One day you will be leading the pilot roll out for a tier 1 defense prime, the next you’ll be running around San Francisco helping AI companies win their first drop of government revenue. You will have a figure it out mindset willing to hustle to reform the current way products get sold into the government and diversify the Allied industrial base.
Serve as the deployment lead of Usul for a portfolio of some of the largest and fastest growing defense and space companies in the world, owning all post-sale relationships from onboarding/training, enterprise adoption, expansion and renewals.
Run the capture process for AI companies for our Services business: coordinating with consultants and government affairs to help carve a path for commercial rocketship companies to expand into the government.
Coordinate complex product onboarding paths from defense-tech startups building in their garage to Fortune 500 companies with thousands of employees ensuring every single user maximizes Usul’s value to transform the way they win defense contracts.
Lead commercial upsell/cross-sell expansions within every account.
Own customer health using metrics on your accounts to increase retention, reduce churn and close renewals.
Collaborate with Sales, Product and Engineering directly influencing our product roadmap and path to revolutionizing how every allied government and defense company interact.
1-3 years of consulting/strategy experience with big, old industries. You know how to navigate these rooms of C suites and pitch ROI. (McKinsey, Bain, BCG preferred)
Defense contract experience. You've worked on proposals or understand how the process works.
Crazy high agency and ability to context switch extremely fast.
Willingness to travel 1-2 times per month for client engagements.
Entrepreneurial experience and mindset - you are excited about building things from scratch and are able to identify issues and execute quickly.

Usul is building the “Amazon for Government”, a world where any company can sell to any government in a few clicks on their computer. Anything from national security tech, space stations, energy infrastructure, healthcare and more.
Our AI platform helps companies identify, pursue, and win the government opportunities they’re most likely to convert and makes it dramatically easier for governments to buy from the private sector.
In 1 year we’ve grown to $5M+ ARR securing Fortune 500 government contractors, the U.S. government and NATO as customers. We’re now entering the next phase of growth to capture the entire U.S. market and expand to over 60+ allied nations.

This role is responsible for designing, building, and executing on the strategic projects that will enable us to hit escape velocity and hyper scale globally connecting every company and government. This is a crazy opportunity for an early career operator/entrepreneur to sit at the center of how to scale a company from early growth stage to IPO.
You’ll help shape strategy, build operational systems from scratch and act as force multiplier with the founders to improve all aspects of the company.
Own the operating rhythm of the company including stand-ups, offsites, planning cycles, and the connective tissue that keeps a fast-moving team executing in sync
Be the CEO's right hand on go-to-market strategy, turning high-level bets into structured plans with owners, timelines, and outcomes

About the Role:
As a Product Designer for Usul, you'll design for our commercial platform, helping the biggest defense companies in the world and frontier startups win government contracts across our allies, as well as for the GUIs and workflows that government operators use daily to acquire technology at high speed. Partnering closely with the Head of Product Design, you'll cross-collaborate with engineers and operational stakeholders to take features from discovery to delivery, while adhering to a consistent, scalable, and intuitive experience across the Usul platform.
We're looking for someone excited to build a new category of product for an audience where Excel is considered \"cutting edge.\" You can work autonomously across multiple domains, from initial research to high-fidelity delivery, and you're able to balance execution speed with deep user empathy.
