The Role
We're looking for our first dedicated internal Controller to own our accounting function end to end. Surge has grown fast and profitably, and our accounting needs have grown with it: complex revenue arrangements with the world's largest AI labs and a global workforce. You'll build the accounting processes and systems that let us scale with confidence, and you'll be hands-on while you do it.
What You'll Do
Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, and drive it toward faster, cleaner, more automated cycles
Ensure GAAP-compliant financials, with particular depth in revenue recognition for usage-based and milestone-based enterprise contracts
Own accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and collections, including invoicing at enterprise scale
Manage accounting for our global workforce, including contractor payments and payroll in partnership with our PEO
Design and implement internal controls appropriate for our stage, and strengthen them as we grow

The Role
As Legal Operations / Paralegal at Surge, you’ll keep our legal function running. The Role
As IP and Data Privacy Counsel at Surge, you’ll be our in-house expert on the legal questions at the center of our business: how data is collected and handled, who owns the data and content that AI systems are built on, and how our work fits into privacy and IP law that is changing quickly. What You’ll Do
Advise on data privacy across US and EU/UK law, and build and maintain our privacy program, including policies, notices, data processing agreements, and our approach to cross-border transfers.

Frontier models get better when real experts work on them. Those experts have full careers, and they’ve never heard of us.
You’ll recruit for our global, distributed workforce of independent contractors, not for corporate roles. These are experts working on projects that shape how frontier models think. A lot of them don’t work in AI. Some are curious, some are wary, and some think it’s coming for their field. You need to get a reply, then keep them interested through the assessment and onboarding.
The standard playbook won’t get you far. InMail sequences and job boards reach people who are already looking, and most of the experts we need aren’t. You’ll have to work out where they are and what gets a reply.
We don’t count sign-ups. We count experts who finish, pass, and do great work.

We're looking for a Revenue Operations Manager to build the systems and processes behind Surge’s go-to-market. You’ll work closely with Marketing, Business Development, Operations, and Finance to help us scale with clear processes, reliable data, and reporting leaders use to make decisions.
This is a foundational role. You’ll have broad ownership and the chance to shape how we go to market as we grow.
What You'll Do
Build the go-to-market foundation. Define funnel stages, lead routing, and follow-up processes so every opportunity is handled consistently.
Own our GTM systems. Lead CRM strategy, implementation, and administration, and shape the broader revenue tech stack.
Enable account-based marketing. Partner with Marketing on target account strategy so campaigns focus on the accounts that matter most.
Measure what drives revenue. Build attribution and pipeline reporting that connects marketing activity to opportunities and closed revenue.
Run the operating cadence. Support pipeline reviews, forecasting, and recurring business reporting for leadership.
Partner with Finance. Make sure commercial data flows reliably from deal to contract to revenue.
What We're Looking For
Experience in revenue operations, sales operations, or marketing operations, preferably at a B2B tech or AI company, including hands-on CRM selection and implementation.
Strong systems thinking: you can define funnel stages, design lead routing, and turn messy data into reporting that teams actually use.
