Uncountable is looking for a product manager who recently graduated from or will graduate from university. This role is perfect for a high-achieving CS student who is interested in breaking into product management right away or looking to gain more well-rounded product and business experience before starting their own company. This will be a fast paced role with a lot of responsibility and a steep learning curve.
Our goal is to revolutionize industrial research and development. We're looking for a motivated PM who can help to build a state of the art development platform that will be used across Fortune 500 companies.
This role is an in-person role working out of either our San Francisco or New York office.
Primary Responsibility
You primary responsibility will be to prioritize features, plan projects, triage issues, and assist engineers.
Examples:
- Writing up 20+ tickets on a weekly basis with implementation plans
- Developing planning documents for larger projects
- Making judgement calls about which customer-facing issues to work on next
- Participating in management-level discussions and company strategic initiatives to get a broader perspective on how the Uncountable platform should evolve
Important Caveats

This is not a back-office data science role. About the Role:
As Product Marketing Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping how we bring Uncountable’s solutions to market. You will own positioning, messaging, product launches, and competitive insights, translating deep product understanding into compelling narratives for our customers.
You’ll work cross-functionally with Sales, RevOps, Customer Success, and Engineering to tell the story of how Uncountable delivers value to R&D organizations. This is a high-impact role with direct influence on go-to-market strategy and customer adoption.
Key Responsibilities:
Craft compelling messaging and positioning for Uncountable’s core platform and product modules (e.g., LIMS, ELN, Analytics, Reporting, PLM, AI/ML, etc.), tailored to R&D leaders and technical buyers;
Support demand and lead generation efforts by helping strategize and create content and messaging for campaigns, webinars, and events;
Lead strategy and support execution of net new lead generation programs, as well as lifecycle and database marketing (e.g., re-engagement campaigns, nurturing campaigns, win-back, upsell, etc.);
Lead product launches and spotlights, including planning, enablement, and external rollout across web, email, sales decks, and more;
Support go-to-market (GTM) strategy for product launches, including internal enablement, external rollouts, messaging updates, and cross-channel coordination;
Build and maintain customer personas and use case maps, gaining a deep understanding of customer goals, pain points, and buying journeys across various industries;
Develop sales and customer-facing content, such as battlecards, one-pagers, product briefs, and solution narratives;
Drive competitive intelligence and win/loss analysis to inform positioning and product strategy;
Partner with Sales and Revenue teams to train and enable reps on product value propositions, use cases, differentiation, and discovery questions;
Create product-focused assets, including solution briefs, datasheets, product videos, sales decks, demo scripts, comparison charts, and more.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
3- 6+ years of experience in product marketing, ideally in B2B SaaS or enterprise technology
Proven ability to position technical products for business outcomes.
Experience working with (or marketing to) R&D, manufacturing, or industrial audiences is a plus;
Proven ability to strategize and execute on product marketing efforts;
Experience building and executing lead generation campaigns;
Experience with content creation (e.g., blogs, website copy, one-pagers, presentations, etc.);
Excellent storytelling, writing, and presentation skills;
Comfort with ambiguity and a startup mindset—you’re excited to build from 0 to 1;
Strong project management skills with attention to detail and deadlines.

Primary Responsibility
You will be responsible for:
- Building specific LLM powered features end-to-end, including both LLM-specific tasks (prompting, optimizing latency, tuning/testing behavior) and traditional fullstack development tasks (coding frontends/backends, designing APIs and databases)
- Developing a great in-house LLM stack to serve the evolving needs of our product (API integration, testing, observability, caching, infrastructure for fine-tuning and inference, etc)

As a Scientific Implementation Associate, you'll work directly with R&D teams at some of the world's leading industrial companies, helping them bring their science into the Uncountable platform. That means understanding how they design experiments, what data they generate, and how they think about their workflows — then translating all of that into a platform configuration that actually reflects their science.
It's hands-on, technically engaging work. You'll spend time restructuring and contextualizing real customer datasets, designing data models that capture complex experimental relationships, and iterating on configurations in close collaboration with scientists and engineers. Over time, you'll also take on increasing ownership of full customer implementations — from first meeting through go-live.

