech startup environments.\n\n - ERP & Systems: Hands-on proficiency with modern ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks Online) and automated AP software (e.g. Ramp).\n\n - Skills: Strong understanding of PO process, job costing, sales tax/use tax basics, strong organizational skills and accrual accounting principles.\n\n - Mindset: High-agency problem solver with exceptional attention to detail who thrives in a fast-paced microfactory or manufacturing environment.\n\n\n\nReframe Systems is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