Support Scientific Implementations
Work alongside senior implementation team members to onboard new customers and support existing ones with new implementation initiatives
Learn and apply Uncountable's implementation methodology to configure the platform for individual customers' experimental workflows and data environments
Take on increasing ownership of implementations over time, eventually leading your own from end to end
Design and Configure Complex Scientific Workflows
Translate customers' experimental paradigms — how they define formulations, design experiments, record measurements, and track results — into accurate, well-structured platform configurations
Map scientific data structures (multi-variable formulations, hierarchical sample relationships, linked test methods) onto Uncountable's data model, making principled decisions about how to best represent each customer's science
Work through ambiguous, real-world data environments — customers with years of legacy spreadsheets, idiosyncratic naming conventions, and non-standard workflows — and design configurations that are both scientifically accurate and practically usable
Iterate on platform configurations in working sessions with customers, testing and refining until the system genuinely reflects how their team thinks about their research

Month 1: Develop deep fluency in Uncountable's platform and implementation methodology. Begin configuring experimental data for onboarded customers under the guidance of senior team members, learning how to faithfully capture end-user workflows.
Months 2–3: Start joining customer meetings and demos, contributing to scientific due diligence sessions and data requirement conversations. Take on configuration work more independently, with support from your team.
Months 4–6: Take ownership of the implementation process for a new customer. Lead meetings, set timelines, manage milestones, and advocate for any product development needed to deliver a great outcome.
Scientific background: A B.S. or higher in chemistry, materials science, biology, chemical engineering, or a related field — or 1+ years of hands-on experience in a scientific or technical role
Data fluency: Comfort working with data in Excel or similar tools; Python or other scripting skills are a significant plus
Software fluency: Hands-on comfort working with scientific or technical software — whether that's an ELN, LIMS, instrument software, or data analysis tools. You don't need to be a software engineer, but you should be someone who picks up new tools quickly and isn't intimidated by data-heavy environments

Uncountable is seeking a scientific implementation manager to support our Customers in APAC/China with a breadth of scientific experience to bring into a career in business development. The scientific implementations role at Uncountable leverages your scientific understanding and problem solving skills to bring both the scientist and their science into the Uncountable ecosystem.
In this role you will (1) lead scientific implementation of the Uncountable platform (2) restructure and contextualize customer data and (3) use real-world customer experience to drive product development so we can build the best possible data structuring tool for R&D. It is fast paced, project oriented, customer and engineering facing role. This position demands a sophisticated breadth of scientific knowledge, impeccable communication skills, and the ability to empathize both emotionally, scientifically, and organizationally with a variety of users spanning the R&D landscape.
Within 30 days you will take ownership of experimental understanding and ingestion of onboarded customers. You will work with both the customer success and sales team to expertly configure data templates and scientific workflows within the platform to the end-user.
Within 60 days you will begin to lead meetings and demos with new customers, running scientific due diligence, acquiring new data, and running through iterations of the platform configuration with the customer.

Uncountable seeks a results-oriented Content Marketing Manager to join our small yet powerful marketing team. This role requires someone 100% committed to working in a fast-paced, young startup environment, with motivation and drive to proactively lead and/or identify new and/or existing content marketing efforts. This person must quickly understand, develop, and engage large organizations through diverse multi-channel content marketing efforts. As a small marketing team, this role will be pivotal in the strategic development and coordination, creation, management, and optimization of all content marketing activities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong self-starter mentality and the ability to thrive and succeed within a highly technical B2B SaaS organization.
The Content Marketing Manager will strategize, create, manage, promote, and optimize engaging content across multiple channels and mediums, including the blog, social media, email marketing campaigns, newsletters, webinars, case studies, white papers, sales collateral, and other relevant platforms. This candidate must possess strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as storytelling abilities, with the capacity to tailor messaging and narratives to various target audiences and industries.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with marketing, product, and sales teams to develop engaging, relevant content that communicates our product's value to our target audience.
Manage our editorial calendar (maintaining consistent cadence, brand tone, messaging, content, SEO objectives, etc.), ensuring all content is published, promoted, and shared/distributed with any key stakeholders on time.

Utilize SEO best practices to increase the visibility of our content on search engines.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
3-4+ years of experience in content marketing within the B2B SaaS industry
Proven ability to create engaging content that drives brand awareness, lead generation, and customer engagement.
Excellent understanding of SEO and experience with content management systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail
Familiarity with data analysis and using metrics to inform content strategy
The ability for potential travel ~10% of the time

This is not a typical customer success role. As a Scientific Implementation Manager, you are the person who bridges the gap between a scientist's world and Uncountable's platform — and that requires something most software companies can't offer: someone who genuinely understands both.
You'll work directly with R&D leaders, bench scientists, and technical teams at some of the world's most innovative industrial companies, helping them translate years of experimental knowledge into a structured, powerful data environment. You'll configure the platform to reflect how their science actually works, identify where their data lives and how to bring it together, and guide them through a transformation in how they manage and leverage their R&D.
At the same time, you'll be a critical voice internally — your customer-facing experience will directly shape product development, ensuring we keep building the most useful R&D platform in the industry.

Lead Scientific Implementations
Serve as the primary scientific point of contact for new customers through the full onboarding journey
Translate a customer's experimental workflows, data structures, and scientific domain into a tailored Uncountable configuration
Restructure and contextualize customer data so it becomes immediately useful, searchable, and actionable in the platform
Drive Customer Engagement
Lead discovery calls, demos, and working sessions with R&D managers, scientists, and technical stakeholders

Set project timelines, manage implementation milestones, and ensure customers hit their go-live goals
Design and Configure Complex Scientific Workflows
Architect end-to-end platform configurations that faithfully capture a customer's experimental paradigm — from how they define formulations and design experiments, to how they record measurements and track results
Map intricate scientific data structures (multi-variable formulations, hierarchical sample relationships, linked test methods) onto Uncountable's data model, making principled decisions about how best to represent each customer's science
Work through ambiguous, edge-case data environments — customers with years of legacy spreadsheets, idiosyncratic naming conventions, and non-standard workflows — and design configurations that are both scientifically accurate and practically usable
Iterate on platform configurations in close collaboration with customers, running working sessions where you test, refine, and validate that the system reflects how their team actually thinks about their research
Develop and document reusable configuration patterns across domains (coatings, polymers, pharmaceuticals, food science, etc.) that can accelerate future implementations and inform product development
Shape the Product
Act as the voice of the customer internally, surfacing patterns and gaps you see across implementations
Collaborate directly with engineering and product to advocate for features that meet the real needs of R&D teams — your field experience will influence what we build next
Month 1: Develop deep fluency in Uncountable's platform and learn how we implement it. Take ownership of configuring experimental data for onboarded customers, working alongside the customer success and sales teams to faithfully capture end-user workflows.
Month 2: Begin leading your own customer meetings and demos. Run scientific due diligence sessions with new accounts, gather data requirements, and iterate on platform configurations with live customers.
Month 3: Own the end-to-end implementation process for a new customer. Lead demos, set timelines, run alignment meetings, and advocate internally for any product development needed to deliver an exceptional outcome.
Scientific depth: A meaningful background in chemistry, materials science, biology, chemical engineering, or a closely related field — you should be comfortable discussing experimental design, data types, and R&D workflows with PhD-level researchers
Communication: Exceptional ability to explain complex ideas clearly to a wide range of audiences — from bench scientists to R&D directors to business leaders
Empathy and adaptability: The ability to understand not just what a scientist is saying, but what they actually need — and to navigate different organizational cultures and working styles
Software fluency: Hands-on comfort working with scientific or technical software — whether that's an ELN, LIMS, instrument control software, data analysis tools (e.g., MATLAB, JMP, or similar), or scripting for data processing. You don't need to be a software engineer, but you should be someone who figures out new tools quickly and isn't intimidated by data-heavy environments
Project orientation: Comfort managing multiple workstreams simultaneously and driving projects to completion in a fast-paced environment
Genuine curiosity about software, data, and how technology can transform R&D
M.S. or higher in chemistry, materials science, chemical engineering, biology, or a closely related field, plus 2–3 years of post-degree work experience in research, industry, or a technical customer-facing role
Hands-on lab experience — time spent running experiments gives you instant credibility with our customers
Experience in a customer-facing, consulting, or technical role where you had to explain complex scientific concepts to varied audiences
Familiarity with data management concepts: spreadsheets, databases, ELNs, or LIMS

As an LLM Applications Engineer, you will be the architect of our LLM infrastructure. As a Scientific Support Specialist, you will own steady-state support for Uncountable's SMB customers and a select group of designated mid-market accounts. You are the first line of contact when something isn't working, when a customer has a question, or when a new need surfaces — and you're responsible for making sure every one of those moments is handled with speed, care, and follow-through.
While programming skills are not needed for this role , this is technically demanding, customer-facing work. You'll triage and resolve inbound support tickets, investigate platform behavior, coordinate with the Scientific Implementations team on continuity across accounts, and escalate clearly to engineering when needed. Uncountable is looking for an exceptional account management leader to join our growing team as Director of Account Management. Requirements

This is a hands-on, field-facing role for someone who will own partner relationships day-to-day and personally generate sourced pipeline, a builder/driver role, not a coordination role. As a Customer Success Associate, you'll drive adoption at our largest and most strategic accounts. You'll be the person who gets scientists actually using Uncountable: building the adoption plan for each account, running the training programs, coaching power users, and diagnosing where usage is stalling and why.
This is a specialist role, deployed where it matters most. Account Managers own the customer relationship and the commercial outcome. You own the adoption plan: creating it, delivering it, and reporting on it. You'll carry three to five accounts at a time, typically global organizations with thousands of researchers across multiple sites and divisions. Your primary measure of success is weekly active user growth at those accounts, and your bonus is tied to it.
You'll join each account in the final stretch of implementation to lead training as the platform goes live, then stay with it afterward to turn launch into daily habit.
You'll sit between our Account Management and Implementation teams: enough scientific fluency to earn credibility at the bench, enough commercial instinct to connect adoption to renewal and expansion.
Create the adoption plan for each of your accounts: who needs to be using what, by when, and what's blocking them today
Monitor platform usage data to find at-risk teams, underused features, and pockets of strong adoption worth replicating
Diagnose why adoption stalls (unclear workflows, missing configuration, change resistance, an unconvinced manager) and drive the fix with the right internal team
Report progress against weekly active user targets to customer stakeholders and internal leadership

Surface the use cases that land, and the ones that don't, to Product and Engineering

Navigate large, multi-divisional organizations where adoption is won site by site and team by team
Partner with Account Managers to turn adoption strength into renewals, expansion, and referenceability, and flag risk before it hits a renewal cycle
Act as the voice of the user internally, bringing friction from the field to Product and Engineering
Month 1: Build fluency in the platform, our customers' scientific workflows, and how our top accounts use us today. Shadow training sessions, then start delivering pieces of them.
Months 2 to 3: Take over training delivery at your accounts. Write your first adoption plans and get close enough to the usage data to spot problems before customers raise them.
Months 4 to 6: Run a measurable adoption program at a strategic customer against a weekly active user target, write up what worked, and become the person the AM team pulls in when a key account needs to move.
1 to 4 years of experience in customer success, enablement, technical training, implementation, consulting, or a scientific role with meaningful customer exposure.
Scientific or technical grounding. A degree in chemistry, materials science, biology, chemical engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience in a scientific or technical environment.
A teaching instinct. You're good at making complex software feel obvious, and you get energy from watching someone go from confused to fluent.
Comfort with data and software. You can work with data in Excel or similar tools and use usage data to build an argument. You pick up new technical tools quickly.
Strong communication. Clear writing, clear speaking, and the ability to adjust between a bench scientist and an R&D director.
Ability to travel 30 to 40% within your region. Adoption work happens onsite, in labs, with people.
Hands-on lab experience. Time spent running experiments gives you instant credibility with our customers
